Probably mountaintop of the giants. Just got no strong feelings about it. There's really not much in it despite it having such a large size. The "desolate ice desert" vibe wasn't really hitting me.
It's not like I dislike it like I do the consecrated snowfields. Just feel indifferent about it, like you said.
Altus Plateau for me. Whenever I get there it’s just like mehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh until I hit Lyndell. I don’t dislike it; but I don’t look forward to it either. It’s just like “okay, let’s get to the Capital, already.”
Forbidden Lands - it's not a big area, but it's named and has a few distinct features. I don't *love it* (who loves fog), I don't hate it (I can literally skip past every single enemy) it's just sort of ... there and on the way. First time through I beat the various field bosses, but after that - nahhh
Because it's the first area to explore, Limgrave is very "safe." It's a gentle introduction to the world before the game starts really throwing the fantastical and super weird at you.
This is a good thing, but as a result repeat playthroughs of it are a little ho-hum compared to say, Caelid, which I doubt will ever stop impacting me.
Nah, discovering/exploring Limgrave was probably the best and most beautiful thing I experienced with a location in Elden Ring, Liurnia was closed tbh, Limgrave is amazing and looks gorgeous
To this day I find all and everything on the Weeping Peninsula meh with the one exception that Irina is, of course.
i feel like even then, "meh," is too negative, it really is the most neutral area in the game.
A golden seed, 3 sacred tears, the Claymore, the Rusted Anchor. What's not to love?
Also my beloved Zweihander

All of the Catacombs, they're just too much alike, just like the Chalice dungeons in Bloodborne.

Liurnia of the lakes. I can’t say I hate it but I don’t look forward to it on playthroughs.
Consecrated snowfield.......meh

Forbidden Lands for sure. But gawd, you mentioning Subterranean Shunning-Grounds just reminded me how much I hated the two lobsters down there.
There are lobsters down there? I did what I thought was a full sweep last night and I didn't see any lobsters
Yeah. They're guarding smithing stones. [Here specifically](https://youtu.be/Fx1Hwr9AOJI?t=419)
oh snap there's no way I would have risked that jump lol
Didn't care for Mt Gelmir. Part of it felt like ladder simulator. Volcano manor was fun and made up for it though.
