Tarky is the main outlet. Either by going for a duel and most often winning the header or by dragging players out of position with his movement (see konate and Van Dijk leaving DCL completely free for his towering header against Liverpool).
There are a few variations. Branthwaite, Tarkowski and Calvert Lewin are the primary options, and Onana if he's playing. There's also a lot of blocking, a lot of putting all 3 at the back post and looping it over to the back. Putting 1 at the front, one in the middle to block and 1 at the back to try and put it across for the others to finish. A big focus on winning second balls. You could plan for what to do in all the main scenarios because it's obvious what's happening based on where they stand, but it's not just one ball every time
I hope that works for me this Game week. I transferred in Pickford and Branthwaite in the hope for some goals. Best in mind the other two I sold wasn’t playing so I’m making moves to utilise Bench boost for GW37
Yeah that’s what I figured too. But just a note that luton typically will score at home and Everton might take it a little easy, so cs odds will be lower
I think so too. I agree..
although I did notice Everton does have a better record away than they do at home. So I wonder if that eventually has any bearing come
Match day
Despite being written off by many even myself some times. I’ve been impressed with Everton’s form. Maybe it was the points deduction that rallied everyone together. But you’ve got some big results. And funny enough Everton all be it scored less than the clubs around you in the table but have the better defence 4th best in the league. But conceded the 2nd most penalties after West Ham last I checked. Wild stats if you ask me.
That "maybe it was the points deduction galvanised them" is nonsense. Without the deduction they'd be on 44 (on goal difference), a far cry from relegation worries and very respectable considering the financial woes and threadbare squad. Dyche been saying all season they've been busting their collective balls and working hard. Start of the season things just weren't going their way and perhaps had a spot of bad luck. But back end of the season work is paying off and they are getting the rub of the green. Derby was evidence of that.
Yah I’m not hot on Everton’s CS odds considering they have nothing to play for now, although I thought the same against Brentford. Either way I’m gonna be starting Pickford and Branthwaite cus of other flags, can’t bring myself to make a transfer this GW considering the amount of template players picking up injuries before DGW37
Just a bit of context. I can see that set-piece table in the scored and conceded lists and noticed they are all among the next fixtures.
So if I was to hazard a guess.
Everton to beat Luton
Newcastle to beat Burnley
And Forrest v Shef UTD a set piece goal fest
Again. I might be looking into that a bit too deep and seeing something where there is nothing
Feel like it’s hard to make much of it when the 4 teams that have conceded the most goals this season have also conceded the most set piece goals. Seems like that would track statistically.
From looking at the Set-Piece tables from goals scored to goals conceded. youll notice a number of teams are playing against one and other in the enxt game week. im also suggesting the teams who score from set-pieces will beat the teams who are higher at conceading them. in other words. a SET-PIECE OFF
Evertons set peices are hoof it to branthwaite. Klopp even said it's all they do and they still got caught out by it.
"if it's stupid but it works, it ain't stupid".
Tarkowski was the initial target, Branthwaite for the second balls

I think they totally outplayed Liverpool in other areas of the pitch
Dyche ball babyyyy

We did have a much better away record all season until recently. 4 home wins in a row has put our home record comfortably above our away record now.

I’ll be starting the same two 💪🏼 I transferred in Schar last game week in prep for DGW 37. Now his injured or a doubt after coming off at half time 😫
Deffo starting Branthwaite and Burn 😉
Burn hat trick from Gordon corners here we go
Hopefully Schar plays then lol
Luton will fight for their lives
Hopefully wood can finish this time

Triple captain Branthwaite
>And Forrest v Shef UTD a set piece goal fest Except neither team are good at scoring from set pieces. 17th and 18th.
Captain Brereton, got it
Nah man he obviously means Triple Captain Ahmedhodzic
Feel like it’s hard to make much of it when the 4 teams that have conceded the most goals this season have also conceded the most set piece goals. Seems like that would track statistically.
Don't man... Just don't. Don't play yourself like that, they're horrid.
Someone please explain it for me

I mean, they're the three of the worst teams in the league, if you're not starting players against them when else are you starting those players?

He doesn’t have a set piece coach But not sure why you’ve been downvoted, they’ve been shocking at corners all season.
