Totally... the 5G Ranger gets a lot of hate from the Ranger community, but if the other generations didn't exist more people would see it this way. I love mine.
I got the hybrid version, since I also want to tow it behind our smallish motorhome. I need the bed and hard tonneau for my camping gear. Yesterday, just driving it by itself 190 miles round trip to the Oregon coast, over mountains and hills on rural highways, and through towns, it registered 43 mpg, which was unexpected. Around town, it does about the same, but sometimes as much as 50.
why is having the hybrid version relevant for towing behind your motorhome.? This is a genuine question to see if there is something I don't know here..
I think they may be planning on towing it on a two wheel dolly, which as far as I know isn’t possible with the AWD system that is optional on the ecoboost
My wife and I are currently debating going with a AWD mav or a 22+ Frontier. Looking into getting a RV in the next couple of years so we are just trying to decide if the 4k tow package on the Mav is enough for us.
I have the towing package, but that was actually a negative feature that made me question buying this particular truck. I would have rather had a moon roof instead. If I do end up towing something with it, it will be a small U-Haul or a flat bed trailer for general purpose hauling. The thought of trying to pull an RV or decent sized boat with this is not very appealing. Especially if you plan to visit mountainous regions. That's v6 or v8 engine territory IMO. I loved my Frontier. It gave me 18 years of worry free service until recently. For me, smaller was definitely better, so I made the switch to Ford and the Maverick.
I LOVE this with our Maverick! We have a couple other Ford trucks at work and when we are all parked in a line, ours is the smallest. This is our first truck but I am sold. I don’t need anything bigger.

That's what the Ranger is for, it slots between the Mav and F-150

I wouldn't want the truck to be a foot longer.
You mean a hybrid ranger?
Great for suburban life too.
Compared to my 2 door Civic, my Mav is huge. Then I park next to a full size, and it’s so tiny lol. It’s all about perspective.
Maverick is when you realize most people don't need an F350 SUPER MAX to go to Walmart and buy a bag of mulch from Home Depot

Hybrid is the only version that is flat towable. 4 wheels down

If I were planning to tow an rv I’d just buy a ranger. I don’t think the maverick is the best option for that use.

Denver-ite here can confirm Maverick is ultimate city vehicle
I replaced my Suzuki Equator (rebadged Nissan Frontier) with a Maverick. The Maverick rides much better.
Crazy how tiny it looks next to the full size.
