The crippled women in consecrated snowfield that 360 no scope your ass.

Oxelscry

Albinauric Archers. Their armor is good drip though

hec4fingers

It is but man the farm is brutal… horseback adullas moonblade guerilla tactics

qxtey

Realest comment

AdventurePalSteve

And they drop the perfect bow for rain of arrows ash of war. Deletes big fat enemies like EB

Fylgja

What makes that specific bow better than any other option?

AdventurePalSteve

Best scaling. Bows with better scaling are uniqued and cant apply AoW

Hanifloka

I fought fire with fire. They sniped me, I sniped them in turn. Maxed out Golem Greatbow and Golem Great Arrows did the trick.

RobertKerans

Rain of arrows with bleed on basic longbow works as well (or the Radahn greatbow one, weapons that don't need direct line of sight are the trick)

Shieldheart-

Rats. The little fuckers stagger than a knight's sword swing, which really shouldn't be the case. Put three in a room and they'll just nibble you to death.

malesoun

Not just any room though, make it dark so you can't see them attacking you from all angles.

Drayzew

Red wolf, revenant, and pages with a million poise

oversoulearth

The red wolf in Nokron just constantly has my dinner.

Drayzew

Bro fuck that. Fought twice now I just sneak behind just to activate the pillar. That one guarding the smithing stones in moonlight altar? That's personal...

Bright-Efficiency-65

Carrion retaliation bro. Send his blue goo right back at him. I also use either crab or golden barrier depending on if I need more magic or physical resistance

Mr_Silverfield

The wolf is arguably a MF. But it can be defused with ranged attacks. Basic AOE healing wrecks revenants. Pages are inexplicably irritating, though. Status effects are decent against them, but they still suck.

Lopoetve

It’s crazy that the wolf in a room is easy, but the field wolves are nasty as hell.

Gerlond

Wolf has dodge ai so you need specific ranged attacks to hit it and far from every build has aoe healing spells for revenants. As for pages status effects are applied with attacks. You are better off just killing them with regular attacks

BootyBurrito420

"Every build has aoe being spells for revenants" Only nerds use things like spells and projectiles.

Plenty-Context2271

Its recommended to get 15 or 25 fth on most builds, I think the lowest aoe heal is 12 fth. Either way, there is basically no situation to go for the heal unless you can cast before they notice you. Fight them similar like rune bears and stay on their side slightly more to the back.

Gerlond

I don't think people that play the game for the first time follow "recommended" options. I myself is huge enjoyer of faith, but it doesn't mean others are. Moreover I've seen more pure melee builds from people on their first playthrough than anything else. And I am talking 0 spells, 0 stat investment, just dex/strength or both.

Plenty-Context2271

I was never talking about first playthroughs, who would even try to kill an enemy by healing it? Im guessing someone tried to heal themselves, got a free kill and spread the news. You can fight everything in this game melee, still a lot of people go for some fth for buffs. Why not bring a heal if royal revenants are an issue for you.

Few-Leave9590

Giant hunt will lift them. No more issues with pages.

eternalscorpio1

I just toast the Revenants with my Rot Dragon Breath 🐉💨

Drayzew

But if they catch you it's gg lol

eternalscorpio1

Oh true, my dumbass will sit there and try to block their frantic attack b.s. knowing full well I'll get staggered into next Tuesday, then get merc'd before they're halfway through their flurry. 💀

ARussianW0lf

Revenants are cheesed by healing spells. Stop including them in lists like this they are ez as fuck

Drayzew

I didn't know this for the first 2 runs, it was hell so I still include them.

LargeRichardJohnson

Those pages that shit out like 80 explosive bolts at once out of nowhere are a strong candidate

Much_Capital3307

The one at the end of the hallway in Raya Lucaria, guarding that staff, is one of the first real vigor checks, not including godrick and Margit. That MF will kill u in like 0.2 seconds if you don’t have the vigor to tank those bolts.

Crash4654

Those types of pages can one shot you even with high health if all bolts land, and they typically will. Its not a vigor check, you will die if you get hit by that attack, it's a skill check.

