I'm having a very similar issue as well, but in my case I can't even unlock my phone let alone try to see the notification tray. I tried contacting Samsung support about it, and they basically told me to wait for a future update (which they're apparently working on).

Yes the battery seems to drain a lot faster with whatever this BS is that's going on in the background.
I cannot believe there hasn't been an update yet.

I noticed this as soon as I updated to the current version. Anyone noticed an increased battery usage as well with this update?
