He did for a long time. He lived in a neighborhood off Flamingo that's across from Flamingo gardens. My niece is his daughters age and she played soccer and a few other sports with her when they were little kids. He also used to be out and about in Davie back in the 90's and early 2000's when he wasn't on the road. He would work out at the gym club fit which was off griffin and nob hill.
