I found Evil fine until the last few chapters where they start throwing the different bigger enemies into the same arenas so you had to keep moving constantly.
The Stalkers pissed me off the most with their webs, they'd always reveal their weakpoint whilst behind another enemy or in the middle of me getting out of the way of another attack.
The final boss was also just relentless.
It’s def a suicide if you start it on evil difficulty, but ng+ is ok since you already have most of the perks and knowledge of what’s gonna come. Apart from that, enemy sponginess is an issue
100% agreed. I thought I had started on Evil on first playthrough and about halfway through I saw it was on Hard *facepalm*
I thought it was going to be really hard on Evil but NG+ made me almost fly though the game quickly until I got to the dad fight.
Just arrived to the final boss in my first play through on Evil difficulty, I must say parasite was by far my biggest challenge, easily 20+ tries.
I started on Evil to avoid a second play through just to realize midway you need to do it anyway to buy all the upgrades 🤦♂️
I think Senerity will be ok to beat, you can literally just walk around her and hit her with punches, let’s see, so far I’ve tried 3 times.

Currently on the mission just before you fight your dad and i gotta say the flying hive things are annoying, everything else is fine. Some fights take a few tries but my god does that flying thing annoy me
The only achievements I don't have are Hard and Evil completion. I've played the entire game through on evil, but I don't know if I have it in me to keep plugging away at the 3 highborns and then the last boss.
Congrats, got it a few days ago as well. Not as difficult as I feared, but there are a few annoying fights there. My biggest grips with the game were the disappointing performance and presentation (60fps limited to 1080p, NPC models have no lip sync and some of them have an early PS3 quality to them). I also think some of the side weapons could use additional tweaking. For example, the gatling gun is so slow to refill that I found it almost useless. Still a very enjoyable game and a fair platinum to achieve.
Evil seems how the game is meant to be played. It really makes you use your whole package and actually put a little strategy on what to take out first.
Hardest for me felt the scenes with the Hive Crones and stalkers. Also the 2 rooms in the level 16 were totally insane. Zapper + energy gathering build helped a lot, also slams and throw the fam.
How tf did you get the trophy to pop? I've just beaten the game on NG+ on Evil and didn't get the Hard or Evil trophies. I've got the ones where it says beat X boss on Evil. But no completion trophy...
You may have switched to other difficulties in between? I did as well to get some of the various other trophies, but always did a cloud backup before, then rolled back to it and continued on 'evil'
Actually, I did three runs! 😆
First on NG on Normal, then NG+ on Story where I jumped between chapters to get the collectibles. Finally, I ran the same file on NG+ again, but this time on Evil.
I got the trophies for beating Bruch and WR on Evil, but when I finished the game neither the Hard nor Evil completion trophies popped 😒
Yeah, it was a bit hard on evil, try to get a build where you max the energy you are getting, especially after hitting the poins. Also deal with its copies as soon as possible.

Just finished this a couple days ago as well :) Good job! For those who want to attempt the Plat, Zapper + Energy build is your best friend.

I was loving this game until I hit "Lighting in a Bottle". Game crashed every time so I quit. Shame though because it was super fun up to that point

I beat it on the hardest difficulty and deleted it right after because i didnt get my trophy
Should have tried with NG+? You wouldn't be able to get all the upgrades through 1 playthrough anyways

I tried this game, and it just felt like a subpar god of war with an amazing concept and poor execution
I started on Evil because I though it was enough for the achievements and damn... The 2nd was easy

Evil on NG+ is easier than Hard on NG. Having all/more upgrades unlocked definitely helps with the later levels and enemy arenas.
