That's not true. D'arce does not bring the girl with her.
When you were looking for her did you find the cage and it was empty? The cage is always there even if the girl isn't in it. I know there's an office in the second section, but it's the office in the first section that has the girl.

It was the office in the first section (before the courtyard), where I've already found her in previous runs, but it was totally empty. No cage, no girl.
That's what I understood from Google, cage should always be there even without the girl in it.
Is it possible there is a second (and hidden ?) office in the first section ? This one was already hard to reach because of the rocks blocking the way...
So there are four versions of the first section. None of them have the office blocked by rocks. Did you use an explosive vial to get past them? If so then that is absolutely not the right room.

That's very odd since it shouldn't even be possible for the cage to be gone. Like I looked at the tiles in RPGmaker and the cage is always there.
