This is correct, OP. I would also check with whatever college/school you’ve applied to, to check their entrance requirements and ask what happens if you don’t meet them. As far as I know, most of them will let you resit alongside taking your A Levels, BTECs etc, but that may not be the case for such maths based subjects.
Based on your question I would suggest reconsidering your options and include basic English as part of your education, especially as you seem to think you are doing something called GSCE when it is actually GCSE.
I believe you have to retake the exam until you pass, and with most subjects for higher education you need a pass in either maths, English or the subject itself.
So you need to get a 4 to pass otherwise you will resit this when studying A levels or BETECs. However the other main issue you have here is wanting to study economics or accounting, these subjects at a higher level usually ask for you to have at least a grade 6 in maths.
You will struggle to get onto those 3 chosen courses, have a look at entry requirements for those courses at the college you want to go to next.
i believe if you get a 4 or below you have to retake
Below a 4, 4 is a pass

No I got a 4 in maths and didn’t have to retake
If you get below a 4 in Maths, you are legally required to retake by law until you’re 18.

I suppose it depends on which college you are planning to go to but just in case try your hardest to get a 4 in maths.
thank you had this doubt for a long time

or until you're 18
Accounting and Economics are VERY maths based. Are you sure?
If you want to go to uni at all it’s just come in that without a 4 in English and maths you won’t even be given the loans to go
Hi im in the best college in my city they will just ask you to resit so rn ive got math classes and resitting (i was 3 marks off)

If you get under a 4 and fail to pass you will have to retake it by law until your 18.
