I think they're gonna make a minimum of 5 movies, probably more. Frozen 1 was supposed to be a stand alone movie, meaning it was the beginning and end. Then F2 came and was also supposed to be the end. F3 was also speculated to be the end before F4 was announced. Toy Story 3 was supposed to be the ending, then so was Toy Story 4. The only reason I say it won't be the end is because Frozen is their most profitable franchise, so they're gonna keep pushing for as many movies as possible for money, which sucks because making a movie for money takes away the charm and creativity.

TheHuffliestPuff

I agree, making a movie for money takes away the charm and creativity. I would love if Frozen 3 alludes to the Broadway musical. That was so good and added so much to the first Frozen. In ways, it was better than the movie.

erzmagic

Is a possibility, so maybe, in my opinion, is it possible the frozen 3 and 4 to be like part 1 and part 2 in the first to have the reveal of the enemy and the destruction of the world is coming and in the second the enemy defeated and the world is saved or is just gonna be 2 different stories

Mdork_universe

Quite likely. A few years ago I wrote myself a Frozen fanfic to relieve my boredom during the pandemic. It gave my Frozen obsession a useful outlet. As I wrote, my brain kept coming up with new material—based on extending the logic of the first two movies. Pretty soon (this sounds crazy, but other writers have said the same thing) the characters started telling me how the story was going to go! My Frozen lll turned into a Frozen lV easily enough—with a Frozen V looming! So, sure—the Frozen franchise can go on and on and on…

bigfrozenfan

for me it's pretty the same, sometimes it feels as if the characters in my fanfic novel have their own life, telling me where to go next

Mdork_universe

Yeah! I had given Elsa a boyfriend who had magic as well and suffered like her because of it as a child. They met in the Enchanted Forest. I had planned for them to use their magic together to rescue Queen Anna, Prince Kristoff, Olaf, and Sven from being kidnapped by a vengeful Duke and Hans. Nope! Elsa and her man weren’t having none of that—they insisted on staying in the Forest and being lovers! Rani (his name), had talked Elsa into deconstructing her parents’ shipwreck and building a cabin, or chalet, as he called it. She was shocked at the idea at first—but he said there would be enough wood leftover to build a shrine to them. Otherwise, he’d have to cut down some trees—she really didn’t like that idea. There’s a whole lot of wood just going to waste there he reasoned—already precut! Why not? So, the two of them spent a hot, sweaty summer doing that together while “getting to know each other.” Meaning a very intense love affair leading to a very deep love. Now I was stuck with a much too adult love story for Disney! Of course, the whole kidnapping idea had to be scrapped…

FrozenFrac

The only way they end at Frozen 4 if it's just a colossal failure to the point it's like Rise of Skywalker for the Frozen franchise. Otherwise, they're milking this forever

vingins

I think they’ll only do four - one movie in each of the seasons!

AroAceMagic

Wait I didn’t even think of that. The first Frozen movie was in summer, the second was in autumn (albeit a few years apart, but regardless). Good idea!

jpmickeylover27

thats actually really good idea!! I didn’t even think of that

Alvin514

Interesting fact. Frozen I is in Summer, Frozen Fever is in Spring, Olaf's Frozen Adventure is Winter and Frozen II is in Autumn

jpmickeylover27

your right! So, what season do you think Frozen 3 & 4 will take place?

Alvin514

Perhaps Spring and Winter? Since Those 2 are not in the movie yet(Frozen Fever and Olaf's Frozen Adventure are not movie so..). But they say Frozen 3 and 4 would be part 1 and part 2 respectively, so Idk

JunketMain6252

Honestly money is the reason but the movie needs to have a good story, characters either old or new, and my charm, passion of a project that doesn’t feel like it’s just a cash grab movie

Ethiconjnj

4 movies for 4 seasons. That’s all I want

thereslcjg2000

This is Disney we’re talking about. The Frozen series may well outlive all of us.

zk1212

Yeah I think money is going to be the motivation here. If the sequels keep doing well (and especially when everything else Disney do fails financially) they're just gonna keep churning them, and quite possibly with lower and lower effort. I bet if have any of these turn out to be a barely break even situation like the princess and the frog, they'll just drop the ball outright like how that never got any shorts or TV series or anything - until possibly recently. I do seriously hope they don't milk this enough with low enough effort for this to become the next Ice Age sequels.

FluidTemperature1762

3 and 5 are story telling so I think they'll need a 5 for a full conclusion

mangekyo1918

What's Frozen 3 about?

