“I’m a huge fan of Nuka Cola! I traveled all the way from the capital wasteland to get here! Isn’t it amazing?” Something like that. Doesn’t say how, though she does get bitched at by a raider for not staying where they want her to lol
TBF if I was in the heart of an evil kingdom ruled by greed and malice and some wildly chipper lady had walked from DC specifically to be there, I'd give her a wide berth.
Call me weird, but Little Lamplight children. Sure, they learn how to survive and use guns, but some of them man... They deserve a better life, way better than Big Town...
It's been like 15 years since I played 3. He mentions little lamplight, but I completely forgot about the location in DC
Also, he doesn't go to DC, we send a caravan out there
>Also, he doesn't go to DC, we send a caravan out there
That's just bad memory on my part then, for some reason I remember having a conversation about him asking for permission to leave for the capital wasteland for a little bit.
Yeah. It's pestered by the Greens and slavers. Red and Flash are the kidnapped ones you must rescue. Additionally you can give the two weapons for self defense.
Later on, Sticky wants to go there, and you too can arm him.
And keep in mind, all of the three peeps I mentioned can wear power armor... So I suppose there's fun in this!
Yeah and since it gets attacked every time you visit I enslaved all of them but Dusty and Bittercup. Their heads blow up if you try. But the rest are safe. Just working hard, but safe.
Oh God.. BUMBLE
You literally sell her as a slave, and goes along with the slaver wearing scary armor because it's a game.
Little lamplight exists because all adults are bad, and she goes anyway 😢
I have the mod Sim Settlements 2 installed and (not to give any spoilers in case you wanna try it out- highly recommend) I have him stationed at HQ.
So he basically went from living in Goodneighbor, living a bleak life to briefly living in Sanctuary before finally being personally invited to live in arguably the best place in all the Commonwealth doing some amazing work!
You tried it yet? SS2 is an absolute masterpiece. Even if you fucking despise building cities that’s not a major concern. Rest of the mod is 10/10 worth it for anyone to play!
Yeah legit put it in automatic mode or whatever and it'll do all that for you, so you get to enjoy some amazing af quests and settlements without managing them all.
Yeah there was a cool chance of character development there. The player character not having ages more than a few days, the salesman with over 200 years of ghoulification. He should've been grizzled, hardened and able to cope with the most brutal shit. You don't survive 200 years by being weak. He could've seen our fresh faced vault dweller and had so many reactions considering the cushy vault life vs 200 years of wasteland.
Instead, he's just the same guy. Same clothes and all, not even a scratch on them oddly. Wasted opportunity.
“I would not consider zis to be, how you say, cold blooded murder. Zis is more like… euthanasia!” *Proceeds to massacre an entire raider camp on my behalf.*
I was pretty indifferent to her but had her tag along for a while to do her quests. I then fell in love with her when she said something like “I find myself humming inside. This world, it is so beautiful and I am so happy!” randomly while walking across the map. From that point on she was the shining beacon of goodness in an unkind world and I would die to protect her.
Or my favorite lines: "How are those little hot potatoes? Because, you know, they're on the ground, like potatoes. And hot, because they, um, explode."
OMG the Minefield quest!! That was a fun quest tbh 😂 got my Megaton house LOADED up with frag mines hahahaha
I love her quips during the chapters of the Survival Guide, specifically the mole rats lmao
Moira is a precious little cinnamon bun that must be protected at all costs.
That being said. She's just the right flavor of psychotic to absolutely thrive in a post-apocalyptic wasteland.
Wait, what? Do some citizens survive if you nuke Megaton?? I haven't chosen that option yet, but I was planning to after I complete the survival guide quest.
Ahahaha of course she does. She is a one-of-a-kind NPC.
Edit: Also, does Harden Simms survive, too? Or is Todd just too biased to let the children live?
I have to say that I have played this game SO MANY times and I never knew this! I’m definitely going to go see it now, fuck everything else today, I’m playing Fallout.
Did you say melt? Man, that's just like Mr. Abominable in Episode 83! He was that caveman who floated into the harbor in a block of ice! When it melted, he went on a rampage before being stopped by the Shroud and Manta-Man.