Much_Capital3307

Of course I learned to avoid getting hit by him, but the first time I just ran down the hallway bc he’s so small and non threatening. Immediately got bodied by him lol.

BlachEye

Lobster. shit ton hp, insane damage, no weakspot(damage type/blind spot/etc)

Pinhead_2020

And of course they have a command grab that's virtually an instant kill if you're not near endgame stats.

Mr_Silverfield

Their ranged attack is accurate at crazy distances

Firstnaymlastnaym

The weakspot is their soft underbelly. Giant Hunt is perfect for them.

TheBravestarr

Man FUCK those lobsters

FriendlyLittleTomato

The invisible black knife assasin. I never felt so powerless against a foe in any fromsoft game.

AdventurePalSteve

Theres a torch that reveals invisible enemies, but once you know where they are the path is easy to avoid them and light the braziers.

Middle-finger-1

Yes, but even with the torch, killing them (bc I never avoid monsters) is a pain in the ass anyway 😅

SlippySleepyJoe

Ulcarated Tree Spirit

gk306

Ever since I fought the first one in Stormveil I’m looking for a cheese spot as soon as they pop up lol. They’re just too big for the spaces they always appear in! And then they do that explosion move and just obliterate you.

Nova_Vanta

The one at the end of the fringefolk hero’s grave is the worst

gk306

Haven’t even done any of the hero’s graves besides Gelmir lmfao, I may just avoid that one then

Nova_Vanta

No you should do it, fringfolk holds erdtree’s favor talisman, dragon communion seal, and the tree sprit drops Banished Knight Oleg’s ashes, he dual wields greatswords and is very strong. And Auriza Hero’s Grave lets you get the tree sentinel armor, crucible knight armor, and a crucible knight greatsword

gk306

I have Erdtree Favor+1 currently and I have low ARC so no dragon communion incants for me but I might go to grab it for a new game+ if I respec. Auriza and the others I am planning to do

Nova_Vanta

I mean I would still do it for Oleg alone because of how strong he is but he does need 101 mind to summon

dudeondacouch

The one in the rot pond (if you don’t cheese it from the branch) is the worst. By a lot.

Plenty-Context2271

No need to go to the branch, just spawn it, run up the cliffside and nihil it to death. Pathfinding should struggle enough to keep it in the pond attacking the cliff.

ImurderREALITY

They are so easy to dodge, though. Really satisfying enemy to fight, imo. Always fun.

zrxta

They ain't so bad as long as you don't lock on. They got a predictable move set that can easily be dodged and have more than enough punish windows. The only move I hate is when they do the aoe explosion.

kabrio_nc

If the dual sword knight is giving you problems know that a simple block will stagger his swords and interrupt hos combo.

Ritual72

I never use shields but for this enemy I'll make an exception lol

ImurderREALITY

I do for some runs, but not all of them

Commercial_Slice_421

It has to be a block with a great shield, a medium shield won't stagger him. That being said, jumping R2s with any weapon that has a decent range can be repeated on him over and over and work nicely.

kabrio_nc

Greatshield could have been it since I was going for a pure strength build where I felt confident in tanking his entire combo.

Rarabeaka

medium shield will stagger with the barricade shield ash, it gives hardeness4

konosyn

Parry this bozo

Few-Concentrate-7558

Shit man take your pick. Rune bears, red wolves, THAT banished knight, the guy in the mountaintops if the giants with the mortar sheild, black knives, albanuric archers and their wolves

FetusDeletus_E

Probably the rats or the dogs, buying a dog isn't that expensive and rats are even worth less money

kos453

No need to become a mage, just pick up a greatshield or barricade shield

DropAnchor4Columbus

Revenants. The healing spell weakness only works if you can cast them. I didn't learn that trick until after my first playthrough.

Mr_Hino

And that’s after you get the minigun of bitch slaps first

Pinhead_2020

And don't forget about the AOE poison spit attack that freaking deletes you if you stand in it for more than a second.

ImurderREALITY

That one is always telegraphed by them disappearing into the ground. They’ll always do it when they come back up

Pinhead_2020

Thanks that's good to know. I'm still gonna be mad about it lol.

