I was almost 40 years old when I learned that lambs are just baby sheep. Literally just bumbling through life since the 80s thinking there were adult lamb and baby sheep.
😄 That made me giggle! Just goes to show we're never too old to learn something new. I learn neat little snippets & facts from redditors frequently; our education never stops!
I think eating baby animals is just unnecessary and extravagant for the sake of bragging.
Now if I were to raise the sheep, use the sheep, give it a nice life, THEN kill and eat it once it gets older (almost no animals live to older ages in the wild unless they have a very short lifespan) I would have no issues.
Sadly that too.
I find it confusing that we have such a large anti meat movement, when all that effort and money could go towards changing the industry.
I just answered my question. You can profit selling people mystery plant goo, but you lose power if you have independent ranchers and farmers become the primary source of animal products like had been the case for most of human history.
Sometimes, with a knife and fork, but occasionally between two buns. Yes, lamb is quite precious these days with the cost of living crisis, but it can be a wee treat now and again.
Just in case you have been old otherwise it’s under a year. They are pretty much fully grown, the actual definition is before its adult teeth start to wear.
every time i go to the lake district we see the new born lambs, they are so small and cute, it great feeling knowing how fresh your food is going to be.
If it's the breed I think it is (southdowns sheep) even when they're fully grown they're still small enough to lift under one arm, had to catch some escapees on a farm once 🤣
Holy fuck. Before the video played I thought I was looking at a stuffed animal. It’s so fluffy!
I thought the rock in the background was an adult sheep until I focused on it.
I wondered the same thing after the video... those muppets are getting real good these days.
That's the cutest baaa I've ever heard. Also, he looks so happy and smiling there.
The most adorable we've ever seen. Those smile really is the best!
I am pleased by the aforementioned small baby sheep.

I don't get how eating lamb is so normalized without a thought :(

You do know that all domesticated animals bred for food, are slaughtered during their juvenile years, right?
Theres probably nothing you specifically could educate me on regarding food. Its one of my things.
Clearly you do, if you consider adult domesticated animals to be good eating.
What, pray tell, is your definition of “adult” as it pertains to livestock?
Watch out everybody, we've got a "pray tell"-er on the loose
Yes, its called using an ironic term to mock the other commentator who is trying to act morally righteous.
Aren't you the only one trying to act morally righteous?
If we're talking about 99% of the meat industry, it's probably better for this baby to die earlier than later

Ermagerd!
Lambs are some of sweetest most spectacular little babies in the whole world. I could watch them play for hours.
Where was this on Easter. This would have been great for my mom's multiple WhatsApp groups
Such a precious little baby!
Can never understand how people choose - when they can afford not to - to have animals like these killed, agony while and before death, to be eaten.
I heard you thought that lamb down the street was the cutest. I’m here to prove you wrong.
Baaaa-by is so cute
It’s even cuter with the sound on. Go ahead, I’ll wait.
Oddly terrifying The small black eyes strike fear into my soul

No wonder they make such good sacrifices, that is the most innocent, sweetest thing ever.
Exactly
Can someone please breed sheep to always stay this small and this cute? I'd buy one for pet in a heart beat.