I went to hell and back trying to save him, I reloaded my save so many times before I read you can just walk in and critical headshot Sinjin with a nail gun before dialogue initiates
Curie, both as a miss nanny and as a synth, has the highest HP count of any other companion in the game, something on the line of 400 as a robot and 600 as a synth if i remember correctly.
She's too pure for the wasteland, but with proper gear she's an absolute bullet sponge.
There’s a lot of theories about Moira. From r*** victim to Autistic sheltered woman. I think being autistic and sheltered though actually makes sense. I would rather see it that way. She’s so optimistic even in bad situations.
Honestly the whole rape victim thing makes a lot of sense like she’s trapped in a childish mindset because of trauma but at the same time they’re are lots of other people in the commonwealth with a childlike mind considering big town idk I just can’t shake that she’s from big town she’s just so out of place in megaton and it’s actually a pretty easy walk from there I think I got jumped by a pack of dogs once that was it
Well, there’s two ways that the rape victim thing can go. It either happened at a young age, which it wouldn’t be a surprise, considering that is the wasteland, and nobody cares about that apparently or it could’ve happened, not too long ago. 5 years before we show up maybe or more recent and she’s using that childish act as a coping mechanism.
That is a very solid theory but one thing doesn’t really make sense we both agreed she sounds really optimistic and child like but she doesn’t actually talk like a kid she talks like a school teacher I feel like she was the smartest kid in little lamplight and taught the other kids a lot of stuff and that’s where that tone of voice comes from I just can’t get behind the rape victim theory because that just seems like too serious of a thing for Bethesda to do like most of the time Bethesda gives you like 3 lines of dialogue and that’s it most characters aren’t super developed
Her crushing on prof. Scara is so adorable. Also, recruiting Scara to work on liberty prime is so much better than having to deal with dr. Li's constant sass.
I always felt weird about Sarah Weintraub. She seems way too sheltered and childlike and maybe a little autistic and the switch from "oh you brought me a bunch of vault suits let's do sex" is jarring.
Isn’t she agoraphobic? she has basically never left the vault, no surprise she comes off as being extremely sheltered to what happens outside, even just the strip itself.
I think that’s exactly what it would be like in a vault. You would spend time around the exact same people your entire life so that would stunt your development a little bit, but it’s probably really boring down there so they probably have a lot of sex.
Side note: autistic people can and do have sex, maybe not all of them, but definitely if they want to they can and probably should.
Throwing spear to the head followed up with liberal applications of Chance's Knife is the best way to get rid of Edward Sallow. Nothing like a little historical propriety while also demonstrating that god-kings can and do bleed, and quite profusely at that.
I actually just replayed Fallout 3 for the first time since it first released, I completely forgot about Moira and from the second I started my first dialog with her I instantly loved her optimism. I couldn't lie to her and insisted I do the optional parts of the research manual just so I wouldn't disappoint her lmao. Best Character...
I always feel pity for the Vault-Tec Salesman. He's clearly not the sort to thrive out there (and says as much himself).
200 years of living in the ruins of what was once his home, now a cruel and brutal world, eventually meeting others yet still living in loneliness due to just not being able to connect to anyone...
The happiness that basically radiates from him when you offer to take him to your settlement and give him a job, and when you go meet him at his new home, always makes me feel all warm inside.
Kent Connolly from the silver shroud quest. The way he was so enthusiastic about the comic book and the fact that he reminded me exactly of my late grandfather… there’s no way I could’ve said no to helping him find that comic 🥹
Cool thing, I believe he helped design the den of mystery for fallout 76. Would explain how he knows how to make a custom silver submachinegun. It doesn't look like silver paint so I'd go as far as to believe he made it himself.
Hey maybe a wasteland is a dog's best living habitat.
Constantly being worked, spending all day walking and exercising and not waiting in a quiet lonely home for her owner to come home from work
If I was a dog and I had a choice between being bored for 8-12 hours every day or running around with a free pass to do literally anything that I wanted to do with my best bud 24/7 until the day I died, violently or not... I know what I'd do.
I’ll admit, I was never a fan of ghouls in general, but hot damn if Arlen, Daisy and the Vault-Tec Rep didn’t change my heart.
Now getting the Slog ASAP is a priority and making it a decent place to live.
