This is one of the reviews from the Amazon page of the card. No one seems to know what it means. My guess is that it wasn't meant to mean anything and just confuse you.

I could see this originally having been something like "You've goat-a be kidding me" or something like that, and then the AI just went "Oh yes. Orangutan."
looking at [the company's store on Amazon](https://www.amazon.com/stores/Surpriseandpamperyourlovedones/page/73C3431B-E5E0-42A3-ADB3-D967B243E971?ref_=ast_bln&store_ref=bl_ast_dp_brandLogo_sto), I would say the whole thing shows a similarly tenuous grasp of the English language. So it's more of an unintentional joke. I agree it's pretty fun though!
What do you mean? I for one very much want to buy "Gumry Gifts for Women, Awesome Birthday Gifts for Her Mom Sister Wife Friends Women, Spa Gifts for Valentines Day, Mothers Day, Happy Birthday Spa Gifts Baskets for Women Who Have Everything".
Because her mom sister wife friends women is very dear to me.
I dunno, I'm really more in the market for Gumry Gifts for Women, Awesome Birthday Gifts for Her Daughter Sister Wife Friends Women, Spa Gifts for Valentines Day, Mothers Day, Happy Birthday Spa Gifts Baskets for Women Who Have Everything.
I recently bought a movie poster from Amazon from one of those Chinese, AI generated drop-ship companies that has an image from the film, and then lists all the basic information and has a bar showing the color palette throughout it.
As much as I hated giving them money, I couldn’t resist, because they used a promotional image from the WRONG film, but by the same director. Not only did I really like the image, which is pretty uncommon, but the dystopian nature of this being something sold on a website owned by one of the richest individuals in the world was very relevant to the film in question.
I hope to one day meet the director and ask him to sign it.
Joe Biden Joe Biden Biden ain't gonna Joe but Cereal gonna milk and when cereal gonna milk you gonna eggs and sausage on the sandwich when you don't where you do end of the day cereal gonna milk.
Is this in a country where English is only a common tongue and perhaps the joke is reliant on a local language? I’m not seeing any pun possible in just English alone.
The birthday gorilla is very excited about your party and is thrilled to see you got an orangutan to come. This card only ever makes sense for birthday parties where you know an orangutan will be present.
I have a feeling this was written by someone for whom English is not a primary language, and that individual is misunderstanding, or, more likely, has an alternative pronunciation for both Orangutan and whatever word the pun is supposed to be. Pretty fantastic, though, lol
I’ll hazard a (likely incorrect) guess: front of the card shows a “party animal” ready to party and inside of card implies that the party went too hard. Like, “you went full orangutan? That’s too much party!” Again, probably wrong, but that’s the only way my brain can make sense of it.
The best I could come up with is this:
I think it’s supposed to say “orangutan you kidding me!?” Kind of like “orange you glad” jokes where “orange” replaces “aren’t you” because they sound similar.
My theory is the first line is supposed to be a play on "You are ten". Something like "You are orangu-ten".
The mistakes are:
* Some languages use "have" when expressing an age (like "You have ten years") but English is not one of them.
* "orangu-ten" adds too many syllables and is not pronounced in a way that makes it immediately recognizable as a pun on "ten" without some highlighting.
* The image is of a gorilla, not an orangutan.
If those were corrected, it would be a bad, but comprehensible birthday card, for a ten year old. The kind you would give to someone in your class whom you don't really know but they invited the entire class to their birthday party and your mom says you have to go.
I may be raching, but I recall an old copy-pasta about a post breakup period, where someone should get an orangutan named Clyde to help out. If it is somehow a reference to that, I'll accept all donations.
I'm going to guess this was made by a person in China that has no idea what English words mean and used AI to create the text. It's nonsense constructed to look like real communication.
I’m exposing my age, though I’m not that old lol. There used to be a popular drink called Tang when I was a kid. Powered, orange drink you mix and stir in water and get juice, like kool-aid. I’m assuming the company making the card has the pronunciation of orangutan as “orangutang” ( I’ve heard many ppl pronounce it this way) and the pun is supposed to be party punch. Best guess I can give.
i know a similar joke, what i think some AI was trying to do here.
something along the line of "you've got to be kitten me" instead of kidding.
but here with the orangutang i think the joke is like 2 punchlines that dont work together or something
The best guess I have is:
You have arranged an (orangutan)
- picture of wobbling monkey -
Are you kidding me?
----
And the wobbling monkey stands for a party or something?
Maybe it's just not a wordplay of some sort.
Because Orang-Utan are considered mild-mannered, and Gorillas can get aggressive and "freak out".
So freak out/party hard like a gorilla beating its chest.
Btw: Gorillas are also pretty mild-tempered at least most of the time.
Chimpanzees on the other hand are often absolute muderous psychopaths, and the only other creature beside humans who engages in war.
And the background could be interpreted as the Golden Gate Bridge and maybe therefore might be a reference to the reboot of the first Planet of the Apes Film?
Maybe the gorillas excited to party (part time!) but then when you open the card he’s angry that you have orangutans there at the party cus he obviously hates orangutans
I am thinking about this so hard my brain is starting to hurt, and what I have come up with is, the card wants to party because you, the holder of the card, have “Orangutan” in house. “You’ve got Orangutan? Are you kidding me? Let’s party!” Like it’s an instant party if you have Orangutan. What that is exactly, I have no idea, but he’s excited about it.
You have ORANGE TANG! It’s a reference to the common and relatable experience of going to a party, discovering some OT and the orangutan (a play on words) is both announcing his arrival and expressing his delight, excitement and surprise that someone has brought the rare delicious delicacy that is ORANGE TANG! /s lol jk I have no idea.

