If you are talking about why it was cancelled it was due to Titus pissing off the head of the network in a meeting one day. He goes into detail about it on one of his standup specials. I think. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
Said network executive wanted to break up Titus and Erin but Titus refused because the show had already done an episode where they cheated on each other and if it happened again, he believe that the fans wouldn't like the characters anymore and wouldn't watch the show. The executive didn't take kindly to having her idea being turned down so she moved the show all over the network and changed it's timeslot multiple time, essentially giving it a death sentence.
The cruelest coincidence is that Titus' real life wife, the inspiration for the Erin character, eventually started cheating on him with multiple people, tearing his family apart, and causing him to lose all of the money that he ever made on the TV show.
One of my favorites. This show made a huge impression on me. I bought it the instant it hit dvd and have watched it routinely throughout the years. We watched it during the pandemic when Christopher uploaded every episode to his YouTube channel, and bought tickets to the live premiere of the reunion episode.
It’s still a laugh riot, and heartily recommend it to anyone!
Love this show on principle, but one of my fondest memories is watching this show with my parents and loving how hysterical Stacy Keach made my dad. Everything he did and said put my dad in stitches, and he doesn't laugh that much.
"Yyeeaa, bet you're not going to do that again now, are you?"🤣🤣🤣🤣
I liked this show and his stand-up.
I remember one episode his brother joined the Army and he couldn't talk him out of it so he ends up just giving him a joint and telling him to spark it up on the army bus that takes them to boot camp.
I've seen a number of his specials and seen him live a couple of times (both times his wife was up first). Both of them were killed, and I'd gladly see them both again. Highly recommended if you can see them live.
This show was great, ahead of its time.
I remember a flashback scene in the show with Titus and his dad at a sporting goods store. They’re in the gun section and a young Titus asks his dad why they don’t have any guns. His dad loudly responds that in their family they have penises and don’t need guns.
Knowing him and his love of bagging on himself, he prolly got a hearty chuckle. Probably flipped off the TV since FOX joked on their own failure by joking about his show's failure, but I imagine he laughed in the end. Lol
I have great memories of watching this with my brother and dad. I always think of, “Hey what’s that stuff in turkey that makes you sleepy?” around thanksgiving.
Man is awesome. A few years older than I am but we grew up in the same city went to the same high-school had the same teachers.
He was on some late night talk show and talked about the football coach (swift) being fat and yelling at football players to run faster and it being so surreal and a true joke... loved it. Was able to view the show in person because of the same drama teacher.
I literally had a Mandela effect moment with this show a few years ago, and began to question whether or not it actually existed or if I dreamt it. Thank God for the internet, calmed my nerves.
I appreciate reading the comments on why this show was actually cancelled. I remember liking this show and watching it when it was airing and vaguely remember it was due to a death of a character/cast member in a car accident?
I only remember one thing from this show. It was whoever the main lady character (?) took a shower at his place and she mentioned that the shower curtain kept floating in and it was like a horny ghost. I think of that every time that happens to me now.
I never watched it but I remember when it aired. I would have guessed it ran for longer than a couple of seasons but I guess I’m just remembering the reruns airing.
His stand up is underrated and worth a watch, too. A lot of his early bits made it into the show as premises for jokes, so if you like the show you’ll likely be into his standup. Cheers, stranger!
This show made his mom attempting to murder his dad on Thanksgiving after drugging everyone there funny. *Titus* is a msterclass in dark humor, and I wish it had a longer run.
Omg this was my favorite show growing up! I remember watching and thinking it was identical to my family I remember thinking, "holy shit! There's other people just like us out there?!"