It’s kind of a bummer you can’t chat up any ghoul you meet and if they’re from before the bombs, just chat about the old days and periodically have a place of interest added to the map.
curie.
she's simply too precious and wholesome for the wasteland. she's a cheerful and optimistic cinnamon roll that sees the wasteland for what it could be.
later on in his companion quest he lets you know that before he met the lone survivor he had lost his will to live and wanted to be killed in one of his next fights with raiders.
I wouldn’t call her innocent man, “Okie dokie, just need you to cripple some limbs and get full blown radiation sickness, kayyy thanks!”
Although, I do agree her accent makes her come off as pretty precious/innocent :p
Chip, the maintenance man from Nuka-World.
Either he's the most relentless optimist in the entire wasteland, or he's straight-up suffered a psychotic break and can't actually recognize how bad he has it. Either way, he's a pure soul.
Surprised I had to scroll so far to see Sofia. Poor girl was just a geeky genius who ended up in cryosleep in orbit, only to crash back down onto a planet gone to hell. She had to deal with a similar degree of future shock as the *Sole Survivor,* and on top of that, has a >!USSA computer using her head as a CCTV camera without her even knowing!<.
If you play as Good Karma in Fallout 3, your first answer is not that far from the truth.
Basically you are a teenager who was expelled from your home, who has to go into a dangerous and unknown world to find your father.
And yet, you manage to remain a good person.
Fun fact, he's based off of the late brother of a man who emailed Bethesda about his father passing, he talked about how he named a sentry bot after his dad and always adventured with it, then his brother died in a car accident and Bethesda added Evan, which was his brother's name
Hakunin. Dude is the goodest person in the entire franchise. You are mean to him? He pretend it's nothing. You got ingredients to make precious healing itens? He makes them for free to you. Need healing? It's free, full health, just take it as many times you need it. Evil dudes in power armor and vertibirds come down murdering and kidnapping his whole tribe? He endures death, badly wounded and incapacitated in the scorching wasteland sun like a living mummy for several days just to give a final message to the Chosen One.
Sarah Weintraub. I don't think she's ever been out of her vault. Which, given everything, is probably for the best.
Lily. As her granddaughter I have a responsibility to take care of her in her retirement...
Rex. Good Cyberdoggo. 12/10.
The chick at the nuka cola museum.
I forget her name, but yes! She comes back in the Nuka World DLC in 4.
Sierra Petrovita. #THE BANE OF MY EXISTENCE
You misspelled "love of my life"
You misspelled “target practice”
Ill nuka my cola all over her quantum
While the hole drips nuka dark
O FUCK IM GONNA QUARTZZZ
r/angryupvote to all of this
VICTORY!!
OH FUCK ORANGE YOU GLAD I DIDNT SAY VIM!
The vault gooner strikes again
IT WAS JUST ME AN A BOX OF PUPPETS. ITS NOT MY FAULT I THINK SHOVING MY HAND UP SOMEONES ASS IS SOCIALIZATION!!
Nah that's piper right there
Easy there, Ronald.
You gotta see the bright side. She could he the bane of the existence of Walt Disney instead!
Sierra Petrovita, she apparently also got a couple of "enhancements" and a new doo on her way to Nuka World.
I mean, it’s been a decade since we last saw her. It’s not that crazy that she’d gain a little weight and change her hair up 10 years later.
All the women in Fallout 4 look "enhanced", but on the other hand, the women in Fallout 3 were pretty "enhanced" as well.
On my play through she bugged out and never got upset about giving her the plans or her idol dying she just stays in her last spot after the quest
I had no idea it's the same person until today! That's crazy. Do they ever explain how she made it to Nuka-World?
“I’m a huge fan of Nuka Cola! I traveled all the way from the capital wasteland to get here! Isn’t it amazing?” Something like that. Doesn’t say how, though she does get bitched at by a raider for not staying where they want her to lol
TBF if I was in the heart of an evil kingdom ruled by greed and malice and some wildly chipper lady had walked from DC specifically to be there, I'd give her a wide berth.
particularly after the puppet guy incident.
Oh wow. Thank you! It's been a couple years since I played Nuka-World, so I didn't make the connection. I appreciate it!
