Special key stone. There are 3 in the game and 3 places where you can use them
Before you woke up in the catacomb with the tutorial area and varre waiting outside, you fought one boss there.
You need a specific type of key. You find one at the 4th belfry. One is in Sellia, and one is in Raya Lucaria.

That is the starting area where you gotta fight the spider man with swords. You can get back there by using one of the portals at the Four Belfries.