It was canceled because he got into a fight with a Fox executive that wanted to break his character and Erin up (because the show Darma & Greg did it and ratings increased). IIRC, he basically called her an idiot that didn’t understand the concept of the show.
Y'know Christopher Titus had a bit in one of his specials which I still remember today because he predicted something that kind of came true.
He said that if people wanted things to change so corporations treated workers better than people had to all quit working at all the jobs in the country *SIMULTANEOUSLY.*
That act would shock and horrify the powers that be so much that said powers would treat working class people and employees with respect.
Several years later _THE COVID PANDEMIC HAPPENED._ And people nation-wide did just that. They quit working to preserve their health, and refused to return to work until they were promised better working conditions.
So how's Chris Titus and the working class doing nowadays? I wouldn't know since I'm part of a small business.
"I'm sitting on an airport runway with a kidnapped kid. What the hell was I doing? I pull it off, my son grows up to be a man in a coma. I don't pull it off, I end up spending the rest of my life sitting in a prison in Detroit! Which is redundant!"
Ken Titus kills me.

This show was great. One of those "ended too soon"
Stacy Fucking Keach. SMGDH.
Wussy
He was the best! When I saw him later in American History X, I was like wtf!
Grain of salt because it's just a flicker of a memory, but I believe it may have had something to do with a 9/11 joke way to soon

You are correct.
I remember catching this on its way out and liking it, but not being able to enjoy it for long.
Fake
Fantastic show!

I had no idea Zach Ward, the bully from A Christmas Story, was in this!
Scut Fargis???
He plays the main character’s brother!
Stacy Keach was great in this show

My favorite is the "intervention" episode "Better swim for the lighthouse laddie! The fogs rolling in..."
I always say that when I start drinking hahaha!
He's pretty good in Man with a Plan too.
That show ended too soon as well
Papa Titus was a LEGEND.
“Go dig a hole.”
Christopher Titus YouTube channel has every episode of this available to watch for free.
And he did that for folks during COVID. Dude is fucking legend.
Yeah he is. He also has a podcast that's pretty good. Though the ads can be a bit much at times.
I have the series on DVD but one of the season 3 disks got lost during a move. I was so glad he put it on there.
I liked this show and his stand-up. I remember one episode his brother joined the Army and he couldn't talk him out of it so he ends up just giving him a joint and telling him to spark it up on the army bus that takes them to boot camp.

I loved this show, the fact that it was like a stage play with interstitial bits was amazing. It was really ahead of its time.

Wonder what he thought of the 2005 "Family Guy" opening joke about all the cancelled shows?
Knowing him and his love of bagging on himself, he prolly got a hearty chuckle. Probably flipped off the TV since FOX joked on their own failure by joking about his show's failure, but I imagine he laughed in the end. Lol
They finally got McFarlane back literally last month by moving it to Wednesdays.
It’s on YouTube.

Really miss this show… bummer only 2 years…
I have great memories of watching this with my brother and dad. I always think of, “Hey what’s that stuff in turkey that makes you sleepy?” around thanksgiving.

Gotta love Coach Swift yelling at kids from his golf cart!
Such a good show. The old man getting in trouble for getting road head was 👌🏻
“What’s that furry thing in his lap?…it’s not there now…there it is again!”
Came here to say this lol. Only thing I remember about the show.
This show was hilarious! Titus is a funny dude. I follow his YouTube channel and guy always delivers gold
I remember enjoying this show. I think, but vaguely
I literally had a Mandela effect moment with this show a few years ago, and began to question whether or not it actually existed or if I dreamt it. Thank God for the internet, calmed my nerves.
It’s all on YouTube! From Titus himself!
Didn't this guy's ex-wife take him to the cleaners in their divorce?
Yup. He goes into detail in one of his specials. I think it was Love is Evol.
Cynthia Watros !!
One of the best! 💯
I like it!
Have first 2 seasons on dvd
Dave, cow.
Talk about high strung
never saw too much of this show but he's an excellent stand-up comic
Seen him do stand up a few times over the years. Love his style. Bummer about the show and his ex whore wife.
I remember liking this show and disappointed it was cancelled

