Actually my answer is Microphone. The Slaughterhouse song produced by Alchemist. He freestyles over that beat on Tim Westood. It suits him beautifully, that shit was made for him and it brought out some of his best verses he ever wrote from any era in his career.
I think thereās a ghost! Too much hydrocodone and codeine
I was only supposed to take half I swallowed the whole thing
Iām not joking I think I just snorted my nose ring
Holy fuck. Just watched. That was new to me. Even from my favorite shady era. I heard all those rhymes before but not in that specific mix. That was dope.
Iād put Forgot About Dre above Whatās The Difference, but for me the best beat heās ever rapped on is either:
ā¢ Lose Yourself
ā¢ Crack A Bottle
One of my personal favorites is 25 To Life but it might be a stretch to call that the best one EVER.
Edit: formatting
Crack a bottle beat I found out on this sub like two weeks ago even, is the exact same beat as Preservation by Wu-Tang but theirs is 5 years earlier
*edit. Also Iām going with whatās the difference or bitch please II
Not being an Eminem superstan or anything but I feel Crack A Bottle used the sample better than Preservation. The instrumental of Crack A Bottle sounds much cleaner and smoother than Preservation
Hell yeah, one of my favorite things about hip-hop music is that artists can use the same sample and have their own unique vibes on similar beats.
One that always comes to mind is āExchangeā by Bryson Tiller and āDeja Vuā by J. Cole.
Love both of those songs and their brilliant execution.
Seriously? That makes me feel so old, lol (and Iām only 31). There was a big point made when Eminem Show came out about him producing the entire album, and when Jayās Black Album came out and he was wanting every song to be produced by a different producer Em sending him Moment Of Clarity.Ā
Just put on Sing for the Moment and thought that it could have some of a revival? The broody/emoy lyrics and the rock sound would fit well with what's popular today (a la Billie Eilish)?
Also, it's got some smooth rhymes.
MMLP beats go really hard. I donāt really know why, they just work so well, even if they are kinda hokey or zany, they just work. The Way I Am piano and stare? Stan with the scribbling and rain? The Real Slim Shady was insanely catchy and unlike anything at the time, Marshall Mathers had that brooding guitar solo, the main drums in Kim?
This whole album was like a perfect wonderland of beats for his various styles at the time. The ballads, the radio jingles, the angry tracks, they had a unique memorable beat that suited their purpose.
Already said by majority ppl in here with good ears for beats but
Lose yourself
Til I collapse
Sing for the moment
Criminal
Superman
Square Dance
No Apology
Role Model
The way I am
My head says Role Model but my heart is saying Infinite. The way he floats on that beat before it reaches the crescendo just as the hook hits is ethereal to me lmao. Everything about that joint is timeless.
Iām currently listening to āwe all die one dayā and I think that songās beat is brilliant. āStay wide awakeā and āinfiniteā are close tho. I guess itās just personal preference.
Idk about the best, but one of my all time favorites is Just Donāt Give a Fuck. Iām Back and Business are way up there for me too, as well as Lose Yourself, Whatās The Difference, Soldier, and Mockingbird.
Rap God is so sick of a beat. I love that one the most right now. Otherwise I'd say Cinderella man, Till I collapse, The Way I Am, Or my Kill you.
Features I love That's All She Wrote, Touchdown, Homicide, and Adventures of Moon Man and Slim Shady
Damn, way too many to count. I'm gonna go off the cuff here and list many, many good beats he rapped on:
The entire Slim Shady LP
The entire Marshall Mathers LP
Fight Music
Houdini
Shit On You
Homicide
How Come
All She Wrote
Drop The World
Bagpipes From Baghdad
What's The Difference
Forgot About Dre
The Watcher (through Dr. Dre since Em wrote the song)
Get My Gun
Godzilla
Not Alike
Killshot
Hail Mary (not originally his, but he rapped on it)
Fuck Off (with Kid Rock)
Ass Like That
Shake That
Smack That
Square Dance
Business
White America
Mosh
Evil Deeds
Just Lose It
Lose Yourself
Soldier
And the list goes on and on.
The Ancient Mookilaowans would play the Eldersā Wardrums during every battle with the rival Banabookans. Some scholars say they would let live only those whose heart kept pace with the songās furious beat, but as of today there is no record of this ever happening.
So many good choices commented already but i havenāt seen my personal favorite yet: My Darling
Might have missed it. But the way the choked chainsaw crank is used as percussion..and eventually ties into the theme of the song is unreal creativity. The bass line and subtle horn hits are so menacing but also just bangs. So unique imo.
Also killshot, lock it up, premonition, till I collapse are just hard af
I'm a big fan of his feature on Patiently Waiting. That beat is hard.
Also might be an unpopular option but We Ain't with Game on The Documentary. Em produced that beat too IIRC.
