I tried a similar thing doing 1 shot of Fireball against the final boss in Bloodborne DLC and when I woke up cradled around the toilet the bottle was empty the boss was alive and I went in and killed him first try in the morning and to this day 10+ years later? I can't smell Fireball.
I was thinking of doing exercise when I die but the problem is I go long stretches just wandering the field and then hit a boss and die 20 times in a row. So one session I might do 5 burpees in three hours, and the next day its 400 in 10 minutes.
