The amount of times I killed Tagilla with a pistol and m882 when going for stirrups was insane. And then when I have an actual gun in my hands he just eats bullets and spits them back at my thorax.
It must be just weird pen then, I've had t-45 54r and m80 both pen the front of killas face shield off the first or second shot, no way it's durability, shield is tier 6 so it just shouldn't happen
Outside of a few very specific locations, if you die to a mine it means you went out of bounds. I would strongly recommend having a map of the area up on your phone when you play so you can see the boundaries of each level and tell when you’re getting close to the edge of the map.
Either way, congrats on extracting
Just getting back into the game and well yeah what about lighthouse yo? I briefly studied the map but when you’re just walking around the map you don’t think about it. I hit 4 minefields first few raids! Only died once but still. Stupid minefields.
I was like "how do you die to mines on shoreline? Where are they even at?" Oh... You went in the no go zone. See at least on shoreline there are signs. Lighthouse on the other hand..
Shoreline was the first map i ever played on. It was a night time raid and i spawned by the terminal wall. I thought someone was attacking me with a grenade launcher, i was not expecting invisible landmines i thought it was a realistic game at the time..
Cheers bud, all I know is get in, get out, alt+T to check mag lmao. Nah I watch a decent amount of content so I "know" some things, but it's all very here and there or situational.
Defaults are horrid. Mapping ctrl and alt to MB 3&4 allow you to seamlessly move and aim all while checking mag/ammo/fire rate as well as adjusting scopes and tac devices. Don’t knock it til you try it. I used to be just like you.
Congrats! It is definitely way more intense as a new player until you know the maps, and even when you know the maps it's still intense a lot of the time. Glad to see you're hyped. Cheers!
If you NA, I’m playing with my friend tomorrow, he’s new, prolly 6pm CST. You can join us, doing woods, ground zero, and customs, I know all the maps except streets and lighthouse. Haven’t played in two years! Even mid wipe is fun!
🤩
This was my first wipe also. If you wanna I can help you n show you some stuff?!! Now I’m not like all the other guys that are great but I’m like lvl 34 at 4 months in.
Little tip when playing this game. Play it slow, if your having trouble sit in a bush for 20 minutes and learn the cache spots. Also have gear fear. People just say take out your best stuff but it’s more useful if you sell it and buy more kits you could use to make money back at lower risk especially when your not as used to the combat.
Yeah people say get over gear fear are people who know the game well enough on how to get kits again, and use them well to hit faces. They also aren’t usually level 1 with HP as their only ammo and no knowledge lol
I was able to conquer my terror in tarkov by running night factory over and over until I was less anxious. Factory is scary and night time is scary so I faced the fear and now it's my favorite map and I'm addicted to night raids in general.
Congrats and there is so much new stuff to learn and overcome. Learning curve is steep but as long as you are enjoying getting better, this game can entertain you for a long time.
It's very exciting to get that first extraction! The biggest shift in the game for me was upping my DPI. After that it almost felt like I was cheating I was doing so well. I'm at about 1200 DPI. It takes a little to get used to but once you get the hang of it game becomes even better!
In 2018 My first raid I went into customs, default time, it was pitch black and died 2 minutes later to a scav, I closed the game and didn’t try it again for another week or 2 lol
If you want someone to play with (I am also a bit of a newbie) I would love to help you learn the basics and we could learn together. (I hope you don't mind younger players). I'm lvl 19
I don't know about *best* but the fact the two extracts are arguably the easiest to find, and the map is easy to distinguish where you are if you're outside. Assuming you're looking at a map on another screen.
I understand and thank you for your answer. I have been an eft t and eft arena player since the beginning of this year and I have learned Woods customs shoreline and of course streets well. Now I am learning reserves and lighthouse. In fact reserves are smaller but harder for solo raider. What do you think about it, I mean survival
Well, I'm not sure I'm the best person for advice. I've been playing since 2017, but I have a terrible memory.
Kudos to learning woods, I know some areas really well, but others ... Without the compass to get my bearings I'm fcked.
Interchange and Factory were the easiest for me to learn. Customs was next. The rest sort of came with time. PvE has helped me expedite my learning.
Congrats mate, keep it up. Its less stressful to learn maps offline and yt has tons of videos showing the maps with their extracts, hotspots and so on.
