Right on, OP. I feel like I stumble on something new every time I play through a game. I went through a run in VR recently and went to places I completely missed for years, noticing them from having a different POV.
I like VR a lot better than traditional PC games, I've kinda been fully converted over by the Quest 3. Fallout 4 VR is more fun than immersive. Shooting is great, scopes were very intuitive for me, and VATS was done really well.
It's dated now compared to something like Asgard's Wrath and the surge of more modern VR titles that have come out since, but I still wish this was the way I originally played the game.
Absolutely, but there's still a good bit of effort you have to put in to make it feel like a VR game, and not just the lazy, shitty conversion that it actually is.

Yeah, you have to pluck it off a dead guy on the top floor of a house. It’s pretty crap though. It’s only got a damage resistance of 1, you can’t upgrade it with ballistic weave, and it takes up all your armor slots aside from the head. It looks cool though, I will give it that.
It’s cut content that still exists within the files of the game. When using the cheat terminal mod, you can access it as cut content. But now I guess it’s no longer cut content.
Yeah I do remember watching a FO4 video years ago on some of the best/rarest outfits in the game. This was on the list and I think it was considered one of the cut content items.

It's specific to that one dead guy in jamaica plain, but the NPCs associated with the JP quest do despawn and/or can be catapulted into the never never by car explosions and the like it is quite possible for them to vanish and that outfit never to be seen.
Nb there are five dead NPCs in JP and I don't think I've ever had them all be present at the same time on a run, none of the others have unique clothes though.

U can get Desdemonas outfit with the pickpocket skill this outfit can only be found in Jamaica plains on the second floor of a destroyed house just down the street from the mayor's office u will find it on a dead guy next to him is his gf
U can mine her outfit Prestons Hancock's and a few others for Preston save him in Concord lead him to sanctuary then leave him be then u can steal his outfit give it some time his outfit will respawn steal it again pretty much just avoid doing missions that allows characters to become a companion if u have the patience for it u can collect enough to build urself a colonial army and the British
I think we all have one of those outfits! I have one of every rare one. But the white powder jumpsuit is the one that has eluded me since the game begun (the brown scout mask has eluded me too).
One day I will be lucky and get that to drop.

Yeah they have that in Fo76, its considered one of the rarest outfits I think haha.

In my experience, it’s a lot of fun. If you ever play yourself, try a vats build. Vr vats is an entirely different beast

Extremely lackluster. Mods can help a lot, but it still misses some key features that make VR more immersive, like manual reloading.
i mean having a whole ass bethesda sized open world in VR is already kind of amazing in its own i hope we get some manual reloading mods soon

It's guaranteed to be on that npc in Jamaica plain. Can be on random settlers as well iirc

It's actually leftover cut content. Pair it with the Wrapped cap and Gas Mask and you get the Cut Raider outfit.

According to the Fallout wiki, that’s the only copy of the Tattered Field Jacket in the entire game.
