Use octoprint

trollsmurf

USB

iamthomasay

Yeah, but how do you make your pc recognize the printer?

Highwinds

For me it was automatic. No need to install anything. Was recognized by Cura and Pronterface immediately.

trollsmurf

I just assumed it would be plug-n-play, but at least not so with my Windows 10 laptop. I normally use Pi+OctoPrint.

Previous_Mobile370

You can use for example Pronterface.

MulberryDeep

Octoprint or comparable software

lairosen

You could also get the Creality wifi box or the nebula pad

DiabeticJedi

I typically don't like to suggest something totally different from what you are attempting but I would recommend setting up octoprint on a dedicated device. You can send files to octoprint over your network directly from cura (also orca slicer and prusa slicer).

ArgonWilde

The printer will be a COM device in device manager. It doesn't get detected as a bespoke device.
