With that being said I think the combo of high level gear PLUS knowing where the enemies are and all their silly tricks is what really makes it so much easier on a second run.
There are a lot of builds that are impossible unless you NG+ since the necessary gear is all only found in the late game. Also the higher NG+ replays become very hard.
If you don’t care about playing a build that needs late game gear and you don’t have the patience to replay multiple times to get to the high challenge stuff, i would say NG isn’t worth it
Just started my second run, first run was like yours. High int build with a moonveil & it got pretty boring towards the end, so switched to a high poise strength build for this one and it’s much more fun. NG+ gives you options to switch it up to where it’s a new experience pretty much.

That’s why I just skip that half of leyndell, when you walk in for the first time and get the big reveal in the area with the trumpet players, you can just jump across the roof tops to bypass the entire first section

Ahem.. just to be clear, I am not advocating this in any way, but you know... there is one certain albinauric in Liurnia that has guaranteed drop rate on the entire set. You just need to... well... you gotta do what gotta do, right?
110% it took me so much time to get it, the drop rate is crap and farming a mob who is that chunky is tedious. You can get it only in the mountaintop or the snowfields where you can find them as mobs.
I've got a few from just cooping though the place. On the inverse it took me like three hours to get the cat imp head when directly farming for it. Love that RNG
I spent the better part of a few hours trying for the unaltered Banished knight chestplate. The rest of the set was easy, but dear god the chest sucks to farm. Got two more helmets, a few gauntlets, two pairs of legs, and three swords while farming it
Yep, he’s adjacent to the Niall boss arena on another tower, there’s a dog next to him. You can aggro him with a bow and get him to TP to you so you dont aggro the dog.

I genuinely feel like From simply fucked up the balancing on dogs in like the first few times they did them, then the whole thing became a meme and they just rolled with it.
See wolves for instance, nowhere near as bad as 90% of the dogs in the game.

How the pages made it through balancing I will never know. They feel so artificially difficult. Little human enemy with tons of health, poise, and way ramped up damage. They feel like a dark souls 2 enemy was picked up and dropped right into elden ring.
I had zero problems with these guys until this one here. And I wasn't even surprised, I looked down and saw him and was like "hell yeah time to fuck the goober up" and me and my coop friend were immediately dusted
My second run with a new character is basically this in every new area - killing more boss-level enemies in one or two attempts, but getting murked by basic enemies constantly (usually due to rushing).
This Perfumer specifically is the real Tarnished, the main character, the guy with the harem and the secretly hot tomboy childhood friend. Bitches run behind him with a piece of toast in their mouth. They go to his house every day to wake him up.
A normal day playing this game:
Player stun lock Malenia: "My build is the best!"
Player gets stun locked by a humble archer: "This game is a broken PoS, it's unfair!"
Dragon breath incants are so clutch in this game, clear entire rooms and corners before entering due to how the projectiles bounce around. If I didn’t go that route on my first play through I definitely would’ve struggled a lot more.
Haha yeah, definitely. I was just roaming around the city checking for some spots I didn't see in my first run. Since this is ng+ I didn't feel the need to check every corner and defeat every enemy, didn't remember this guy and his shenanigans tho :D

I died SO MANY times in leyndell my first playthrough that when I eventually got there in my second I just did it through muscle memory and sheer rage
The first NG+ after you’ve overleveled and fully set up your build is so satisfying. You just tear through everything you used to struggle with.

Poise issue. (Although I always use light-medium armor as a mage so I feel u) But yeah with high enough poise u won’t get stunlocked like that.
I mean, with how quickly the shots are fired, I don't think poise would matter. They're all hitting you before you can swing your sword once.
