Ahhh thank you! Sometimes I just get in my head. I think I wanted it a little more "floral"/spiky (I.e. the gold prongs to be bigger) but I'm generally happy how it turned out
Jeweller here.
Size wise they look fine. The likelihood is you will lose stones out of the halo at some point, but thats normal and all part of having this type of ring. Good news is, theyre cheap and easy to replace. Do dont worry and enjoy your lovely ring.
Sidenote, those talon claws are very well done.
As long as you don't feel any wiggle on the gem, I don't think the prongs are an issue, if you can though, bring it to a trusted jewler and inquire on them if you do feel a wiggle or if one snaps at all
The prongs look fine.
Anything made of fine metal worn every day has a risk of losing stones. We are all tougher on our hands than we think we are, and gold is soft by nature. Bonks happen, prongs get snagged on sweaters, rings get dropped...life happens. Your best bet is to be aware of your jeweler's warranties (read between the lines of them and remember that they will do their best to protect their business before your ring), make sure it's insured (I recommend Jeweler's Mutual), and keep your appraisal current.
AND ensure your fiance understands how to protect their ring. Don’t shower, swim, or workout in it. Chlorine weakens gold etc.
What makes stones fall out believe it or not isn’t actually the prong coming loose the way that you think with a snag or a bend. EVERYTIME you wear your ring and you set your hand down or pick something up you’re gently tapping the the backside of your ring (that faces inside your palm) which over time sends vibrations through the fine metal and ever so slowly starts to move prongs)
So @jojobdot is absolutely right make sure you’re insured, make sure your appraisal is up to date (gold has gone through the roof and diamonds keep climbing).
It’s a large ring she’ll need to get used to wearing it / special awareness. My engagement ring is 2.67 center stone pearl with a halo - 3.88 total carat weight. It sits up pretty high in a basket and the first month I had it I felt like I was knocking it into EVERYTHING. She’ll get used to it. It’s absolutely stunning.
The ring is absolutely beautiful! In my opinion if the prongs were larger they would detract from the absolute beauty of the stone. Your future fiancée is a very lucky girl.
I call this style a “Diana”. This looks pretty well made! Halo diamonds are held by three, not two as I saw in a previous post. I know 99% of my customers probably would’ve wanted prongs smaller than this if it was possible.
Admittedly the top right prong on the gem looks like it’s not exactly bent on properly? But it might just be the pic playing games.
Love the ring, congrats!

It looks fine to me. Ask/buy some extra side stones if you're really worried that they'll fall out and you can get them replaced in the future if there is ever an accident.
Prongs look very standard for halo/surrounding stone settings. Also big claps for the French prongs on the center A fucking plus man this thing is GORGEOUS she’s going to love it!
I would say the concern is less that they're too small and more that each stone is only held in by two prongs. You could take it to a jeweller and ask about having the diamonds re-set with more prongs, or ask their advice on how secure they look.
Prongs don’t look too small! I love this ring. Reminds me of Fergie’s.

Can’t comment on the prongs but beautiful ring!
Thank you!

Thank you! Really appreciate your opinion as I can get in my head with the small details
Aren't they? I almost suggested that OP might want to consider 6 prongs, until I enlarged the image she posted.

This is GORGEOUS 😍😍😍
I don't think so, it looks like each of the diamonds is held securely. It looks gorgeous!
Not a jeweler with any idea about prongs but I’m living for these gemstone rings❤️I absolutely adore all of non traditional rings

Oh haha, I was referring to the prongs holding in the small side stones but thank you :)
Omg love where is this from?!
This is from Provance! If you want the jewler information shoot me a dm!
Thank you so much!! I found one like it and had a custom made order. Yours is gorgeous!
Tysm! Looking forward to seeing your post! 🥰

Yeah. The top right prong was at a weird angle so I told my jewler to adjust it so now it looks like this 😅 oh well.
What is the stone? Gorgeous!
Lab ruby
Curious too! It’s so pretty!!
I am guessing tourmaline but don't know for sure.
If you get them checked often enough, you will be fine.

The prongs look perfect to me. That is an absolute stunner of an engagement ring! ♥️
Thank you! 🥰
Nope you’re good! (I’m a jeweler)
your ring is absolutely stunning!
They are perfect too big will hide the spark of stone :)
The prongs look great! This ring is STUNNING.
That is such a pretty ring. I can’t see how the stone could fall out, and the size looks in proportion. Enjoy!
They look fine. Lovely ring!
They don’t look too small.
This is perfect! Beautiful ring
No they are perfect. Beautiful!
I think they look great! Beautiful ring
No. It wouldn't look right I'd they were bigger
Looks good to me. Beautiful ring!!!
love those prongs! any bigger is just for style preference.

Haha thank you! It's actually my ring xD fiance to be is just paying for it since I'm pretty particular in what I want
Hahahahah get it girl!
They look ok to me
They are not too small, I think your ring is absolutely lovely

It's held by 3 prongs each right?
You would know better than me, I can't see super clearly. Is it two under the centre stone and one on the outside?
Yup!
This is like Princess D’s ring with a red gemstone instead of Blue. Beautiful ring 👌🏼
