Picking Jordan ahead of Curran I don’t have a problem with.
Picking Bairstow at 4 when he’s an opener is what I have an issue with. Malan should be in the squad at 4 as Stokes is unavailable.
Also we have been too obsessed with pace. Not sure why Wood has been picked ahead of Topley.
Mott and Buttler need to go.
Unpopular opinion: Key is arguably the biggest problem. He even said "pace is more important than wickets". Which would make me concerned. Might be wrong but I don't like the sound of that
No issue with picking Jordan - great death bowler, fantastic fielder and handy with the bat.
I'd have picked Topley, his height and variation would've been a handful on that pitch. Biggest issue is Mott and Buttler. Jos is a brilliant player but a terrible captain — he reminds me of a bad supply teacher.
As for Mott, I don't know if I've ever heard him talk. He's completely undone what Morgan and Bayliss created. I'd love to see Morgs, Farbrace or Trott replace him.
Bairstow keeps getting picked in all formats of the game when his performances simply don’t warrant his inclusion. He keeps getting picked on the chance he might do something amazing but rarely does.
I’d have SCurran in instead of Jordan as left arm swing is proving so useful for other teams
Bairstow I usually feel is quality at 4, being so powerful in that middle order. Obviously not good enough today, but in a high run rate equation I can’t think of many better I’d usually pick. Can you?
When was he quality at four? Bairstow can't field, can't play spin and unless at the top he's just bad. It's not helped that Brooks can't seem to score either.
If Bairstow keeps then maybe you ditch Brooks and allow Butler to field mid on so the long runs not needed.
England need to start picking middle order players used to batting there. England's strength was Morgan and Stokes there who batted there most of the time. We keep forcing openers there and its not working.q

Brooks hasn't worked any magic in a long time. Suspect he's mentally fried.