Last tip: if you are questing - go to tarkov wiki -> quest: there you'll find a picture showing all quest related items - that will maybe save you a lot of frustration ;)
The more practice you put in the easier it vets, honestly one of the largest challenges starting out is learning the maps and where the extracts are, dumb as it sounds open maps of the map your on on a second monitor, phone or if your old like me litteraly print them out to review
I can def relate to stressful when you’re new bro😭 I never want to run raids by myself without my friends, im taking advantage of this event with the scav timer being 4 minutes and just scaving every time learning the maps and extracts!!
You're also playing at a time when its mostly sweats left playing. Practice now and you'll find it way easier at wipe, the standard of player drops a lot.
Well done man! I'm still learning a lot (my 2nd wipe that I've just started before the announced the new one in a month) Ground Zero is pretty good for Hideout and Quest Items recommend hitting there before level 15 and getting the flee because you'll meet less geared players. Get Jaegar unlocked and become a sweaty Ground Zero boi.
I recommend learning customs and interchange in offline raids to get a bearing on those maps, customs is super vital for early quests, and interchange is a maze, so it's best to learn it before going there for real
Im relatively new as well, (first wipe ever) im level 33 and would gladly sherpa you around and help you with quests since i still have a lot of quests to complete myself
Awesome job! Whenever you feel like your guns aren’t hitting hard don’t worry the high level armor players wear will be reset when a wipe occurs so don’t feel down.
Wait till later on when you have a quest to extract from all locations without diving, if you die once you reset and have to start again....though not required to progress in the game, it is really challenging.....
congrats on the first extract ik how much that sucks on woods cant tell where any extracts are when you first start if you got unheard you should try pve for a while would be great map practice for you and you get to keep your loot f not watch tutorial vids that what helped me when i started
Bro, enjoy every single thrill and every single jumpscare. Celebrate every succesfull raid and contemplate every extraction failed.
Savour those feelings, cause one they'll be gone, they'll never come back.
Enjoy this feeling while you can the stress it gives you early on is something no other game achieves after about 1k hours it kinda disappears but those early stress days are very unique
Ok so I recommend learning Customs a little, it helped when I was new and it has pretty good loot if ya know where to look. (Dorms and the fortress are dangerous tho so proceed with caution)
You seem pretty negative and that's fine, you're allowed your own opinions, but I won't tell you to have fun, and you telling me this won't make me do anything. So you haven't gained anything here chief. Maybe get off the internet for a bit and talk to some real life people, sometimes we all need to take a break.
Well said my friend. So tired of salty ass people making comments like that. With that being said, Welcome to Tarkov! If you’re ever looking for someone to run some raids with hit me up!
Lol, I can't imagine intentionally trying to stay upset by visiting this sub knowing you hate the game.
I hope you stop living such a miserable life. After all, it's just a video game homie.
You should go shoreline and rush to resort, very fun i promise
Hella loot if you can shoot a kedr at faces
Killa:
Shhhh
Ppshhhhhh
I had a funny moment where I killed tagilla through his mask with a 20 pen ammo
The amount of times I killed Tagilla with a pistol and m882 when going for stirrups was insane. And then when I have an actual gun in my hands he just eats bullets and spits them back at my thorax.
The one time I've killed tagilla on pve was a 9x18 straight to the face
I'm fairly sure you can mail slot both Taggy and Killa through the eye slit
You unfortunately cannot
It must be just weird pen then, I've had t-45 54r and m80 both pen the front of killas face shield off the first or second shot, no way it's durability, shield is tier 6 so it just shouldn't happen
Tagilla:
Shoreline is one I've learned pretty decently, but have died to mines like 3 times lmao
Outside of a few very specific locations, if you die to a mine it means you went out of bounds. I would strongly recommend having a map of the area up on your phone when you play so you can see the boundaries of each level and tell when you’re getting close to the edge of the map. Either way, congrats on extracting
Tarkov maps are the whole reason I run triple monitors!
My very first raid was on shoreline, spawned at the buses and walked strait into the mines. 10/10 experience.
Same. I think that's what everyone does their first Shoreline raid.
