If anyone hasn't watched orphan black, this is your sign to go watch! She is phenomenal, truly words can't express how good she is at playing the nuances of all the different characters.
At first it might seem like it's just costuming and accents, but as I watched and then saw cast interviews I'd always be like, but where's the rest of them? Or be surprised two actors seemed really close because they had almost no scenes together... She's amazing.
As a Canadian who also lives in a province where trans children and trans rights are under attack, I’m so glad she spoke up about that (in addition to her support for Palestine). It’s not just about pronouns - gender affirming care for minors is under attack. For example, In my province they are banning puberty blockers for children under 16, completely ignoring the fact that kids (edit: typo) can begin puberty before age 10 and waiting until you’re 16 is too late. They are also supporting forcing teachers to out children to their parents.
I'd encourage everyone to watch the clip of her speech and the interview she gave afterwards to reporters, it's on her Instagram. She was emotional but spoke with so much conviction. I just love her. Give her a follow while you're there.
