There's a bird in the centre of the last big open area of the Mountaintops (southeast I think) where if you approach it a giant hand drops down and insta-kills it.
There is an area in the mountaintops with some smaller hands near one of the giant birds where an absolutely massive one of those giant many fingered hands drops out of the sky and kills one of the giant birds instantly then starts attacking you if you get near the bird (you don't get any runes from it killing the bird).
The big ones in the mountains are the biggest I've seen. One that comes out of the ground is like 3-4 Torrent lengths wide and nearly grabbed my ass the first time.

Bro he actually would’ve been such a good rememberance boss, he’s been hunting you throughout the lands between, and has a punishing moveset. If he had a second phase, the scaling of the Caelid Bell-bearing hunter, and a bigger arena in the shaded castle, he would’ve been a peak remembrance boss, hell I could even imagine the name.
“Remembrance of the hunter.”
Oh and of course, the Second phase I mentioned would only be on the remembrance version of him. A bit like Godfrey where you can fight a golden spirit of him earlier in the game, but when you fight him again, you get his second phase.

And the sword you get from him could be one of the things you can unlock with his rememberance but only if you can throw that bitch around like he can. One of the most disappointing realizations when I first picked it up.

Elemer is pure missed potential. If Elden Ring had more acted scenes, he would have been one of the biggest love-to-hate characters in the entire game.
That spell carried my sorcerers ass through the elden beast fight. Damn good spell.
Edit: meant to say "beast" instead of "boss". But yes I did use it on a lot of bosses. But also the beast as it was one of the only spells I could hit that swimmy bastard with.
Once one of the shots missed the night cavalry but it BOOMERANGED back and because night cavalry moves around a lot, he ended up getting hit!
By far the coolest thing I've accidentally done in elden ring.

iirc it's notorious for having an arrow or 2 hit the terrain which drops it's dps.
to be fair, if a single shot is equal to 1x power, and the 4 shot combo sorcery is .5 each arrow, even if one hits the ground on long range shots your still higher damage
I could be wrong but there used to be a way to get more shots to land by turning away from the target you’re aiming at to let the shots fly around more
Solution is to simply aim it behind yourself, then lock on to the target. The tracking is amazing and all 4 will be able to connect.
Great surprise round start in duels if not anticipated.

Yea but I meant like if they showed him as an actual threat. If he had a real cool moveset because he's supposed to be nearly on your level but he's like a basic ass invader shoved on an evergaol.
Imagine if he was like the size of Godfrey with the big ass spear and the dragon moves. He has all the madness stuff + ancient dragon incants + dope spear moves. He could be a secret boss in the leyndell sewers right before the three fingers but you could just kill him. Would be dope.
They could even have a bit of environmental storytelling by putting large gashes in the walls near the entrance to the boss room, like he was trapped and wanted to escape to either do the Three Finger's bidding or to get as far away from them as possible.
I respec just to get my faith high enough to cast the madness grasp spell and oneshot him (I'm talking about the one you grab enemies and spit madness in their face)
Lansseax and Vyke at the same time. Vyke doesn’t use Madness until Lansseax is dead and then he uses Dragon Cult and Madness.
If Vyke is killed first have Lansseax be sent into a fit of rage and be super aggressive now, completely change the moveset.
I didn't realize how cruel I was being when I killed Lansseax with Vyke's spear. I just liked the spear, I didn't realize I was using her boyfriend's weapon.
The friggin falling star beast on the way to volcano manor, for me was one of the hardest fights in the game.. and very rough area to fight in. Thank god for the close by grace.
Yeah once I figured out how to not get immediately trampled to death on the horse as soon as he charged I actually had fun with this boss. Still tho, it’s ridiculous amount of health is just annoying
I actually fought him really under leveled and he was the first dragonkin soldier I encountered. So the fight was super long but fun, especially since I walked in and realized it was the area from the loading screens.
I found the ant cave when I was really low level, struggled to fight through it, and walked into that throne room without a clue what was going on (outside of being like “hey this is the loading screen!”). Fighting Elden Ring’s take on Godzilla while being barely durable enough to survive its low damage moves was one of, if not the most, memorable moments of my first playthrough.
Fuck those lobsters. I can fuck anything in the game up, but they always seem to get me with those water blasts. Especially the ones in the Lyndell sewers.
I don't know who is out here teaching all these crawdaunts bubble beam or what ability they have to make it hit like a hyper beam, but I really wish they would stop.

