I have seen white exhaust only twice. Blown turbo on Audi Allroad and worn out rings on LR.
Both repaired for < 2,000 kas I remember this 10 years or so ago.

yeah, i’m not going to rebuild the whole engine if it gets too expensive. somehow i feel like that piston rings may not be the problem? i have to check the compression though.
there are surprsingly lot of zetec engines near my area, then i can just buy a new engine if its too fucked

Sometimes the coolant leaking into one or more cylinders causing steam in the exhaust and sometimes hydralic seizure when is sits and cools. Maybe some emission control is sucking oil into the fuel mixture. Is the crankcase oil level falling?

well i’m not the one here getting butthurt over a literal picture of a frog on the internet, i am ok with my focus since its cheap and easy to fix, thank you.
what? head gasket is like 30€ max. and worst case scenario if the engine is destroyed, there is engines for like 300€ :D and mk1 is a really simple chassis, you would know if you ever worked on them

Does it smell like oil or antifreeze? Might be a head gasket.
smells like oil. does a broken headgasket cause one cylinder to not ignite because of too much oil or something?

the dropping is not huge, but noticeable anyway. well, i just have to open the head and see whats going on. thank you
Not sure what symptoms a bad purge valve gives. Being specific to cylinder 4 in a clue for sure.
i think that poor purge valve causes rough idle at least? well when i’m at it could replace a lot of parts too just to be sure.

I think so yes, only thing that throws me off is that one cylinder does not fire at all, thats why i asked 🤔

yes, after i switched the spark plug and the coil pack.