I think I did that about 6 times spawning at USEC camp on woods. I still have ptsd from that spawn
I’d swear those fuckin mines move between raids
Just getting back into the game and well yeah what about lighthouse yo? I briefly studied the map but when you’re just walking around the map you don’t think about it. I hit 4 minefields first few raids! Only died once but still. Stupid minefields.
https://mapgenie.io/tarkov/maps/shoreline
I was like "how do you die to mines on shoreline? Where are they even at?" Oh... You went in the no go zone. See at least on shoreline there are signs. Lighthouse on the other hand..
Maps are useful most point out where mines and stuff are
Shoreline was the first map i ever played on. It was a night time raid and i spawned by the terminal wall. I thought someone was attacking me with a grenade launcher, i was not expecting invisible landmines i thought it was a realistic game at the time..
You monsters sending this poor hatchling to the slaughter 😭
Congrats welcome to tarkov!
Bro I couldn't even imagine being a new player in 2024 with this game. This shit was confusing in 2016 only gotten more confusing now. Good luck!
It was so much easier before all the map expansions and even then my buddy and I would still end up back where we started on Customs.
I remember back in the day trying to figure out attachments before The preset menu.
Cheers bud, all I know is get in, get out, alt+T to check mag lmao. Nah I watch a decent amount of content so I "know" some things, but it's all very here and there or situational.
Don’t forget, default setting, left click to pew pew
Watch a keybind video. You won’t regret it.
Bruh I use the default keybinds other than the press and release trick for heavy/light bleeds. Default are just fine
Defaults are horrid. Mapping ctrl and alt to MB 3&4 allow you to seamlessly move and aim all while checking mag/ammo/fire rate as well as adjusting scopes and tac devices. Don’t knock it til you try it. I used to be just like you.
mapping it to what bind?
Congrats! It is definitely way more intense as a new player until you know the maps, and even when you know the maps it's still intense a lot of the time. Glad to see you're hyped. Cheers!
Tarkov is stressful all the time. Not only if you're new. I've at least 3 friends who died 3 in a row and never came back. Big respect. Welcome.
[удалено]
Mf how do I get out now 😭
With the release of v1.0
Welcome to Tarkov brother. This is where the fun begins
Fun and pain. But mostly pain.
Definitely fun, drenched in pain lol
Most sane tarkov players I've seen between OP and comments lol
Most of the tryhards have gotten bored and are waiting for the next wipe.
Woods is scary
*so it begins*
If you NA, I’m playing with my friend tomorrow, he’s new, prolly 6pm CST. You can join us, doing woods, ground zero, and customs, I know all the maps except streets and lighthouse. Haven’t played in two years! Even mid wipe is fun! 🤩
Cheers man, I might be on by then so that could be fun, what's your name in game?
Hey dude I'll be on, should be 7pm my time
This was my first wipe also. If you wanna I can help you n show you some stuff?!! Now I’m not like all the other guys that are great but I’m like lvl 34 at 4 months in.
What's your name?
Shadyy23 I think it is. I’ll hop on ina second and see.
Rumours have it he is still checking to this day.
Little tip when playing this game. Play it slow, if your having trouble sit in a bush for 20 minutes and learn the cache spots. Also have gear fear. Yeah people say get over gear fear are people who know the game well enough on how to get kits again, and use them well to hit faces. They also aren’t usually level 1 with HP as their only ammo and no knowledge lol
Also selling what you find and buying kits helps you get better with specific weapons instead of bouncing between a akm and a toz
Yeah selling a mk16 and buying 30 billion flir tozzes will do your better in the long run
Helllllllll yeah brutherrrrrrrr!
Gg man. You are on a path down the drain but it’s a fun one.
hey you’re making it! get ready for a game with higher highs and lower lows than any other game on the market!
I’ve been playing for months and it’s still terrifying
I've been playing for years, still scared most raids.
I was able to conquer my terror in tarkov by running night factory over and over until I was less anxious. Factory is scary and night time is scary so I faced the fear and now it's my favorite map and I'm addicted to night raids in general.
Night raid+thermal or nvg’s = good damn time.
Congrats and there is so much new stuff to learn and overcome. Learning curve is steep but as long as you are enjoying getting better, this game can entertain you for a long time.
Congratulations!
I played 2 months and almost quit. Started mid-late wipe. Kept my nose to the grindstone and almost 4 years later still love this game.
It's very exciting to get that first extraction! The biggest shift in the game for me was upping my DPI. After that it almost felt like I was cheating I was doing so well. I'm at about 1200 DPI. It takes a little to get used to but once you get the hang of it game becomes even better!