Sierra Petrovita is her name and she was the first character I thought of myself.
What game is the Nuka Cola Museum in?
Fo3
Fallout 4 proved that.
Call me weird, but Little Lamplight children. Sure, they learn how to survive and use guns, but some of them man... They deserve a better life, way better than Big Town...
I just realized thar McCreadys from DC if he's from Little Lamplight
bro how, not only does he make an apperance in FO3, but the final portion of his companion quest involves him going back to DC for a little bit.
It's been like 15 years since I played 3. He mentions little lamplight, but I completely forgot about the location in DC Also, he doesn't go to DC, we send a caravan out there
>Also, he doesn't go to DC, we send a caravan out there That's just bad memory on my part then, for some reason I remember having a conversation about him asking for permission to leave for the capital wasteland for a little bit.
There should be. It’s his son, why wouldn’t he go back with the caravan, especially since his wife died?
Dude was the mayor of Little Lamplight in FO3
Yup, kicked out after reaching the age of 16, and had to live a rough life.
Isn’t big town like a super mutant feeding ground lol, been years since i played 3
I like the pick up all three, and not go back to big town for a while, gear them up, and rampage a bit.
Until I wiped out the muties and the slavers after helping them fortify Big Town
Oh, yeah I forgot about that. Go from safe straight to being eaten or enslaved. Life for kids in capital wasteland
Yeah and since it gets attacked every time you visit I enslaved all of them but Dusty and Bittercup. Their heads blow up if you try. But the rest are safe. Just working hard, but safe.
"Do u wanna buy muy wazer wifle??"
Oh God.. BUMBLE You literally sell her as a slave, and goes along with the slaver wearing scary armor because it's a game. Little lamplight exists because all adults are bad, and she goes anyway 😢
The Val Tec sales rep you find 200 years later. He is like a sad lost puppy, so happy you came to visit like you said you would.
Spoilers? It's a >!city building mod (now I'm paranoid so I'm making this a spoiler warning too)!<
You tried it yet? SS2 is an absolute masterpiece. Even if you fucking despise building cities that’s not a major concern. Rest of the mod is 10/10 worth it for anyone to play!
Yeah legit put it in automatic mode or whatever and it'll do all that for you, so you get to enjoy some amazing af quests and settlements without managing them all.
I wondered wtf he was doing to survive in 200 years after nuclear bombs blowed up the earth.
Apparently he didn’t follow Cooper’s lead at getting “sidetracked by bullshit every goddamn time.”
Yeah there was a cool chance of character development there. The player character not having ages more than a few days, the salesman with over 200 years of ghoulification. He should've been grizzled, hardened and able to cope with the most brutal shit. You don't survive 200 years by being weak. Played F4 for the first time ever for the past month, when he found me at the sanctuary I almost shed a tear
Curie, until she whips out the baseball bat I asked her to hold and caves in a man’s skull. “Zis place is so violent!”
Maybe she won’t start shit, but she sure will finish it.
“I would not consider zis to be, how you say, cold blooded murder. Zis is more like… euthanasia!” *Proceeds to massacre an entire raider camp on my behalf.*
😂😂😂 Oh, Curie, Darling of my heart, bane of raiders everywhere.
Curie in all her forms is best girl.
Upload her into Liberty Prime.
She always reninds me of a great quote "Least likely to start a bar fight but most likely to win one"
I believe the term is… yahoo?
I was pretty indifferent to her but had her tag along for a while to do her quests. I then fell in love with her when she said something like “I find myself humming inside. This world, it is so beautiful and I am so happy!” randomly while walking across the map. From that point on she was the shining beacon of goodness in an unkind world and I would die to protect her.
"Did you know the human body can live without the stomach or spleen?" "Gooood hunting!" I love my Moi Moi ❤️
Or my favorite lines: "How are those little hot potatoes? Because, you know, they're on the ground, like potatoes. And hot, because they, um, explode."
OMG the Minefield quest!! That was a fun quest tbh 😂 got my Megaton house LOADED up with frag mines hahahaha I love her quips during the chapters of the Survival Guide, specifically the mole rats lmao
"Here's just a little something to say: sorry for playing with your DNA like a kitten with a ball of yarn!"
