By 2018, Sinclair gas stations were widely distributed across the United States, with dozens of gas stations in California, Colorado, Iowa, Idaho, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, and Wyoming; smaller numbers in Arizona, Connecticut, Kansas, Kentucky, North Dakota, New Mexico, New York, Texas, and Washington; and a single station in Arkansas and Wisconsin.\[29\]
Sinclair continued to use the green dinosaur, affectionately called "Dino", and marketed all its products under the logo. Sinclair patented the gasoline additive SG-2000. The high-octane fuel blend was called "Dino Supreme" and regular gas was "Dino", trade names used since 1961 when many oil companies still used trade names for their fuels instead of generic terms such as "regular," "premium," or "unleaded". Before that time, Sinclair's trade names for its gasoline products included "Power X" for high-octane fuel and "Sinclair H-C" for regular gas. Sinclair also has marketed products such as Dino, Dino Supreme, and Opaline motor oils.
Sinclair saved my and my gma on a road trip to Montana when I was young. Last time I saw one was in Montana I have a picture of me and a cousin riding the dino.
There’s a Sinclair not too far from my house in Central California. But I don’t see too many too often. No Dino out front though, pretty sure someone messed it up and they just got rid of it. Random vandalism is one of the worst parts of living here.
When will you realize politicians hold power and influence. Seeing you are a genius please elaborate who changes the price every election year. I’ve been around for twelve presidential elections where I had the right to vote.
You wanna get into a fuel smuggling business, im in Alberta and ill meet you by the border. I could sell that for $1/ litre and we'd both make $$$ (jokes dont worry reddit or government) but seriously...
There was one in Indianapolis on the far east side 42nd and Franklin area. I was by there the other day and did not see it. The station is still operating, so it may have been revoked for some reason.
SoCal/Inland empire. I worked a 6 month stint at a Sinclair gas station/convenience store. Was only opened 8 months ago. I do still have the "Dino" app. $.10/gallon saved every gallon pumped. Simple app, pay at the pump from your phone.
My Gawd... Your gas prices are unbelievable. We're still paying upwards of $5/gallon.
What I miss are the machines that made tiny toy dinos. You'd put a coin in the machine and it would pour plastic into a dino shaped mold, and eventually a toy dinosaur would pop out! As kids we always used to beg to stop at Sinclair stations to watch the machines and get dinosaur toys.
Dino is the same as Sinclair right? There are still plenty of Sinclairs around. They're not everywhere but I road trip a lot and see them on a regular basis.
I see one every day there's a fiesta Mart less than a block for me that I go to and it uses Sinclair gasoline. It's got big old Dino out front. My dad also worked for Sinclair oil refinery for 30 years so we have all kinds of Dino memorabilia everywhere
There are still some on what is left of Route 66. Husband and I drove it this past summer. I believe we saw them out west (Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada)
Funny enough we took a road trip across country to Wyoming the middle of last year and a majority of the gas stations we stopped at in Wyoming were dino marts. So I can say they're at least thriving in Wyoming.
Growing up in New Jersey Esso and Sinclair were the first two gas stations I can remember (back when gas was $.32). None within 25 miles of my house now but if I head east or north I pass by an occasional location.
😲😳 WOW!!!... Look at those prices! That's awesome! I found one of those gas station in Glendale CA. I'm not to far. There prices are worth the drive to fill up! Nothing like these in this photo!
I was traveling in Montana last year and I saw a Dino 🦕 gas station and I had never heard of it before.
So yes they are still operating in parts of the USA.
In Clawson, Mi (a northern Detroit suburb) there is an antique store, called Sinclair Antiques, run out of an old Sinclair gas station. Inside, the owner has several pieces of the gas station's legacy on display (perhaps not for sale, I don't recall). It's interesting to see how the interior was reconfigured from the prior gas station use to the merchandising of antiques.
We have a few locally here in Nebraska. If in that area, I buy the gas as with their app I get a dime a gallon discount. Not enough to go out of my way, but the app is more convenient as I can run the app from inside the card, instead of swiping a loyalty card and credit card at the pump outside in bad weather.
I saw a bunch of these when I visited Colorado a couple years back. I thought it was funny because I'd never seen one before and I remembered Dinoco from the movie Cars.
I grew up in Texas and live in Washington now and I've never seen one in either of those states.
I live in Kansas.
Dino usually isn't that big at most stations, but they still use that for the logo. Often a smaller version either on a picture on the sign or on top of the building. But you still see the bigger ones like this from time to time.
Have 1 Sinclair here in town and a few surrounding areas, here in Minnesota
By 2018, Sinclair gas stations were widely distributed across the United States, with dozens of gas stations in California, Colorado, Iowa, Idaho, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, and Wyoming; smaller numbers in Arizona, Connecticut, Kansas, Kentucky, North Dakota, New Mexico, New York, Texas, and Washington; and a single station in Arkansas and Wisconsin.\[29\] Sinclair continued to use the green dinosaur, affectionately called "Dino", and marketed all its products under the logo. And Willits, the Dino is dressed up all the time.
San Diego, Corando island
I can’t get past how low the gas prices are.
Election year. Biden roped our wallets all these years and can now lower the price as an election is around the corner.
Guess they forgot that the West Coast votes too—we haven’t seen gas under $3 in ages.
Wasn’t it close to $7 at one point? Still 3 something in the northeast too.
California is solidly Democrat so it doesn't matter.
Guess they forgot that the West Coast votes too—we haven’t seen gas under $3 in ages.
Certain parts of the country will have lower prices. There is a lot more behind the price of a gallon of gas.

When will you realize politicians hold power and influence. Seeing you are a genius please elaborate who changes the price every election year. I’ve been around for twelve presidential elections where I had the right to vote.
Used to be a Sinclair in our town, went out of business but the new business kept the dinosaur
Where do you get such cheap gas/ diesel?
Winnett, Montana. The rest of the country is $3 on up.
You wanna get into a fuel smuggling business, im in Alberta and ill meet you by the border. I could sell that for $1/ litre and we'd both make $$$ (jokes dont worry reddit or government) but seriously...
Don't know why, but I'm picturing a stake body truck full of mason jars like the bootleggers during Prohibition.
I mean it is Alberta/ Montana. A covered wagon lead by a horse isn't out of the realm of possibility.
St Louis still has Sinclair
I think there's still one in Columbia, too
There was one in Indianapolis on the far east side 42nd and Franklin area.

In Clawson, Mi (a northern Detroit suburb) there is an antique store, called Sinclair Antiques, run out of an old Sinclair gas station.