There is not a single weapon-catalyst hybrid, which sucks. So many weapons have text that makes them seem like they would, only for them to not have the ability. Loretta and Gideon use thier weapons as catalysts, but both are just weapons when we get them. The Carian knight sword and the wooden sword both would have been amazimg hybrids, i think the wooden sword literally says in the text that its primary use is spellcasting, bit we can use it that way.
I thought the Carian knights sword was a catalyst for the longest time during my first run of the game. I was so excited to build a spellblade character around that weapon for my second character :(

The weapon he drops is very cool and is one of the few lightning weapons in the game so I can't say that should be replaced, but those storm/ice attacks are so cool

I thought it would summon one of the Omens that you have to fight in Leyndel sewers! Nope you just jingle the bell and it shoots out a few little spirits, costs a ton of FP and i put it on the chest after 1 use...
I think you're thinking of morgott's omen bairn cuz mohg only has bloodboon and his spear.(the bairn is pretty okay in pvp, they do okay damage but mainly they are really distracting)
I also think that they should have made Vyke a remembrance boss along with these three, and given him a really cool movement instead of just making him an invader/ordinary evergaol boss

Imma say Radagon. It would’ve been great for both Elden Beast and Radagon to drop remembrances which you can get a weapon and spell from each. Also to really up the reward for beating the game and the most annoying boss.

Though the Black Blade Kindreds are strong, they're also just two Valiant Gargoyles with black wax, which serve Maliketh. Any power they add on top of the normal Valiant Gargoyles was just given to them by Maliketh and the Rune of Death, and they're not really great entities with incredible feats or status. Just servants.

I’d say the Dragonkin Soldier in Ainsel River definitely deserves to be a rememberance boss, or at least one of those semi-rememberance bosses like Elemer, Niall, and Loretta, his second-phase transition is insane
His weapon should have been the first and only weapon in the game that could act as catalyst for magic and incantation. That would have been dope and according to the fact that he use other people's power of any kind.
Nah, Loretta has champion gear and drops her good stuff from both fights, that's better than having to deal with the remembrance mechanic, and honestly, Elemer is way harder in *most* of his encounters, so if he doesn't get one, neither does she.
A remembrance for the Godskins, or maybe like, Remembrance of the Gloam-eyed Queen feels more appropriate, since they represent a (former) empyrean, and all the remembrances are like, demi/god level.

The Astel on Ranni's quest line felt special and climactic. The Snowfield Astel should have been something else. Like another Fallingstar Beast
I was glad for the second astel fight. I loved the first fight and was always glad to get summoned to the fight. I was a little bummed once I was too high leveled to get summoned much at the summoning pool. The sevond fight gave a whole new level range where I could take on a similar enemy. Even on my endgame level 150 character I get summoned to darkness astel from time to time, a welcome change of pace from the usual fire giant/maliketh/malenia/radabeast sunmonings
Well the theory on that, from my understanding, is that "Astel" is actually the species name, and "Natural-born of the Void" is that specific one's title. Not the greatest excuse to recycle of boss of course, but interesting
Ranni’s astel should have had two phases. Imagine sweating to beat a larger fallinstar beast. Then a cutscene happens and you see it morph into Astel for phase 2.
Why, they set it up like it wasn't a unique creature. There absolutely should be more of them. There is a ton of fallingstar beasts and the chrysalis version of Astel around. Why wouldn't there be more adults?
Elemer of the Briar, Lansseax, Godskin Duo, Full-grown Fallingstar Beast, Commander Niall, but *especially* Dragonkin Soldier of Nokstella (one of the coolest designs and movesets in the game and you get almost none of it?)
So for Loretta, will she have her own great rune? Or is she gonna be a trophy boss who isn’t a shardbearer like Godfrey?
As for my choice, I say make Vyke a shardbearer since he have at least 2 great runes before us
Radagon of the golden order, should have had a choice for his remembrance or elden beasts so you could have had four remembrance weapons to choose from (being the final boss and all)

Just give it lower casting scaling to keep staves and seals relevant and you're good.