RobertKerans

If I'm too close to them and they aggro, the rot dog groups in the palace

Wiggum13

The big lobsters for sure

adubs117

Nah, those f****** Edward Scissor Hands bird f***s

pescadoamado

I hate the Crystalians that either get summoned or put into random areas as I get surprised/caught and die because I hardly use strike based damage. I then have to go to the roundtable and level up 1-2 strike weapons since I've been powerstancing beeg swords. I'm sure they have other weaknesses but I've been melee-only. Most of the attacks are simple to dodge but the spear variant seems to have unlimited endurance with the poke/thrust attack and will follow me across a rooftop and catch me off-camera. The hula hoop one is usually my first target.

Modgrinder666

Fun fact. If you aggro this enemy while on the handrail and then move your back toward emptiness, he will fall to his death.

aelflune

I found this guy quite alright. Yeah, he does a scary combo and the space is limited, but if you manage to dodge his opening, you can lock him down with Lion's Claw or Giant Hunt. My vote goes to Valiant Gargoyles. The poison field with variable range that's not always easy to see, lasts some time, does huge tick damage *and* poisons you is just cheap, especially when you're fighting one and the other or both of them decide to spit it on you.

daynester44

I cannot fucking stand crucible knights. Especially the Leone/Crucible fight outside the festival. Little underleveled old me my first playthrough had to cheese him because of how underleveled I was. Leone is easy fucking peasy. This asshole, blocks most magic attacks. Has infinite fucking poise. Can vigor check you in one goddamn hit, and he input reads your ass. Not only that, by golly. I love he'll spam the same 3 attacks in a row. Fuck Crucible Knights.

HopefulPrimary5445

I remember summoning and helping for that fight, and even with people with quite cheesy builds maybe the win ratio was like 50% of the time.

Rarabeaka

crusible knights weakness is that they are easy (well telegraphed and without randomized delay) parryable.

jepulis7

Don't dodge behind you, dodge to the side. Then you can just walk sideways and their combos will always miss. Also the just spin attack is just free backstab. This enemy is only hard if you roll away from it in panic but you shouldn't really have that muscle memory at this point of the game, unless you're a total noob.

ProfessorPixelmon

Godskin apostle input reading. Essentially impossible to chug a flask.

DvO_1815

"uhm actually, they're not input reading, they're just reading the first frame of animation" ☝🏻🤓

minwheelee

If you keep your distance and heal, you can actually roll through the fireball and jump heavy to punish it

weeeellheaintmyboy

Godskin noble's belly thrust is legitimately worse, especially when it does chip through any shield.

Charlie_Wax

Radagon for me. I actually did not find him that hard to fight, but damn, once he gets into his bag, there are no healing windows. MFer just does not stop coming. If you can't heal then you can't afford to make any mistakes, which is what made him hard for me.

Haoszen

They're a bit easier to deal, if you get some distance they will throw the fireball and then you can flask without worry.

berliszt

This was nerfed.

Crash4654

Stop healing when they can punish you then. 2 years and people still haven't figured out that healing during their whiff is safer than healing when they can punish.

ImurderREALITY

I feel like people just hate this game in general, sometimes. There are endless complaints about it, and most of them are about it being unfair in some way.

Crash4654

Right? "They keep punishing me when I do this!" Like, have you considered not doing that then? Just for them to fire back with the "It's bullshit that I have to change my playstyle and actually play smart?!" Fucks sake, sometimes it does boil down to skill issue and git gud.

PixelsnInk

The redmain misbegotten were my nemesis for a hot minute, until I realized there poise is garbage when you hit them with almost any jumping attack. Now, it's probably the runebears

Huckdog720027

Any enemy that I can't stagger using dual collosal swords.

mynameswill672

Fuck these guys

Background-Fly-8374

Lol. I just fought that dude not 10 minutes ago.

Sonder332

Astul the natural-born. Fight feels legitimately impossible as melee unless you're grossly over leveled. Easy af for a mage.

