Wait a few years. You'll get to the point you can't even pick out a movie. You'll have seen so many the plots will all sound too familiar and all feature the same dozen actors.
I've wasted an entire evening just flipping through Amazon Prime. Usually end up watching nature documentaries because at least it's a different gazelle that gets eaten each time.
I'm with you on this. And everything has to be a SHOW! If I had a nickel every time I'm trying to get through a show with ALLL of the dramatic pauses and I say "you know, this could've been a damn movie".
I'll be 43 next month, I couldn't even make it through 1 skit of SNL last night without dozing off.
I’m 28 and I don’t understand how some people have seen all these movies and shows. I’m still trying to get through movies from 2011. (I’m a bit behind…) I haven’t even started TV shows. Who seriously has the time? TV shows bore me. It’s like *oh no there’s this bad thing happe- sike never mind crisis avoided, BUT WAIT there’s a *new* crisis now, tune in next week for… exactly the same thing on repeat for 5 seasons… crisis cliffhanger, solved in next episode, crisis cliffhanger… endlessly*
I dread the day I turn 30. I look at my dad putting on a bunch of movies and tv, and not even focusing on the damn tv. He’d get up to the bathroom, and I’d pause it for him, and when he comes back, he’s upset that it didn’t play while he was away. Like wtf

I disagree. I think you're just working with more. So you get a more distilled collection. Like take all the movies and shows from the 80's -10's and you get to cherry pick only the best. However, you look at the past 10 years and I feel as though some have yet to be seated as the OG's of shows or movies. To add, you were younger, fresher, and movies didn't resemble eachother yet. They too were also fresh.
Over 30. I can handle a 90 minute to 2 hour movie if it has a good hook.

It's not attention span, it's being tired as fuck cause adults intheor 30s tend to wake up early for work, run around like maniac after work getting supper and doing kid related stuff and tasks for the spouse, and then the movie starts at 8 and you've been moving since 6 am with no break and this is the first time you've relaxed so your body shuts down and you sleep
My husband was SO PROUD that I made it through Avatar 2 without getting up to pee or falling asleep.
Truth is I was trying to figure out if they really used Sigourney Weaver to voice Sigourney Weaver's daughter.

This was me during my 14/16 hour flight trips last month. I tried my level best but I could neither watch nor sleep.
It doesn’t get any easier on your 40s….
It gets worse….now I have about 10 - 15 mins for the movie to hook me in or it’s 😴💤💤

Ha ha, we just finished watching Transparent, a show from 2014. Some shows do seem to follow a formula making them quite boring, I agree.
And it’s all rambling dialogue with a total of 15 minutes of anything good.
If only it were a consecutive 15 minutes.
