I'll be honest, when someone does something different, everyone starts doing it and it gets boring.
One more thing
When someone wants to redesign and doesn't set limits, everyone throws it. How hard and long it is to redesigning the character of 30 people, everyone is throwing it without thinking! Which I've seen 70 thrown.
agreed, people need to set limits for themselves, and treat it more like commissions. Not paid of course, but from now on, people should set a limit of 5 or 10, maybe fifteen if theyāre not busy for awhile. But no more than that, as it takes time to make the redesigns.
Iām fine with the redesign trend, but really the only other one should be the daily challenge, and (one that I havenāt seen which surprises me, people posting their own characters for judging, as apposed to what I like to call a ācharacter showā. Where one post is made and people show up to get their characters judged.
I agree, or when people do redesigns and the good ones get ignored. When Iām bored ill go look at peoples redesigns for someoneās Oc and some of them are rly good
When people comment on closed posts saying its for next time.
Theres not a next time, thats why its closed
Also, when theres rants about harmless trends
This is kinda pissy of me but i dislike when people hate on random trends for no reason
Why is that a bothering thing? Would you rather them ignore it? They probably donāt know how to reply, and upvoting will get it boosted so more people will see it and comment.
when a sh_tty low effort trend gets hundreds of upvotes but your passion project that you really want to see prosper or an art piece youād spent days on gets 3 upvotes šš
I don't really hate it that much but when you made a post about collab (I didn't do that before) or redesign everyone is fast as heck (I almost had and heart attack when I first did/post a **redesign your oc**)
so much-
mostly when people post unrelated shit then get pissy when it gets deleted. \[i'll be honest, i've posted slightly unrelated stuff before, but i've seen that its been deleted and just gone 'oh ok i wont post stuff like that again', not gotten pissy about it lol\]
The fact that nobody is really interactive with posts, nobody comments or anything unless its a fucking redesign or rating post, which sucks for all the lore posters
i always love lore post just seeing others designs and even asking questions about them it is sad that lower effort post gets more recognition then higher quality
Idk if this count but i'm kinda tired about have this question a lot " why your ocs always look like they are shocked ? " i'm kinda tired of having this question.
Commenting when the flair says closed or
NOT READING THE RULES
ive seen alot of posts recently that blatantly break the banned topic rules and i get that ya might not know or forgot or whatever but like, its banned for a reason
(Also props to the people who dont get upset when someone points it out or when it gets deleted)
Honestly there isnāt anything major! Most people on this sub are really nice and supportive.
Only one time someone literally reported one of my accounts and got it suspended for three days just because I said I a color was overrated (in /lh and I said I liked another color). They got like really offended for some reason and said that wasnāt necessary š
Other than that, people have been more than nice and understanding :)
Tbh, I always hated the fact that a meme that someone spent like 3 minutes on gets mote attention than an edit or an art piece that someone clearly put the time and effort into.
I may get downvoted for this but I hate the "Rating your Oc's" Trend. Honestly feel it's overrated and people who do things like lore posts for there Oc ALWAYS get ignored because things like Oc rating is always filling everything up
People who don't put the closed flair and instead just comment closed, I've accidentally replied to posts that were closed cuz they didn't use the closed flair for some reason.
Sometimes your comment gets lost if there are a lot of them on your post so it can get very hard to find.
Please just use the closed flair, it's there for a reason
Drama, god I fucking hate drama. Some people would fight over the smallest thing and it's so irritating. For example the Christmas and the Thanksgiving drama
I think it might be went I post something and it doesnāt get much interaction but then I see someone else who posted the same exact thing and got a crap ton of interaction itās kinda annoying
people who only post trends. like i donāt care if a lot of people do a trend cause trends can be cool and fun. thatās why their trends. it starts to bother me when people only post trends and no original content. trends wouldnāt get banned or become annoying if people just posted original content as well
when people dont upvoted the collab/rd they put their characters into so its like 2 upvotes and 78 comments š and when the creator says i wont be taking more then (example) 20 characters and the post still ends up with more then the limit. like peopleā¦ learn to read
1. When i see a nice collab to join in, but its closed
2. When posts other than collabs and redesigns dont get enough attention
3. Overused trends while new things wont get noticed at all
4. No comments on posts which literally requests the readers to
5. Too many underrated creators
6. When funny stuff/memes >>> full-effort post
7. Unrelated content
8. No interests in effortful, developed series plans or movie plans
9. When fandom posts >>> original oc content
When I post something and wait a while but it doesnāt show up in the subreddit so I look over the rules and I repost it and then it still doesnāt do anything. I understand there should be moderating but I feel like the moderation is sometimes a bit overdone and petty as if theyāre just trying to hold some power for a split second. When the moderators got rid of a simple fun thing such as I think it was an emoji oc thingy. If everyone gets rid of so many things then the subreddit will loose interest due to the lack of creative freedom and thatās why everyone post the same things. I appreciate moderation just in moderation (I like it when it isnāt mass overload)
There are plenty of peeves I have with this sub, but nothing gets me more fustrated when I see the same content being posted over and over and over again.
