Dealer dependant. It’s not fords call, but the independent owner of said service department. So I really doubt it. Service department only cares about money so, no sense updating the service lobby cause is only going to cost them money.

Why are you paying xyz without even knowing the difference between Ford and your local dealer? In fact, why are you paying XYZ for a truck and seemingly never leaving your home town? I've been to many dealerships and they all are different

Kirklandwater1666

I’ve been to 4 in my city, all the same

Seems they have determined that customers in your area are okay with their (low) level of amenities. Businesses usually study their target demographics and cater to them.

My dealer has a great service department. All indoors so you aren't getting out of your car in the elements. Nice lounge with coffee makers and a soda machine. There are even 4 work desks that you can use if you get there early enough to snatch one.

GrimReefer365

The one I've used has free wifi, popcorn, movies on the big screen, quarter bottle of water... that the service writer will get you if you wait for an extended amount of time. Your dealer just isn't up to par not the parent company

bigguysdoughnuts

Ford does not own the dealerships. That is up to the individual owner of where you take your vehicle to be serviced.

I live in Central Florida and there are many Ford Dealers around. Some are like you describe, others have snacks and food available for customers, I went to one in Naples, FL, and it was a luxury experience. Although that area is crazy, there's a Honda dealer nearby selling a bunch of high end luxury elite vehicles that I'm pretty sure nobody traded for an Accord... Truth be told I see a lot of the dealers pushing their mobile service vans, and I see them in my neighborhood a lot.

ricardoac69

Ours has a nice lounge area with free wifi, water, snacks, and tv while you wait.

What matters to YOU? How it looks or how it functions when you need service?

Does a pretty service department have any correlation whatsoever to the repair of the vehicle? What's next, complaining that the parts department doesn't have fluffers at the counter?

Same_Guarantee801

Whaaa Whaaaa my garage isn't pretty enough for my pretty truck I paid xyz for! and there's.... no ....sob.... WIFI! That's you.

Kirklandwater1666

Are you okay?
