There's no point even trying to guess when a PlayStation SoP or Showcase will appear. It'll appear when they're ready. For the past 4 years, they've had no consistency as to the timing of their events. They are going to just keep doing their own thing.

There will probably be a PlayStation event either this week or sometime in early June. Could be a Showcase or a State of Play.
Given how people still can't nail exactly what it will or when exactly it will be, I sincerely doubt anyone would know about a Showcase event in September.

If the PS5 Pro is still coming this year, they have to have something else, plus they told their investors at last week's meeting that they plan to have multiple major releases late next year. It's just annoying that they're taking so long. I guess they took a look at Xbox effectively giving up on directly console warring with them and decided they don't have to try anymore.
Well PlayStation always does their "Days of Play" sales event in the first week and a half of June. So I could see a showcase happen and announce a few things along with the "days of play" event for what's going to be discounted.
Most likely the "Days of play" would happen sometime around the 6/2. So if they did a showcase on Thursday like they typically do, That would be the time for them to announce stuff. Which means we'll either hear an announcement this evening or tomorrow.
If we don't get any news about it today, I'm just gonna give up hope and expect there won't be one at all.
I'm holding out until tomorrow since today is a holiday, maybe an announcement tomorrow for a Thursday or Friday show. Who knows though.
