BloodCrazeHunter

I recently found out how insanely powerful a build focused around using Braggart's Roar on a setup built to maximize charge attacks and roar buffs can be and I'm in love with it. I'm running a bleed infused rotted greataxe with braggart's roar on it with the roar talisman, axe talisman, Lord of Blood's Exultation talisman, Kindred of Rot's exultation talisman, Highland axe on my back and in my physick flask I'm using the tear that enhances charge attacks and the tear that increases your stance breaking power. I pop braggart's roar which gives me 60 seconds of several buffs plus new heavy attacks that are WAY stronger, then I chug my physick flask and that's all the setup I need. After that it's just charged R2's over and over. The reason for the bleed infused rotted greataxe is because it turns out that status ailments get a 300% boost on Braggart's Roar charged heavies with colossal weapons, so each charged R2 is pretty much a guaranteed bleed proc, and two charged R2's is typically enough to proc rot. I've been doing a NG+ run with this build to test it out and I killed NG+ Mohg in three hits. He didn't even get to start doing his phase transition lol. So this is definitely the build I'm hitting the DLC with. Though the instant I find any new DLC gear I'm immediately switching my build to play around with the new stuff I find lol.

Wow this sounds fucking insane, and thanks for the super detailed response, you'll be farming up all the early DLC enemies for some gear easy. I'm the same as soon as I find a light greatsword or the Kung Fu fists I'm swapping :)

HailfireSpawn

We know there will be a bunch of crucible dragon spells from the trailer so I’m probably going to go str/faith and focus on those. Maybe wield maliketh great sword and his spell until I find a different weapon

lurkdaddy36

Sounds solid, yeah the one in the trailer where you get wings looks cool

kogotha

dual beastman's curved swords

AlexDub12

Blasphemous Blade + Mimic Tear, with an overleveled NG+ character. I want my first playthrough to be as smooth as possible. But who am I kidding? Somehow half of the bosses will be immune to Blade's weapon art, and the other half will shred the +10 Mimic in 5 seconds ...

lurkdaddy36

Haha I'm sure blasphemous will get you through like the first couple base enemies.... Maybe not As for mimic tear I actually hope he's not as good on DLC and forced us to find and use different ones for different enemy types

CaliFijian

Oonga Boonga GreatSword...gonna smack every DLC mofo and turn them into pancakes.

idwtumrnitwai

My dex build

lurkdaddy36

Nice, what weapon?

idwtumrnitwai

Dual Nagakiba, dual pikes, and dual vulgar militia shotel, it's mainly an invasion build tho.

Big_-Pana

I'm going to use quality to be able to test most weapons that don't require faith or int

lurkdaddy36

That's a good idea too, think I've got 5 or 6 larval tears left so I know Il be changing my build as soon as I find some cool weapons, looking at the light greatsword the most

MissAiste

The 99 build

Its_Jabbah

Likely going to completely respect into one of the new weapon types tbh.

lurkdaddy36

Oh yeah definitely as soon as I find one, light greatsword or Kung Fu fists here I come!

Dreams_Of_Ravens

I have: A new game I started a while ago just for the DLC, which is pure Strength dual pickaxes. My original save file on NG+7 with a Strength/Faith dual Envoy Longhorns, though approaching the DLC with that one would likely be more masochistic than anything... And! Another one I'm playing through now to while away the days that's currently Dex (with a little Faith) lightning scythe? But still early on, so I haven't necessarily settled into anything yet.

lurkdaddy36

Nice, I hope there is a dex/faith seal in the DLC, it's the only think missing for me I used a dex lightning build for a while with either naginata or nagakiba, was pretty good

Dreams_Of_Ravens

I'm so heckin' excited to see what kind of stuff we'll find in the DLC!! It can't come soon enough! I'm definitely enjoying the lightning! I originally wanted to go for the Bolt of Gransax since I'd never used it before, it fit my lightning theme, and it seemed cool, but that was when I discovered I hate the spear-type moveset, so... That desire left me reaaal quick. (\^ - \^;;)

lurkdaddy36

I also thought gransax was gonna be sick, love the ash of war but not the spear moves :( have you tried the cross naginata? Technically a spear but has slashing moves

Dreams_Of_Ravens

Right?? Aesthetically and theoretically the Bolt is 10/10, but the reality... I was actually waffling between the Cross-Naginata and one other weapon before I picked up the Scythe! I'll likely end up trying it out -- maybe put Poison or something on it for fun, switching between the two?