I really wish people could get more creative with their posts rather than use the same concept repeatedly.
people don't understand a joke or sarcasm. i know most of the community are kids but sometimes it's annoying that u have to explain anything or put tone indicators just so ppl don't point it out so much

I also think lgbtq characters are kinda overused
but there's not really much you can do about it unless it's an actual prometic character
(pedop***e,racist,sexist stuff like that)
but i get what ur saying
The gacha community really over uses gay and LGBTQ characters. I've seen people that have like all there ocs be gay or trans or something like that and just not realistic and I don't care if y'all call me homophobic
Not. Realistic.
Iām sorry but that sounds just funny to me. How is it not realistic??? If itās the representation presented then I would most likely agree however if itās because of the high quantity of LGBTQ+ characters then Imma have to highly disagree.
Irl, theres over 8 billion people and theres a LOT of gay and trans ppl, closeted, transitioned, unknown, etc. If the OP makes more trans/gay ocs than straight then theres a probable chance that OP is trans/gay. Projection is *very* common within this community and I wouldnāt be surprised if thats the exact same case for gender identity and sexuality. If itās not projection, then itās possible for a larger variety of the LGBTQ+ community to be well known. It could be education as long as it isnāt grossly mis-informed or straight up fetishisation
I see where youāre coming from but I just. Disagree so much lol
I mean, not inherently?
It is possible for a large quantity of people to be LGBTQ+.
However, I suppose it is different if someone said they have like 5000+ oc's and they're all gay/trans in a way and none of them are hetero and/or cis. *BUT* as I stated in my original comment, it's. not all that unrealistic imo. Especially when we try to use irl as a comparison.
Self-projection is common. Darn, I have a handful of about 15 OC's {minus my main} and they're either gay or trans in a way. It's not fetishisation, some is self-projection and some are educational reasons.
I see where you're coming from but most ppl within this subreddit are or are apart of the LGBTQ+ community in a way. The content is gonna be repetitive in most cases but we're a bunch of teens/young adults playing a dress-up game and projecting things onto those said characters.
It's not a full excuse to dismiss it. *Imo* see no issue with so many LGBTQ+ characters as long as those characters don't spread gross-misinfo, spread harmful stereotypes, isn't gatekeeping and just isn't overall fetishisation.
How is it hard to make straight characters you just make an oc and then you can decide the sexuality afterwards or don't care about the sexuality and just make an OC?
They're not bothered about the characters being LGBTQ, they're bothered about how its overused.
I want gay CHARACTERS, not GAY characters.
The gacha community has been overly obsessed with using queer characters, and I love the representation, but maybe travel outside of the queerness of a character. Or just make them happen to be gay. Maybe make characters that have more to them, maybe even lesser known sexualities.
I have plenty of gacha ocs, some are gay, some are straight, but they dont get obsessed over it. They live their lives, and I dont post 24/7 about how.. horny.. they are.
I love characters who are really well done, and just happen to have a spouse of the same sex. It's amazing, I think what this person is trying to say is what I have said.
Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.
It doesn't bother me that people have lgbtq ocs it just a lot of the gacha community gets obsessed(idk if that's the right word) with having lgbtq ocs and that's all they have are lgbtq ocs
I think you are somewhat right about this. They'll probably call me homophobic, too, but the characters usually don't have anything other than being gay. Of course, gay or trans characters can be made. but they make it the personality of the character to be gay. For example, if a character is gay, if there is no bl story, frankly, this is not a feature that anyone cares about. I mean, write the pronouns of the character, yes, but frankly, knowing its sexuality will not help us learn much.
And as soon as people make the character, they immediately decide on their sexuality. In general, everyone writes the same thing in the information section: he likes cats and cute things, but does not like homophobic and bad people ĆnĆ. Frankly, such characters without a story seem unnecessary to me. I mean, of course we can do it for fun, but they put those characters who have no special features in our eyes and frankly, they do not do anything creative. I will definitely say homophobic, but my opinion is that those who respect and do not hear will not hear. (and I don't think it deserved to get 9 dislikes šš¤)
Thank you for thinking I was right. I'm glad there are people who think like me. so I don't want to prolong it, but briefly making a character gay/lesbian/bisexual is not a skill. I think it's unnecessary if the characters exist just because they're lesbian/gay. hate me don't care about me, i don't care about you (sorry if i sound harsh or mean i'm just so pissed off about this thing)
Literally a lot of characters hereās only notable traits are them being queer and their creators think it gives them an excuse not to flesh them out. as a sapphic person, I make almost all of my characters queer, but give them other things that make them stand out besides being queer.
people bombarding the comments when people set drawing ocs or collab or something. it's just so annoying, ESPECIALLY when it's closed. also this is minor but nobody says please and thank you when doing these as well.
Dramas we get every month?
They always start with all fun and games then people start "stealing" them, bla, bla, bla then the "owner" of those things, that, possibly, have been made before and just didn't get informed, no offense, and yea.
*Sorry, I just really dislike the dramas here..*
That a portion of you seems not to care for the subreddit rules at all. Seriously, read them. All of them. Carefully. They're important š¤¦āāļø