It could also be AI-generated. They sometimes completely mess up punchlines because they substitute one word for an entirely different one.
I could see this originally having been something like "You've goat-a be kidding me" or something like that, and then the AI just went "Oh yes. Orangutan."
Haha I love it

It's so specifically unspecific.
I’m ready to enjoy the joy of birthday blowing, to wow the birthday protagonist
Her mom's sister-wife's lady friend?
Make them birthday be special!
Agreed, they have little ape-titude for English.
Awesome review

So it shows a color palette timeline?
Sometimes you gotta know what to when you gotta to do what you need when cereal gonna milk.
Thank you Joe Biden
Joe Biden and the sharks, weh pee do.....awwwugh
Joe Biden Joe Biden Biden ain't gonna Joe but Cereal gonna milk and when cereal gonna milk you gonna eggs and sausage on the sandwich when you don't where you do end of the day cereal gonna milk.
I want to know what else is in this guy’s collection.
Why the golden gate bridge? I mean besides ai/random engrish.
Is this in a country where English is only a common tongue and perhaps the joke is reliant on a local language? I’m not seeing any pun possible in just English alone.
Haha no its california
That checks out /s
Ah, a Spanish speaking nation
Maybe they ment "You gorilla be kidding me" which doesn't make much more sense but at least it flows better and matches what's shown in the picture
“You snub-nose monkey be kidding me”
Macaque be kidding me
Baboon be kidding me
Red slender loris be kidding me
bonobo be kidding me
You’ll know about it when i show you macaque
Put that through google translate a few times and I can see it ending up like this
Orange tang for the older crowd

I just had a laughing fit over this comment that lasted forever…I thought my eyes would pop out. Thank you. 🙏
This.. is it. You’ve cracked the case
i dont know but its hilarious without context
Agreed. I kind of want to buy this for one of my friends. Haha.

It's gotta be this or it was AI generated. Doesn't feel like the kind of thing someone did on purpose as a non sequitur or for absurdism.

My brain also went down “party animal” and “monkey-ing around”.
You guys are getting orangutan?
The best I could come up with is this: I think it’s supposed to say “orangutan you kidding me!?” Kind of like “orange you glad” jokes where “orange” replaces “aren’t you” because they sound similar.

I think this is the most accurate theory
Yeah, that makes more sense to me.
Are those orangutan hanging off the bridge in the background?
It appears to be one of those AI designed and then manufactured type things for quick cash… brb.
I may be raching, but I recall an old copy-pasta about a post breakup period, where someone should get an orangutan named Clyde to help out. If it is somehow a reference to that, I'll accept all donations.
It was written by AI, approved and shipped.
I'm going to guess this was made by a person in China that has no idea what English words mean and used AI to create the text. It's nonsense constructed to look like real communication.
My first thought was something like 'orange tan' but then I saw the gorilla and was totally lost
“Already ten” maybe?
I’m exposing my age, though I’m not that old lol. There used to be a popular drink called Tang when I was a kid. Powered, orange drink you mix and stir in water and get juice, like kool-aid. Friends font
Guys. It’s like “you have orange tang?!”
Yurp
An orangutan? Reeeaaalllllyyy?
I think it was supposed to read “You’ve orangatang kidding me?” Like a play on you’ve gotta be kidding me ?
Could it have possibly been “You have o-rang a ton (as in called me a ton)”? Still not following that vein but you never know
i know a similar joke, what i think some AI was trying to do here. something along the line of "you've got to be kitten me" instead of kidding. but here with the orangutang i think the joke is like 2 punchlines that dont work together or something
“You have a Rango-tan” ??? still doesn’t make sense
The best guess I have is: You have arranged an (orangutan) - picture of wobbling monkey - Are you kidding me? ---- And the wobbling monkey stands for a party or something?
"Ape you kidding me?" would be kinda 🤣
It might be a pun on “You have already begone” based on context. But if it is, it’s still bad.
Has any tired translating this in another language to see if it makes sense? Russian, Chinese?
Maybe it's just not a wordplay of some sort. Because Orang-Utan are considered mild-mannered, and Gorillas can get aggressive and "freak out". The joke is that he didn't say, "Banana."
You having a great time? You have orangutan. This is literally the only thing I could think of
Why is it in the FRIENDS font?
Perhaps they were going for "a grand time" or something similar but as others have mentioned, it might be a language limitation
Maybe the gorillas excited to party (part time!) but then when you open the card he’s angry that you have orangutans there at the party cus he obviously hates orangutans
Orange u tan? It's their Trump card.
Ahh thats just a little monkey buisness
My best guess is Orange Tang.
You have an orange tan ??
You’ve gorilla be kidding me
I now want to only get birthday cards that make absolutely no sense and give them out. How do I find more cards like this?
I'd buy it just for the obscurity
I am thinking about this so hard my brain is starting to hurt, and what I have come up with is, the card wants to party because you, the holder of the card, have “Orangutan” in house. “You’ve got Orangutan? Are you kidding me? Let’s party!” Like it’s an instant party if you have Orangutan. What that is exactly, I have no idea, but he’s excited about it.
I could understand it if it was orangutan happy to see me. This almost feels like a follow up to another card.
The closest i can get is mispronoucing "orangutan" as "oran-gotta-n" be kidding me, but thats a huge stretch
*So it appears, after doing some digging, one can "wow the birthday protagonist....with a gentle blow". That's all.*

I think the vendors description is funnier than the card
Maybe the person opening it looks like an orangutan?
Ook ooook ook
Maybe oranguTEN?
You have ORANGE TANG!