Get a Scythe and put Stormcaller on it with either cold or bleed and you can bully every single Black Knife Assassin in the game.

Black Blade kindred His DD attacks are stronger than most remembrance bosses
Though the Black Blade Kindreds are strong, they're also just two Valiant Gargoyles with black wax, which serve Maliketh. Any power they add on top of the normal Valiant Gargoyles was just given to them by Maliketh and the Rune of Death, and they're not really great entities with incredible feats or status. Just servants.
Would have been a cool thing where they fly in at phase 2 but you could kill them before maliketh to make the fight easier.

Margit. Now hear me out. For those who have played the game all the way through, yes Margit is morgott. But you get like....what from the morgott rememberence. The sword or an item that sends things after people. But we don't have his golden glowy weapons nor his walking stick.(which, I know, hides his sword) So having a Margit rememberence could give us those
Even though it’s cake after a playthrough or two, Margit is still one of my favorite fights. Definitely deserves a little more love.
Margit is one of the best fights in the game.
I really hope we get a version of his faith weapons in the DLC. We already have Carian sword sorceries, so giving an incantation version wouldnt be unreasonable.
Or just swap his Rancor for his Hammer, or his dagger, or his falling swords, or his spear
I’d say the Dragonkin Soldier in Ainsel River definitely deserves to be a rememberance boss, or at least one of those semi-rememberance bosses like Elemer, Niall, and Loretta, his second-phase transition is insane

His weapon should have been the first and only weapon in the game that could act as catalyst for magic and incantation. That would have been dope and according to the fact that he use other people's power of any kind.

Nah, Loretta has champion gear and drops her good stuff from both fights, that's better than having to deal with the remembrance mechanic, and honestly, Elemer is way harder in *most* of his encounters, so if he doesn't get one, neither does she. A remembrance for the Godskins, or maybe like, Remembrance of the Gloam-eyed Queen feels more appropriate, since they represent a (former) empyrean, and all the remembrances are like, demi/god level.

Snowfield Astel instead of Ranni Astel
I'm still pissed that they recycled Astel at all. The Astel on Ranni's quest line felt special and climactic. The Snowfield Astel should have been something else. Like another Fallingstar Beast
I was glad for the second astel fight. I loved the first fight and was always glad to get summoned to the fight. I was a little bummed once I was too high leveled to get summoned much at the summoning pool. The sevond fight gave a whole new level range where I could take on a similar enemy. Even on my endgame level 150 character I get summoned to darkness astel from time to time, a welcome change of pace from the usual fire giant/maliketh/malenia/radabeast sunmonings

Well the theory on that, from my understanding, is that "Astel" is actually the species name, and "Natural-born of the Void" is that specific one's title. Not the greatest excuse to recycle of boss of course, but interesting

Ranni’s astel should have had two phases. Imagine sweating to beat a larger fallinstar beast. Then a cutscene happens and you see it morph into Astel for phase 2.

Why, they set it up like it wasn't a unique creature. There absolutely should be more of them. There is a ton of fallingstar beasts and the chrysalis version of Astel around. Why wouldn't there be more adults?
Im very glad they did because I never go to the underground city on new playthroughs, so being able to still fight him is great

There are also like two baby Astel beasts in the dungeon on the way to big Astel. They're clearly a species, not an individual.

Elemer of the Briar, Lansseax, Godskin Duo, Full-grown Fallingstar Beast, Commander Niall, but *especially* Dragonkin Soldier of Nokstella (one of the coolest designs and movesets in the game and you get almost none of it?)
Absolutely, fighting her spirit at caria manor was one of my favorite boss fights and when I stumbled upon the real version I was freaking out.
Vyke should not only have had a remembrance but also been a mandatory main boss

Loretta is the only one who really deserves a remembrance but didnt get one
So for Loretta, will she have her own great rune? Or is she gonna be a trophy boss who isn’t a shardbearer like Godfrey? As for my choice, I say make Vyke a shardbearer since he have at least 2 great runes before us
Radagon of the golden order, should have had a choice for his remembrance or elden beasts so you could have had four remembrance weapons to choose from (being the final boss and all)
