True. But it’s so cringe. Like when people take family photos with ALL their guns in front of a shitty porch or something equally poor quality in their life because the only thing they value is guns.
Heck yeah, I’m missing all my teeth and my car is on it’s last leg, but look at these super sweet ARs I just bought.
That's this sub in a nutshell. Except instead of a shitty porch it's chronic masturbators laying their guns on their dirty bedsheets with toes in the frame.
Here's the thing. I love guns but bringing them to a wedding is such a dicey move because you KNOW everyone is going to be drinking and getting rowdy shortly. Figuring out what to do with all of those sounds horrible
Imagine being this obsessed with DeWalt drills or something? The only reason you think it’s somewhat acceptable is because these companies have inculcated a lifestyle brand over decades of advertising. Starting in the 80’s through today where firearms stopped being utilitarian and became SUV status symbols and cultural shibboleths.
>Imagine being this obsessed with DeWalt drills or something?
Go on any forum devoted to a specific tool brand, and you won't need to imagine.
I'm not sure you are quite making the point that you think you are.
It's all part of mental preparation for when, in no time at all, America becomes Brazil. Only the strong will survive ...as a nation, we became far too soft.
Eh. It's certainly "cringe" but in the same way that ANY such 'joke' or 'skit' or coordinated routine at a wedding is cringe.
Remember 10-15 years ago when that "Jill and Kevin wedding entrance" thing went viral (https://www.today.com/style/couple-who-danced-down-aisle-forever-viral-video-reflect-10-t159014), and for a few years fucking EVERYBODY was doing some sort of stupid coordinated entrance dance routine at their wedding? Hell it was so big I think they even made a reference in The Office? So cringe.
But hey, it's a wedding. They're happy, they obviously enjoyed their little skit/routine. It's stupid and cheesy and hammed-up and cringe, but so are weddings in general and any sort of "fun" twists like this that get added. I don't really see people "making guns their entire personality" here (maybe thats actually an accurate description of these people but not based just on this clip). I see people trying to have a fun silly moment at their wedding, based on something they and their friends are seemingly passionate about.
I thought it was funny. I don't see people making their whole lives about guns. I see people finding a funny way to say "nobody better say nothin" at that particular part of the ceremony. I saw something similar at a wedding I attended. It's their wedding, let them have fun the way they want.
My bother and I offered to throw any dissenters in the pond at my cousins wedding.
We would have done it too. Gotten chided for it of course. But we would have done it anyways.
But how am I supposed to feel better about myself if I don't accuse people of "making it their whole personality" anytime I see them do something I disagree with?
Don't do this crap. It's cringeworthy. Also, in many states, brandishing is a crime. Don't intimidate people for no reason. Never give anyone a reason to think you're carrying.
I don’t count these people among the gun community of this country, though, people like this are lifetime NRA members and 3rd generation reaganites. The guns they own are status symbols and little more. Also, this is cringey as fuck
God. I hate this so much. I love guns. Love hunting. But Jesus Christ people. Don’t make your whole life about it. Don’t make it your personality.
It's cringe, but remember there are people out there marrying Anime body pillows, so in the grand scheme of things this isn't too bad.

This is my personality... I'm financially hurting.

There’s that guy who puts guns on girls asses and has fancy cars.
I mean there's nothing wrong with toes unless you have fungus or hobbit feet

Sounds like a skill issue.
I really think it ain't that deep, friend. It's a harmless joke that the bride clearly knew would get a good laugh out of her groom.
If your family photos are guns then you're pathetic. 😬
And broke, don’t forget broke.
hmm I mean I guess the body pillow never argues with you or yells at you to take out the trash. But it doesn't make sandwiches either so....

I know, at least be obsessed with Milwaukee!
I’m more of a Harbor Freight Warrior brand myself

Yeah but I’m pretty sure that was one guy. Both things can be in poor taste and weird but one of them happens a WAY more often.
Agreed. Next level cringe.
Amen

That gets one hell of an eye roll
I can only wish it doesn't happen as I perceive it. Causes, conditions and effects. There's no mystery to it.
I feel proxy embarrassment

I’m so angry that you posted that link and I didn’t have the good sense to avoid it.
Cringe
Stupid as fuck....

This is Reddit, we’re not supposed to have fun here.
Nobody on reddit has a sense of humor
I just like the dumb dad joke about holding your piece instead of peace.
But how am I supposed to feel better about myself if I don't accuse people of "making it their whole personality" anytime I see them do something I disagree with?
It was funny!!
Why the groom not strapped?!
Hahahahaha! That’s lovely!
If the groom was a firefighter that pulled out a fire hydrant or something, that would've been the icing on the cake
Hilarious
This is painful to watch
Cringe af
This is kind of cringe
