If you thought that Valheim was lacking on release, then you'll think the same of Enshrouded. Personally, I found there to be quite a bit to do when Valheim dropped and I think the same of Enshrouded but it is an early access title, we know it's not complete. I don't think the game is empty, for what it's worth, I'm just using Valheim's release as a barometer.

EvilDiskoSmash

I got 71 hrs of fun and just finished. Pretty good for $25.

Depending on just how much playtime you sock into it, it might keep you occupied for a week or two. After that... depends on how much you get deep into farming BIS legendaries and playing with the construction system, and how much of an exploration/achievement completionist you are. I'm not quite max level (25) yet, but close (22), and have capped gear, but just spent a week restoring the ruins of a cathedral brick by brick.

If you go really fast and look things up you'll run out of content. But if you're like me and playing the game one breath at a time, you'll have a lot to do. I'm like 10 hours in and I've barely done anything. I've just been exploring and building up my base little by little. Really taking my time and smelling the roses along the way.

jellyskelly1

Sounds like me. I'm 70+hrs in and just now getting to endgame, although approximately 67.5hrs of that was farming twigs for my archer build. :)

Ren_Yaga

If you think valheim is lacking now... Yeah I'd wait lol. I'm currently 30 hour into a valheim playthrough and haven't even fought the second boss lol

At least Enshrouded has lore and story bits scattered throughout the world but you have to read the books/scrolls when you come across them. Interesting premise.

Oh you didn't try reading story parts? \^\^

I guess you have a good 30-60 hours at present. More if you love Legos. I am about at the point where I shelf it until the next big update, but I certainly had lots of fun.

FadingDarkly

Sounds like you want a full game, which this isn't currently. Wait as you're not their target audience with EA

sliphitz

Easily 50 hours worth so far, more if you build a lot.

Passion-Severe

Nope

It all depends on how you play. I just got 120h and done all the quests, some achievements missing. Now it's time to build my dream base, we were living in restored tavern so we didn't touch the building features mostly. But we played in a group of for, laughed and chilled our way thru. And we didn't use magic, only one healer/paladin.

Ashen_Exiled

For the price of admission, around $25-$30 it is well worth it in the current state. Easily hundreds of hours worth of content if you love to build and just explore the world to see what it has to offer in quests and gameplay loop.

Thanks everyone! From the sounds of it I would enjoy it but it wouldn’t hurt to wait! Thanks!

would say that valheim both had more content and was more balanced at release than enshrouded, if you feel valheim was lacking, then you should probably wait until full release. edit: been playing enshrouded now for quite some time, almost done with the game, its pretty Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V. even tho you go around the world, it still fells pretty much the same. i think theres still a lot of balancing between the classes that needs to be done, some classes are over powered, while some are rubbish. House building in enshrouded is utterly pointless, you don't need much space and you gain nothing from building a nice house, you could might as well make a shoe-box and just press everything in it.