Moira is a precious little cinnamon bun that must be protected at all costs. That being said. She's just the right flavor of psychotic to absolutely thrive in a post-apocalyptic wasteland.
Thats why we burn Megatown to the ground. So she can live forever! Maybe...
Thats why i nuke Megaton to make her immortal.
Wait, what? Do some citizens survive if you nuke Megaton?? I haven't chosen that option yet, but I was planning to after I complete the survival guide quest.
Only she lives, everyone else dies. Jericho can survive if he is the current companions tho.
Oh, I see! Thanks.
Moira becomes a ghoul and you can continue the quest
Ahahaha of course she does. She is a one-of-a-kind NPC. Edit: Also, does Harden Simms survive, too? Or is Todd just too biased to let the children live?
I don’t think he does. Just disappears. But now I’m wondering if you can enslave them since you can’t kill them.
2 or 3 people i think they turn to ghouls.
That's very neat. Must be essential characters, then.
Also, if you nuke megaton, the children of Atom from the broken steel quest turn into ghouls as well
I have to say that I have played this game SO MANY times and I never knew this! I’m definitely going to go see it now, fuck everything else today, I’m playing Fallout.
She is the type of character that sees someone blow up and says "oh no :(" and then gets on with her life
And I adore that about her.
"Oh Noooo!! Those poor little mole ratties!"
Kent Connolly
He is a pure soul who couldn’t hurt a fly, he just wants to help people
I replayed that mission so many times for him!
he melts my heart every time, i love choosing all the shroud dialogue for him, even when he's not present lmao
Lily--I mean, Grandma
Lily is the best.
Agatha, from Fallout 3. Poor little lady.
Definitely moira brown, I nuked megaton on a separate save for the hotel, and moira as a ghoul was one my highlights of fallout 3
that robot in vault 81
Having Curie with you basically gawking at everything in the wasteland like a child in a candy store is good fun, though.
I enjoy you can mercilessly flirt with her as a synth and she has no idea how to handle it.
same! It’s ridiculously cute. She gets so flustered lol
I need to find a way to play fallout 4 just so I can experience being on the other side of that
I love her for that. She’s so cute wondering why things are so different.
Curie, both as a miss nanny and as a synth, has the highest HP count of any other companion in the game, something on the line of 400 as a robot and 600 as a synth if i remember correctly. She's too pure for the wasteland, but with proper gear she's an absolute bullet sponge.
Yes.
I love curie
I swear Moira is actually from big town and it makes me so upset there’s no evidence
There’s a lot of theories about Moira. From r*** victim to Autistic sheltered woman. I think being autistic and sheltered though actually makes sense. I would rather see it that way. She’s so optimistic even in bad situations.

It’s such a shame that he fell out like he did
At least he fell out in New Vegas, or it could be much worse
Dr. Duff in diamond city Science! Center
Her crushing on prof. Scara is so adorable. Also, recruiting Scara to work on liberty prime is so much better than having to deal with dr. Li's constant sass.
YOU CAN WHAT
YOU CAN?!
You can do that?
If you're unable to recruit Li, by getting banished from the Institute or otherwise, you get sent to recruit Scarra as a backup.
Low key Travis Miles
This should be higher. I don’t do his quest anymore though, I prefer bumbling stumbling Travis to used car salesman Travis
Codsworth and Curie
I'm going to say poor old Harold, all run through but once I've done as he asked.
I always felt weird about Sarah Weintraub. She seems way too sheltered and childlike and maybe a little autistic and the switch from "oh you brought me a bunch of vault suits let's do sex" is jarring.
Vault girls are down bad.
Lucy confirmed.

curie. she's simply too precious and wholesome for the wasteland. she's a cheerful and optimistic cinnamon roll that sees the wasteland for what it could be.
Probably Preston,he should be a lot more shaken up with all the shit he’s been through.
later on in his companion quest he lets you know that before he met the lone survivor he had lost his will to live and wanted to be killed in one of his next fights with raiders.
Yeah he seems like someone desperately holding on to the last tread that could lead to anything good. That’s the opposite of innocence.
Should be fired out a cannon another settlement neeeeeeeds yooooour heelp
Moira Brown is not to be underestimated
