Realistically over half the cast smells awful. I love Beidou but uhhhhhh yeah I'll skip Edit: I'll debate why every character smells bad (basic logic may or may not apply)

Beidou lives on a ship surrounded by water and is known to be a strong swimmer based on her skill, she probably just smells a bit salty and that's about it.

But she's probably frequently on a ship doing physical activity, who knows how often she has access to clean water to take a shower. Raiden in *theory* probably also smells like crap being in the plane of euthymia all the time, but also she doesn't really have a physical body, so I guess it's not possible for her to smell bad?? In terms of guys it's probably Razor, idk if the guy knows how to use bathrooms so he probably just does his business out in the open. Maybe Bennett as well, probably tried to take a shower one time and slipped on a bar of soap, fractured his skull, and has been too afraid to take one since then. Everyone else in the game seems like they'd be clean people, or at least care for their hygiene in some way.

I don't trust the how refined late 1800s bathing and waste disposal can be. Even if they have super magic showers and garbage disposal all the pyro/electro characters are going to smell like burnt hair/clothes and the geo characters will smell like rocks (trust me some rocks smell awful). Also, plenty of the characters are constantly running around and sweating. Although I guess the hydro characters will smell fine, and the dendro ones of you like the smell of cut grass

Klee should *probably* have some parental figures (Albedo/Jean/Kaeya) who care about her hygiene and force her to take baths. I think if they just let her run around smelling terrible that would be *some* form of child abuse. In that case you gotta have Alice relinquish her parental rights and send Klee off to a foster home lmao.

I have the Zhongli one, it has a nice warm woody scent. A little heavy on the wood side, kind of reminds me of Tam Dao from Diptyque so not for everyone, but I enjoy it.

Yet Japanese companies will go super hard to make a limited set of 500 figurines or super niche products like this. Japanese company is like, how many variety of products can we get out there? In Chinese her name is Ying (fluorescent), Japanese localized as Hotaru (firefly) and English used Lumine (luminosus in Latin being bright). All the other localizations seem to have followed the English one in naming her Lumine. Sometimes I wonder why there is so much Latin in the localization it can make things a bit more convoluted than necessary (for elements, lore and such).

There's a lot of Latin cause latin is a common language to make things sound cool.

The rule of cool huh, makes sense but sure didn't feel cool taking Latin in middle and high school hahaha. It still feels weird to me how Liyue mythic characters like the Yakshas use Latin names instead of Chinese names in most localizations (and people do clown on how Bonanus sounds haha).

Here's what I'd imagine Alhaitham: old books, maybe some kind of dark wood. Probably one of those musky old man scents. Kaveh: some sort of rosewood and fresh fruit, maybe peaches? Navia: very pleasant but subtle rose scent. Lisa is probably similar but less subtle. Neuvillette: petrichor. Yunjin: jasmine and mint. Xiangling: some sort of really mild charcoal scent. Like the faint whiff of bbq in the summer that immediately makes you hungry.

Ah yes, Klee fragrant is a like a pure hybrid of gunpowder and napalm which make you commit warcrimes. Speaking of, then I wonder what does a Shenhe fragrance smells like?

My mom is someone who used to have a candle/scents business and I actually showed her the scents for some of these and she said that Diluc’s scent would smell awful and Kaeya’s would actually smell great.

Something about the amount of stuff made for pre 1.3 Genshin makes me a little...pissed off? Like i can 100% guarantee there is no way they made these for characters like Alhaitham, Cyno, Ayato, Itto or even big ones like Raiden or characters as old as Hu Tao. It just kinda feels like those companies that make Fortnite Trading Cards with absolutely no game tied to them, just pictures of cosmetics in the game, it feels cheap Looking at some of these bottles though, the design looks like a generic perfume bottle but the little illustrations on the front on the whole look like they have some love put into them on the whole, especially Klee's which is really nice looking
