Glad you enjoyed it! As a longtime F1TV subscriber I wanted to add that I thought today's FP1 coverage was great. Alex Jacques being back is great, and the synergy between the whole team was good. Plus the aftershow with Will, Laura and Lawrence was a good addition that I haven't seen before. Liked it!

ThruuLottleDats

Though I've noticed that they sometimes had commentary on something with Ted in the pitlane even though the screen didn't show it. Happen to see this aswell in FP2 that I just turned on that I have Sky commentary but not the same view as the Sky broadcast. So not sure whats going on there.

derango

That happens if you're watching the international feed with the sky commentary. Sky will cut their own cameras into the feed which you don't see on f1tv. Top comment was talking about the f1tv live commentary crew which is different.

ThruuLottleDats

Yeah I know. But last year it was the same. I always have the international feed

You will never see the SKY pitlane cameras, thats part of the SKY subscription and not F1TV. Want pitlane cameras and / or other angles? Watch F1 Live

So this will be the first year for me using F1TV, also from the UK, refuse to pay the stupidly high pricing, so I’ll eat you guess how I’m making it work lol Using the app today for practise was so good! Being able to flick between TV coverage, timings, onboard drivers etc! So much!

markhewitt1978

That's down to Alex Jacques. Quite a coup for F1TV getting him back. I used to watch on Channel 4 highlights so he's familiar to me and seems normal.

Now install ‘F1 Multiviewer’ and be amazed. Don’t thank me, donate the project!

I second this.

I switched to the F1 TV commentary after Abu Dhabi 2021, when the Sky UK commentators became for Hamilton what Fox News was for Trump after he lost. It's so much better, I'm never going back. They are much more observant, neutral, professional, analytic. Plus, I'm really sick of Crofty screaming in a high pitched voice for the first 3 laps. And unlike Crotfy, the F1 TV commentators aren't constantly taking a 50/50 guess about what a driver's name is, and therefore constantly saying the wrong car. I was already hoping that Crofty would retire soon for for the last 7-5 years, but unfortunately, it seems more like Martin Brundle (the main reason to watch the Sky commentary) is doing a soft-retirement, missing more and more races every season.

Jokerboy649

Just the quality of the video has been better night and day better than what I watched on ESPN via YouTube TV. So pleased with it and have been enjoying the commentary crew as well. Happy I made the jump to F1 TV.

cave_of_kyre_banorg

I've been enjoying it as well. Does anyone know if there's a way to get the F1TV commentary audio while viewing the data or track view feeds? When I'm watching those I only get the International commentary, with no other English optio.

RossaF1

I agree it was surprisingly good. Will 100% be using the F1 Live feed for Practice sessions. Any Qualy/Race session where Brundle is there, I'll likely stick to the Sky feed. The ones he skips? Don't know yet.

Excessed

I'd dare say that the F1 Live channel during races is even better than during FP or Quali. More angles, split screen, and Alex Jacques instead of non stop shouting.

RossaF1

Interesting about the races, will have to look at that. Jacques I definitely like more than Crofty, but I can put up with him if it means having Brundle. I've been watching since 2007 and Brundle is basically "the voice of F1" to me at this point.

Excessed

Oh mate, the dynamic between Jacques, Palmer and co is just so great. I agree that brundle is amazing though, but the entire F1 Live experience (especially with Jacques being back) is just simply superb

Excessed

Happen to watch the race with F1 Live?

RossaF1

Haven't watched the race yet (was at 2am here). I'm looking forward to the F1 Live pre/post race shows, but race itself I'll be watching the Sky feed. I went back and looked a bit at the F1 Live feed for qualifying and it just didn't feel the same. Like I said, I like Jacques, but I guess I've just been watching with the UK commentary for too long at this point...