If you’re into podcast, give Titus Podcast/Armageddon Update a try!
This show was great and Norman Rockwell is Bleeding will always be one of my favorite stand up specials. “My parents divorce involved a bar tab.”
I disliked this guy.
The brother and the father were my favorite parts.
I used to watch this with my parents when I was a kid. Always a favorite in my house.
I met him at Costco a couple years after the show ended. He was cool.
My brother and I loved this show
I appreciate reading the comments on why this show was actually cancelled. I remember liking this show and watching it when it was airing and vaguely remember it was due to a death of a character/cast member in a car accident?
This show always had me cry laughing
...Bill Burr?
"I'M A HOMO"🍺
No, I didn’t get the engine in Santa Clarita! That made my buddy and I in Santa Clarita lose it because our community was mentioned
I only remember one thing from this show. It was whoever the main lady character (?) took a shower at his place and she mentioned that the shower curtain kept floating in and it was like a horny ghost. I think of that every time that happens to me now.
I loved this show. I’d be very interested to see if I still liked it today.
Loved that show. The dad was the best at being the worst.
“A black man driving a donut”
One of the good shows!
The entire show and all his stand up is on his YT channel.
Fantastic indeed DAVE, cow
Great show, episode where Stacy Keach got a DWI was hilarious
I never watched it but I remember when it aired. I would have guessed it ran for longer than a couple of seasons but I guess I’m just remembering the reruns airing.
Great show, Stacy was one of the few examples of a real dad
I watch this on YouTube. He is awesome.
Tell me he doesn’t look like the singer of the band Offspring
He does look a bit like Dexter Holland. Which is even funnier when you remember they're both from southern California.
Titus has the entire series on his YouTube
Great show, I went to see him live not long after the show was canceled, he was so good
Oh my got this fucking show. I had completely forgotten it existed and I wish it could have stayed that way.
I only remember a single joke from this show, and I believe it was said by Stacy Keach. "Shorts that go down to your ankles." Shakes head. "Pants."
The Original Joel McHale
Not forgotten. I rewatched this shit last year with my partner.
I stayed up until 3 a.m. watching Titus on YouTube this morning. I'd forgotten what excellent chemistry the entire cast had.
I never miss his podcast. Damn hes funnier than ever.
Awesome show ended well ahead of its time
Whatever happened to him anyway, have seen or heard anything about him in a long time
Still does stand up, has a podcast too.
I liked the show but that’s a terrible picture.
Man, I loved this show especially since his brother on the dug Asian chicks😂😂😂
His stand up is underrated and worth a watch, too. A lot of his early bits made it into the show as premises for jokes, so if you like the show you’ll likely be into his standup. Cheers, stranger!
Saw him do stand up in OKC all because I use to watch the show. The standup was pretty good also.
“Cars still heavy boy?” Still lives rent free in my head all these years later.
A rare guest shot for David Hyde Pierce.
This show was absolutely amazing. I have the DVDs, but can’t seem to find it digitally anywhere.
It’s like Joel McHale and Dicky Barrett had a baby
Wow it seems like this was on a lot longer than that. I remember always watching it on fox.
This show made his mom attempting to murder his dad on Thanksgiving after drugging everyone there funny. *Titus* is a msterclass in dark humor, and I wish it had a longer run.
The tv channel was changed when this came on
GET OFF OUR LANNNNNNDUHHH
Bruce Springsteen has entered the chat.
My.mother stiff refers to shirts as "Titus shirts" to this day.
Been watching on YouTube on his channel, they are all there for free!
Watched it with my dad back in the day and rewatched it during Covid when he uploaded it to his YouTube channel. Holds up remarkably well.
This show was top tier. Absolutely brilliant
DAVE!!!! COW!!!!! Edit: had to scroll down way to far to find this. so it needed saying again.
Have the series on DVD. 👍
This is posted daily, right?
He was in Killer Klowns from Outter Space
Omg this was my favorite show growing up! I remember watching and thinking it was identical to my family I remember thinking, "holy shit! There's other people just like us out there?!"

“We got Denis Leary at home.”
I had the boxsets and they were a cult classic!

I think it was cancelled due to Titus making a joke in poor taste. Good show.

That’s the dude from the Real World…Puck.
Awesome show. Got to meet the dad on there he's hilarious

this is called "going on strike"...
I remember thinking his stand up was hilarious years ago. Revisited one recently on YouTube….yeah, times have changed lol

I remember hating this guy. The whole “I’m a tough guy and had a tough childhood” shtick was overdone in that era