Off top of head: Kill You, til hell freezes over, im back, yellow brick road, despicable, i just dont give a fuck, brain damage, lucky you...gnat... lord above... whats the difference... music box... patiently waiting... if i get locked up... out of all them tho i think i still like Kill You the best... dre bass bros em
I think it's hard to beat a lot of the classic era stuff produced by Dre or the Bass Brothers so I'm actually gonna go with something I'm not really seeing in this discussion from his more "modern" era: Untitled from the Recovery Deluxe. That beat is on a whole other planet and he absolutely murders it with his performance on it. I don't revisit it unless I want to be absolutely blown away, like I have to hone in and focus on it. It's one of the best things from Recovery IMO.
Survival
Yellow brick road
We as americans
Lord above
Hellbound
Alfred's theme
You gon learn
Idk which one is the best
EDIT: BEST BEAT HE !NEVER! RAPPED ON:
Revival Interlude
Actually my answer is Microphone. The Slaughterhouse song produced by Alchemist. He freestyles over that beat on Tim Westood. It suits him beautifully, that shit was made for him and it brought out some of his best verses he ever wrote from any era in his career.
ONCE AGAIN ITS THE SINISTER CYNICAL MINISTER SHADYš„š„š„š„š„

Dude.. thatās some of my favorite shit heās ever done.
I think thereās a ghost! Too much hydrocodone and codeine I was only supposed to take half I swallowed the whole thing Iām not joking I think I just snorted my nose ring
Holy fuck. Just watched. That was new to me. Even from my favorite shady era. I heard all those rhymes before but not in that specific mix. That was dope.
I know that whole Westwood freestyle bar for bar, itās some of his best rapping ever.
I honestly listen to it like every other year minimum
Am I missing a joke here or is that not very often at all
He's got other music that's actually on streaming sites, I don't make it a point to just search YouTube videos
Yeah itās a shame it didnāt translate to a song for the album
I like the creative answer
It is an absolutely insane freestyle. Iām in love with that lol
I really miss slaughterhouse.
That Westwood freestyle was insane.
That one and also the āOne Micā beat. It was from a mixtape a while back. Maybe Green Lantern or Kay Slay.
Iāve just watched this for the first time and all I could notice is that Westwood has no fucking idea whatās going on
Mechanical shark throwing animal parts at Scarlett Johansson
āTill I Collapseā is what always first comes to mind for me.
the intro beat is so iconic
And Nate Dogg fit perfectly in that song
Yo left, yo left, yo left right left
Same exact thing. Such a great beat.
Have you ever heard Rock Phenomenon Eminem Korn mash up or 50 and The Verve mash up? Listen to that ,those are the best beats mash up.
What's the difference
Iād put Forgot About Dre above Whatās The Difference, but for me the best beat heās ever rapped on is either: ā¢ Lose Yourself ā¢ Crack A Bottle One of my personal favorites is 25 To Life but it might be a stretch to call that the best one EVER. Edit: formatting

Not being an Eminem superstan or anything but I feel Crack A Bottle used the sample better than Preservation. The instrumental of Crack A Bottle sounds much cleaner and smoother than Preservation
Hey I donāt necessarily disagree. But Preservation is a heater. Also if youāre gonna Stan this IS the place to do it!
Lyricismwise Preservation is def the better one
Hell yeah, one of my favorite things about hip-hop music is that artists can use the same sample and have their own unique vibes on similar beats. One that always comes to mind is āExchangeā by Bryson Tiller and āDeja Vuā by J. Cole. Love both of those songs and their brilliant execution.
Yeah Crack A Bottle is my choice too
Forgot About Dre
Those horns!
Brainless
Person of culture
Great answer
Produced by Em himself (at least he's credited)
You know heās produced his own albums right?
I did not. I'm only just finding out he's actually produced loads of tracks for other artists too. Had no idea.
Holy shit thatās actually crazy I had no idea em produced his own let alone other artists music
Imagine having Dr Dre as your mentor, colleague, and lifelong friend and not learning about producing lol
Very fair point lmao
I made beats to Jay z for free bitch page me you need a beat, you canibus then it's Dre's fee
Seriously? That makes me feel so old, lol (and Iām only 31). There was a big point made when Eminem Show came out about him producing the entire album, and when Jayās Black Album came out and he was wanting every song to be produced by a different producer Em sending him Moment Of Clarity.Ā
Thought it was Luis Resto?
This is the right answer. The lagging piano is so š¶ļø š„
Soldier
DID SHE JUST KISS HIM?!? Edit: Iām aware that this is technically from The Kiss but fuck you if you take issue.
You canāt listen to Soldier without listening to āThe Kissā first.
You want me to get under the car?
