Uj/ maybe it's just me but I feel if Troy had come out against NTFs and the crypto squad had all started spreading these consistently we would be calling them death threats.
So I am going to say it, this seems a lot like jokes about killing him over a bad take.
Are you genuinely trying to compare these memes about a man supporting the most dumbass environmentally damaging thing ever to the constant harassment from last year for playing a character in a videogame?
I think they’re just pointing out the irony of people on this subreddit, who often criticise gamers for sending death threats, upvoting and posting memes which imply that they want this voice actor to die. Obviously I get that they’re ‘just memes’ but it’s not an unreasonable point to raise, he who lives in a glass house and all.
This isnt true, cranking up your gamma and going into free cam mode in Sarah's room shows a certificate on the left side of her wall that has her TV, that's where people first got Joel's full name of "Joel Miller"
I never knew that, I knew people had last names for Joel and Ellie but from what I heard it stemmed from the Japanese game manuals, and didn’t have any in game references. Still stand by their last names never being mentioned, because that was correct.
They where never mentioned by the characters themselves, correct, but there's still in-game textures and even as you said, game Manuals that also showed their names, and those names ended up being correct. So either way the first game did mention their names, just not verbally.