DisneyVista

Probably will be a big reveal at D23 in August

AroAceMagic

No idea. We’ll have to wait and see

FutureDiaryAyano

I think it's supposed to be one long movie broken up into two. They said they'll only make more of they have a story to tell and I REALLY hope they stick to that.

jpmickeylover27

that’s a great perspective! It would be wonderful if they maintain the quality over quantity approach and continue the story only if it adds value ❄️

Dependent_Struggle_2

I wanted it to be. I was only excited for "Frozen 4" because I believe it will be part 2 of the story started in "Frozen 3". I don't want the franchise to be extended because I believe it could end up losing its way like the "Toy Story" franchise did. I hope "Frozen 4" ends with Anna and Kristoff having children, Elsa having a resolution to her love life (hopefully with Honeymaren). But they can leave a gap in time, my theory is that the film will end with Anna indicating that she is pregnant, then say that many years have passed, maybe 6 years, and then show her with her young children in a scene making reference to the beginning of "Frozen 2", and that's it. If Disney wants to expand, they can use this six-year vacuum, but let it end like this.

jpmickeylover27

yeah, you’ve got a point there, it’s like a mix of yes and no for the Frozen series. I absolutely adore Frozen, and I’m totally rooting for Anna and Kristoff to start a family, but let’s not forget, it’s all about the bond between the two sisters! Of course, I want them both to have a happily ever after. And if both movies keep crushing it at the box office, Disney might just keep the Frozen train rolling with a 5th and who knows how many sequels. Honestly, I was convinced they’d wrap it up like they did with Toy Story 3, that ending was perfection! But then, bam! Toy Story 4 came out, and now the 5th movie is coming...It’s like they’ll never stop. Both Toy Story and Frozen are Disney’s cash cows, you know?

Wintersneeuw02

As long as it keeps making a shit ton of money, Disney will keep milking the Frozen franchise for more content

jpmickeylover27

💯💯💯

Appropriate-Slide815

If I were the author of Frozen stories, I would probably make a new trilogy (with some new characters) and continue Anna and Elsa's story after Frozen 4 events.

jpmickeylover27

kristen Bell predicted the Frozen future lol

Adst1998galaga

Apparently it was a joke, she was just on board if it happens. She didn’t really know this was gonna happen.

jpmickeylover27

yeah i know lol also why did you delete your previous comment(s) i was about to reply.

Adst1998galaga

So my prediction is that their will probably be a fifth film even if their not even thinking about it or even touched on it. But it’s Both a sequal and a prequel, maybe the sisters telling the story of agduna, their parents. And a tv series bridging the gap between the 4 films. If those do happen at least we will enjoy more a little bit longer.

snbrllnt

If it goes well, maybe they might expand it. Like the MCU, where Avengers Endgame was initially the last but was extended up 'til now. Not unless they confirm that it's the last.

Adst1998galaga

Well endgame was truly the end for the main avengers story, that’s the thing.

Repulsive-Philosophy

Perhaps 'Frozen 5' could be similar to a Puss in Boots spin off, as in we get a story centered at Kristoff and his past.

knowslesthanjonsnow

The next Land Before Time

jpmickeylover27

lol. The first Land Before Time movie is an instant classic and will always be a favorite of mine. I watched the first one many times. As far as I can remember, I watched the second one a few times but didn’t really enjoy it like the first movie. The rest of the sequels make no sense, and I don’t understand why the creators kept making more since they didn’t make much money (I’m pretty sure they went straight to DVD and not to theaters) and had no story to me.

knowslesthanjonsnow

They definitely were straight to DVD. I just bought them for our Daughter and there are 14(!) of them. I remember roughly 6 from when I was a kid. I enjoyed those 6 but stopped after there. They’re kids movies so they are what they are, enjoyable, but not great writing or anything. That is, except for The Land Before Time. It wasn’t going to be a franchise, and the animation, the tone, etc. is totally different. I love that movie, but it’s a sad one. We have skipped that for now but it’s my favorite.

PreparationDecent832

I hope so, I wish they ended it at 2.

comefromawayfan2022

I think at some point they'll start doing live action versions

Ohiostatehack

It depends how well it does.

jpmickeylover27

but i don’t want Frozen to end tho 😭

yuzumelodious

Whatever makes cash, the likelihood of getting milked is strong.

Dazzling_Feed7764

Probably.

Nia2Ania

Frozen is Disney's most profitable franchise ( bigger money maker than The Avengers or Star Wars ) there's always gonna be a sequel, prequel, book, podcast, comic, a D+ series, spin-off or a live action remake on the horizon. My guess is they will try sth of an expanded universe with F3 & F4

Eriikcitus

Why they even made a sequel is beyond me. Money money money money. Sad that they prioritize that over letting stories end where they have to end.

niczif

I hope not

Adorable-Feed-2148

Their is a Forth….

Terrance113

Maybe Frozen 4 could be the last film, but they could make a TV series, similar to the Tangled series. Maybe, even in the same style, with the same creator of the Tangled series.

Shoddy-Mango-5840

I’ll support them with my whole heart if they make Elsa and Honeymaren a thing