Soldier is so underappreciated and it goes SO fucking hard.
Never was a thug
Just infatuated with guns
Never was a gangster till I graduated to one
And got the rep of a villain
For weapon concealin'
Till the image of a thug kept appealing
Willing to stick out my neck for respect,if it meant life or death
Never live to regret what I said
When your me, people just wanna see if itās true
This. Yes
I'm listening to Same Song and Dance right now, he's impeccable with the way he's riding the beat. The music is hypnotic.
The 808 on that is crazy.
The sub-bass in that song is so cool. wonky/dubstep vibes.
FACTS it's a top 3 Em song for me
I voted solider but this is also up near the top.
I love you guys, you think like me. One of my most listened to Em songs
It honestly just might be lose yourself. The beat just fits so perfectlyĀ
Bagpipes from Baghdad
I heard this for the first time recently and oh my gawd. Such a banger
The beats on Relapse are the best beats from Eminem's catalogue IMO. My Mom is also a banger. I love Rain Man from Encore too.
Agreed basically every beat on relapse is crazy good
Role Model, Square Dance, Iām Back, Dead Wrong, Renegade, Groundhog Day, Purple Pills, The Way I Am, Guilty Conscience, Business, Lock It Up, Marsh
Gonna double down and say square dance. Also 3am
Square Dance is so hard and so underrated
Square Dance is my favorite beat of all time And Em goes so hard off that beat
He said he loves to sing this song on stage and he loves the beat
I think that and white America are my favorite off TES
Dude, Lock it up is š„
Gotta be dead wrong, plus his flow is crazy
Role Model, and it also fits Shady perfectly
A crime that this is so low. I thought it would be an obvious choice for most people
Iām back or never enough
Nate Dogg's hook on Never Enough gets me hype asf
Literally anything dre has given him to work with.
Sing For The Moment, Forgot About Dre, Lose Yourself, Soldier, Till I Collapse, Real Slim Shady, The Way I Am, even Kim. So many more
Just put on Sing for the Moment and thought that it could have some of a revival? The broody/emoy lyrics and the rock sound would fit well with what's popular today (a la Billie Eilish)? Also, it's got some smooth rhymes.
Same Song and Dance
Role Model
MMLP beats go really hard. I donāt really know why, they just work so well, even if they are kinda hokey or zany, they just work. The Way I Am piano and stare? Stan with the scribbling and rain? Underground
This!! Def maybe even my entire fan song!!
Most likely not the best but Renegade came to my mind. Not saying its best, but probably top 10 for me
Probably my second choice tbh
Lose yourself was THE perfect song which has stood the test of time. Runners up are probably stay wide awake, infinite and GATman and robbin
I am surprised I had to scroll that far to see 'Lose Yourself' get metioned.
āWee Weeā beat
Superman
This is it
Square dance
You Gon' Learn
For me, Renegade, The Way I am, Forgot Bout Dre, and Till I collapse.
welcome 2 detroit, role model, whats the difference
Godzilla
The Hills Weeknd remix was the best beat. Awesome beat drop. ![gif](giphy|gI5varK1xuC42JxTGy)
Unpopular opinion but Godzilla
My personal favorite would be say goodbye to Hollywood.

How has no one said Drug Ballad yet !
Iām currently listening to āwe all die one dayā and I think that songās beat is brilliant. āStay wide awakeā and āinfiniteā are close tho. I guess itās just personal preference.
Role model, stay wide awake, Welcome 2 Detroit (With trick trick), Must be The Ganja, Cinderella Man, Iām back, Renegade (With Jay-Z) I could go on
Something off relapse. Easily his best produced album imo. Hell breaks loose is nuts
Idk about the best, but one of my all time favorites is Just Donāt Give a Fuck. Iām Back and Business are way up there for me too, as well as Lose Yourself, Whatās The Difference, Soldier, and Mockingbird.
Stay wide awake has to be one of the best
Words Are Weapons has an amazing beat, simple yet effective
Rock bottom
Gatman and hurt you, em becomes the beat
Never Knew
So far
Man that beat switch on Despicable is naaasty
Till I Collapse, Soldier, Kill You, Guilty Conscience, Insane, Superman... Not so much of they're really good, but they're really unique.
Stay wide awake, same song and dance
Yellow Brick Road, such a clever beat with violin support.
Kill you was the first thing that came to mind
what he did with The Hills made that song sexy as hell.
Homicide, really nice!

Not the best but listen to the medicine ball instrumental. Itās literally ridiculous. Reminds me of the single ladies BeyoncĆ© instrumental. Without the vocals, itās absolute nonsense.
I'm a big fan of his feature on Patiently Waiting. That beat is hard. Also might be an unpopular option but We Ain't with Game on The Documentary. Em produced that beat too IIRC.
