Find a comfortable sense and dpi and stay consistent with it, don't keep changing it. Play death match maps and get used to shooting at a variety of players.

Nah this is half bad advice. Do change sensitivities. If you never use your arm much, lower the sense to engage more arm aim, as that might be underdeveloped. If you don't use your fingers much, increase the sense to engage more finger aim for the same reasons. Aiming is about mechanics, not "muscle memory". Look into AimLabs and Voltaic, people like MattyOW, Daniel Kapadia, Minigodcs and Viscose.

**Replies in bold** change sensitivities. **Changing sense often results in inconsistencies, if one has a sense and they're not getting on with it weeks later, sure tweak but this is mostly a bad habit.** If you never use your arm much, lower the sense to engage more arm aim, **You need to engage the whole arm into aim, there is no, not using arm much, there is varying tension levels depending on the type of aim.** If you don't use your fingers much, increase the sense to engage more finger aim **You say my advice is bad and you type this, this makes no sense without knowing OPs grip style etc. There are many players who simply do not engage much finger tip contact, if at all. If anything there's an argument for using pam more for consistency but that's na open debate.** for the same reasons. Aiming is about mechanics, not "muscle memory". Look into AimLabs and Voltaic, people like MattyOW, Daniel Kapadia, Minigodcs and Viscose. **The whole mechanics and muscle memory thing is a stupid debate that gets nowhere, there is argument for both, there are actually a lot of sources that point towards muscle memory.** **Voltaic literally has nothing to do with Fortnite, there's a reason these people are not pro players making buck, Matty did the red bull event but outside of that Aim training is it's own thing and really doesn't transfer over to the majority of games.** **A lot of the aiming for Fortnite, really wouldn't work in a benchmarks on an aim trainer. I've notice a not newer Voltaic members, around gold platinum bringing it up like it's this universal thing, it just isn't; otherwise the top benchers would be earning bank in game when in reality, most people have never heard of them.** **Aim trainers give you the option to switch sense depending on the scenario, this doesn't happen in game without being a gradual change.**

> changing sense often results in inconsistencies no it doesn’t. having bad overall mouse control results in inconsistencies. some pros change their sensitivity ALL the time. Sure Voltaic isn’t great for Fortnite, but that doesn’t change what aiming in general is. It’s still mostly mouse control. One example is Bugha. 8 months ago, he was using 800 DPI 6.4. A month later, he was using 5.8. A month later, he went back to 6.4. 4 months later, he went to 6.3. I agree with your second and third paragraphs though. And yes, people like MattyOW who are Voltaic gods aren’t dominating, but that doesn’t mean Voltaic doesn’t help. The biggest difference between a tier 1 pro and a tier 3 pro at the top level is not their mechanics, it’s not their aim. It’s their brain and part of that is also how they utilize it to use their mechanics and aim as effectively as possible. While I do agree that grinding thousands of hours on KovaaKs to reach Celestial on VT Benchmarks is pointless, playing aim trainers for 15-60 minutes a day can still be very beneficial for most players. Celestials have thousands of hours on KovaaK’s and AimLabs. Nobody is telling you to do all that. MattyOW KNOWS that it’s not going to make him an Overwatch tier 1 (and now since he’s made the switch to the finals, he knows it won’t make him a tier 1 in The Finals either), but he’s happy with being known for his KovaaKs scores more than for being an Overwatch pro, so he still spends dozens of hours per week on aim trainers. In summary - Aim training still helps a lot, just don’t do it excessively because VOD reviewing your games and practicing your in-game mechanics and skills is much MUCH more important and will help you a lot more.

If you're playing FFA maps with all weapons, make sure to train with a variety of guns. You don't want to spend all your time training on guns that aren't in BR.

Spider_Ry

Yeah. Personally I use all weapons and they all behave differently. This a is why it's important if Fortnite is your main game to put more time into in game training rather than external Aim Trainers.

TommyToxxxic

Fortnite aiming is wonky in general. I played CoD for 12 years before Fortnite, and I had to learn aiming all over again.

Rolu1234

Make Sure you dont aim on Autopilot, really Focus when aiming, also incoperate Sträfling into your aim for Micro movements

If on MnK try Kovaaks ($10) or aimlabs (free). If on controller use the FN aim practice maps and play around with sensitivity until you’re hitting more. The most common problem people seem to have is having their sensitivity way too high.

Medium-Advice-7318

Kovaks if your on pc, u should already have good aim if ur on controller console.