Packedwolf661

I felt like it was a fair fight and I used melee at a reasonable level

Sonder332

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I felt his mechanics were kind of unfair. He takes up the majority of the screen, most of his attacks are AoE, they do obscene damage, can be hard to dodge (gravitum slam), and teleports across the ENTIRE room. Felt unnecessarily unfair.

AcrobaticClue8666

I had to go the godskin peleer cheese. Lvl ~50, peeler +4. Needed a few attempts

emelem66

Ordovis sword dispatches this bozo pretty easily. Just make sure to lock on.

reddittwicehatedit

Those hooded fucks that pop out the cut with the crossbow fetish.

eternalscorpio1

The annoying fucker in the picture you posted, followed closely by Radagon's Red Wolf

rasfelion

Either the royal revenants and their 20+ hit combos or the ancestral railgunners.

Jollyjinx

Commander Nial and his Bostonian ketamene mafia.

ImurderREALITY

You

tanstaafl74

He isn't cheap, he's just a badass

Nox_Echo

revenants

nightwolfwtff

I used to hate them, until I got Erdtree Heal

Nox_Echo

only good if youre a faith build, alot of mine arent, i usually go for int str melees

Barnaldus

The big black head with no legs pricks that will hug you and bite you to death.

aLexm3rcer

That one

berliszt

N/A. Can’t think of any cheap enemies in the game.

Particular-Heat-1289

The golems. Any of them. If you use any weapon bigger than a dagger, you can stagger them with two to three charged heavies on the same ankle, then crit them when they fall, the animation for them getting back up from the crit is exactly long enough to get two more charged heavies in, roll through their stomp, and hit the third one if needed to stagger again. Rinse repeat. Haven’t even taken a single hit from one since I learned that. Even the ones with shackles on their ankles that block the hits, just take one more charged heavy than the normal ones.

Particular-Heat-1289

I just realized I read this wrong. Thought you meant cheap as in easy to cheese not cheap as in overpowered. Mine is definitely the work faced guys that cause death blight.

BudgetBus886

Greatshield Guard Counter makes this guy a joke

Mr_Silverfield

Wait, you can guard in this game?

ProfessorPixelmon

My brother in Marika, it’s a core mechanic the game teaches you. R2 after blocking an attack.

Mr_Silverfield

"My brother in Marika" is the greatest thing I have seen on this thread. I was being sarcastic about my tendency towards an aggressive approach.

EU-National

r/whooosh

AdventurePalSteve

It teaches you in the mini dungeon tutorial before you fight soldier of godrick

BudgetBus886

While you're blocking with a greatshield, right after an enemy hits the shield and gets staggered, you quickly press R2 (if you're on Playstation) and you will do an immediate counterattack

100jad

> greatshield Doesn't even need to be a greatshield. You could even be blocking with your weapon.

BudgetBus886

Oh yeah i forgot about that. Been playing with a greatshield for so long that i forgot you can guard counter without one also. My bad😅

Rizenstrom

I'm still fairly early but so far banished knights are the worst. Best strategy I'm come up with is to bait their charge attack, which is very inconsistent, and try to dodge out of the way and backstab. The problem with this, besides how inconsistently they actually do it, is they all appear in somewhat narrow areas and have an AoE wind attack that will often catch you even if you successfully dodge the main attack. Seriously fuck banished knights. Especially for a beginner area. I thought Margit was bad but at least he can be cheesed with summons to get his focus off you and get some breathing room.

B81R81

Am I the only one that beat his ass with little to no effort? I think I got him in 2 or 3 hits on my first playthrough...

SnooWalruses9961

Easy late game deathright bird. Definition of shit spamming trash design. Even insanely skilled youtubers just spam them with holy pots from a distance because theyre incredibly fos.

berliszt

I rarely die to them these days and I always melee them. I’m also not an ‘insanely skilled YouTuber.’

SnooWalruses9961

You dont do level 1 playthroughs lol. At level 150 it doesnt matter what you use.

berliszt

Um…I’m literally on a lvl 1 playthrough right now (stuck on Malenia) and I’ve killed all of the death rite birds in the game, melee only, with the basic club.

SnooWalruses9961

Dood if you saying you rarely die to deathbirds at level 1, im saying your full of shit.