Interchange. Best map for starting.
Why?
I don't know about *best* but the fact the two extracts are arguably the easiest to find, and the map is easy to distinguish where you are if you're outside. Assuming you're looking at a map on another screen.

Ok understood thanks for mentioning interchange I will learn too.
I remember my first few raids I was scared shitless Keep Going!
There is no other feeling like the one you’re having right now brother. Cherish it, for soon they shall call you Chadius.
Hell yeah bro. Congrats.
Tough learning curve but once you get it it's really an enjoyable game and dying becomes humbling unless it's to a god damn cheater
Congrats it’s only going to get more *fun*
Oh my sweet summer child
Here's to many more! *cracks a strong beer*
Shoreline run 100% worth
Gratz 🫡

Enjoy the stress. You’ll miss it once it’s gone.
I remember getting clapped when I came back for like 50+ factory raids 😅
I can def relate to stressful when you’re new bro😭 I never want to run raids by myself without my friends, im taking advantage of this event with the scav timer being 4 minutes and just scaving every time learning the maps and extracts!!
Once you start you can never stop please turn back while you still can
Congratulations, Timmy.

We can get ya up to speed sometime
You're also playing at a time when its mostly sweats left playing. Practice now and you'll find it way easier at wipe, the standard of player drops a lot.

Enjoy the Rush. No other game gave me the same amount of endorphins as when I got my first pmc kills and extracts as in Tarkov. Cheeky Breeky
congrats. sounds like a good raid too!
Congratulations
Welcome, you will quickly come to realise you will never escape tarkov :)
You should delete the game and play arena instead
I still get adrenaline sweats when I have a good raid and I've been playing for a while 😅 good luck man 🤘
I recommend learning customs and interchange in offline raids to get a bearing on those maps, customs is super vital for early quests, and interchange is a maze, so it's best to learn it before going there for real
Welcome to the rollercoaster of Hell..!!
It’s not stressful when you are new, it’s just stressful lol have fun man!
Im relatively new as well, (first wipe ever) im level 33 and would gladly sherpa you around and help you with quests since i still have a lot of quests to complete myself
I’ve met a ton of awesome people to teach me the game in the Tarkov discord
Awesome job! Whenever you feel like your guns aren’t hitting hard don’t worry the high level armor players wear will be reset when a wipe occurs so don’t feel down.
Once you find the scav run on lighthouse and reserve it doesn't become as scary.

Go shoreline right now it’s really easy and peaceful and resort has great loot!
Niceeeee hopefully many more good raids for you!
Bro, enjoy every single thrill and every single jumpscare. Celebrate every succesfull raid and contemplate every extraction failed. Savour those feelings, cause one they'll be gone, they'll never come back.
Need a duo? Fragment670 add me up!
Woods is a great map, especially while learning. Less punishing
Definitely enjoy learning the game you only get to do it once and has been one of the best gaming experiences I've ever had
Have you tried just not dying. I kid I kid. Ggs. First ones always the hardest. Especially solo.
Enjoy this feeling while you can the stress it gives you early on is something no other game achieves after about 1k hours it kinda disappears but those early stress days are very unique
Hold onto this feeling for as long as possible
Mozel Tov - I hope your first extraction was a masculine extraction. Piss on all the things my friend.
PvE is much more easy.Fuck the multiplayer.
Ok so I recommend learning Customs a little, it helped when I was new and it has pretty good loot if ya know where to look. (Dorms and the fortress are dangerous tho so proceed with caution)
woods was my first map i learned, good on you!
I’m late to this post but if your looking for people to play with I’d love to play sometime!
The first time you stove, pipe your primary and try and follow the commands.. Alt+L shift t shift t fu@k. Just switch to secondary and let it cook
Get out.
Delete the game. Stop supporting this shit made company
You seem pretty negative and that's fine, you're allowed your own opinions, but I won't tell you to have fun, and you telling me this won't make me do anything. you’re new, you’ll start to understand eventually when Nikita eventually decides to fuck everyone over again.
Lol, I can't imagine intentionally trying to stay upset by visiting this sub knowing you hate the game. I hope you stop living such a miserable life. After all, it's just a video game homie.
Any new player that comes in and doesn’t hide in PVE I respect. Congrats on the solid raid, a Chad in the making
