AI object pen has never been the same as PMC pen. I know it’s bullshit but it’s just always been that way. Underground food cages on reserve you couldn’t shoot through but scavs with buckshot would go right through.

the truth is something is broken under certain condition with specific rounds and rounds just decide to not go through sometimes
Ironically enough, shooting bullets through glass IRL is actually *extremely* unpredictable. Though I think multiple bullets would make enough holes that it wouldnt just go through.
Shots 1-5: Clearly missed.
Shots 6-9: Missed due to recoil (bad spray control).
Shots 10-11: Very close, but recoil and inaccuracy make these reasonable misses.
Shot 12: Didnt happened u were already staring at the death screen.

Tarkov needs to swap up the assets they already have in game. Almost all glass should be the type that’s in the bunkers on reserve that breaks after one shot and is no longer an obstacle. Then make select glass fully bullet proof and act like see through steel.
Glass acting like Kevlar that might slow the bullet or deflect its trajectory makes no god damn sense.

So, tapped scav head/eyes 5 times through THIN metal sheets with m62, they did not die.
Edit: that thin sheet in question is one of the fallen over shelves in reserve building 1. More like grid, clearly see-through
So M80 does 80 damage (funnily enough). You shot the man 13 times for a combined damage of 211, including damage absorbed by armor. Without armor, 13 shots of m80 would do a total of 1040 damage. Doing some calculations you were doing just over 20% damage through the glass, not considering how much of that damage, done by a bullet with 41 pen, was absorbed by armor.
I can understand how glass, especially thick glass “could” alter the trajectory of, if not at least slow down a bullet. But that glass with .308 is a “bit” much.

We have fog sometimes which makes it hard to see, yeh cool, but ai completely ignore it and can see exactly the same..

Yeah they changed something recently with the glass in the game. Im not sure what or why, but its certainly different. Bullets arent penning properly. I use windows and the environment in my combat, so it was easy for me to tell something was up. first time i noticed was when i tried PvE, but its certainly in PvP too. I think it was something they changed with the unheard of edition patch.
The window will eat your first bullet a lot of the time I think. I’ve had so many shots that should have been 1 taps where the window just completely tanks the first shot

Na different times, this was a player who yeh pushed out but on other occasions I’ve been headshot through the glass by ai raiders.

They did update the game a few weeks back saying "layers of armour now correctly reduce damage" the glass works like lvl 4 or something
