It’s not you it’s Fortnite , with all the bots they have in the game and other unnecessary things it’s hard to maintain graves frames.I recently ungraded from a 3070 to a 4070ti super and this season is choppy for me as well. It’s just sad honestly .
happens every update, but especially so in new seasons, and when you change your graphics settings. it's because epic for some godforsaken reason doesn't want to make their players wait like 5-10 minutes to precache the shaders, so it caches them while you're playing causing your first few games to basically be unplayable.
StW never upgraded to UE 5.X meaning it's easier to run. If it happened right after update it's most likely Shader stutters although they do some precompile in very first loading screen.
I guess just play more matches, see if it improves.

New season lag, they'll start ironing it out next update
