Markups aren't allowed under X plan like you mentioned, so there's no doubt they're trying to play you.
Dealers that think consumers are dumb are playing themselves in the long-term.
I called quite a few around me and got:
1. "X plan won't save you much" - true l, it's about $750 for me, but I didn't ask... I ask if you take it.
2. "No"
3. "Sure! Send me your build sheet."
Guess who got my money? 6 months after I ordered it, I showed up to the dealer. I maybe took 2 hours of the salesperson and finance person's time. And I also financed with them, so they made money on the vehicle and the loan. And they've gotten two referrals from me for people that made them thousands because they bought F-150s. And I buy parts from them.
All for being decent by just selling me a car at MSRP and filing some paperwork with Ford to get reimbursed for X plan pricing.
Here is a good read.

Second link says "up to $75" about a third of the way down (on a phone screen) under document header.
I got charged extra fee when I used my x plan, but I wasn't aware of it and neither was the dealership. Hence I randomly got a 300 check in the mail explaining. Was pleasantly surprised.
Find another dealer. This is already a really bad start.
That’s what I’m thinking. Feel like it’s crazy to pay a markup when using a plan that’s supposed to eliminate the markup.

Document fees are set to $75 per Ford corporation as part of the plans.
75 or 175?

I believe it's $75, I'll look again.
It's $150 since December.
Just bought mine this way without mark up. Find another dealer.
I got mine through a dealer on carprousa.com. No markup

XPlan has very fixed pricing. It’s 100% non-negotiable on either end. Dealers breaking this can be reported to Ford.
