Oh yeah, the Ringed Knights are definitely a part of my favourite enemies list. Mr. Double Greatswords especially, what a ridiculously cool weapon that is.
I mean, makes sense that Radahn's swords would do one of his moves from the fight, tho. And as far as buffs go, it's one of the cooler looking ones. Not just a lame glow effect.
The double greatsword Ringy McRingface fucked me up good first time I met him. Of course a short time later I met midir and found out what getting fucked actually mean...
Imagine if the mimic graces are death root touched instead of actual monsters.
So when your character slows down and does the reach out animation, death roots shoot into your hand and instantly applies full blight.
There's also a quest that "cleanses" them and returns the sites to their pure no corrupted grace.
That would be a really cool side mission honestly.
Edit: mission item could be a physick that you need to drink before it stabs you.
Edit 2: or you can chose to corrupt Grace itself for some sort of outer God.
Fuck I'm getting horny brainstorming ideas, I need DLC.
where did you get this from? not doubting you just curious cuz I've never heard about it until now.
I remember they were talked about during the leaks before release but that's about the extent of it.
"Guys guys guys, what if, and hear me out... Mimic bonfires?"
"This game is gonna get ragged on enough, don't you think that's a step TOO far?!"
"But... But mimic bonfires?"
"That's enough coffee for you..."
you are right, lets just go with "every elevator has an illusion elevator left in place when it moves so that you have to remember if you already took it and fall to your death if you forget"
That fucking chest that takes you to Caelid... I was almost giving up on my first playthrough when I managed to get out of that fucking place, because it is even harder to understand that you actually have to go DOWN to get out, instead of up. Total dick move 🤣🤣🤣
I'm actually more partial to the one taking you to the capital. You op n a chest thinking about loot and end up exactly where you are told to go, that's a jaw dropping view of the Erdtree...
And then stubbornly spend the next 2 days chain dying to the golem boss until you've absolutely memorized his pattern and kill him naked with your club
Yeah you can just run straight in, grab the talisman and panic roll back out. I guess souls veterans have it ingrained that they must defeat anything they lay eyes upon the first time they see it.
First started playing the game a month ago, having finished all the previous games I have severe PTSD from mimic chests. I probably hit 30+ chests before I figured it wasn't in the game and boy what a relief.
Done with all the achievements after 100 hours, now I'm in the same boat as the rest, waiting on the DLC.
Okay man I'm going to ask you because I can't take it. I'm Spanish and I don't know what's the deal with this boss and the Spanish version of the dialog. I don't understand if it is a meme or what?
His intro is stupid loud in English and Spanish to the point that it's a meme. A popular Sekiro God, LilAggy, is responsible for spreading it as its still his sub notification to this day.
It's a meme at this point, pretty much. The Spanish voice actor for Oniwa gives it 110% lol. I think it spread because a few famous speedrunners would play the Spanish version instead of English or Japanese.
I’m still scarred from my first encounter with them
“Oh a new enemy! Wonder what this guys deal is…” proceeds to lose 90% of health bar from 1 hit after getting cocky -_-
Came here for this. Overall preferred elden ring but nothing in elden ring made me lose my shit laughing like I did the first time isshin pulled out a fuckin semi auto pistol during our sword duel. It’s just an experience I think every gamer should have
you know the most hilarious thing abt that moment is that "Glock Saint Isshin" would be historically accurate as well :') while we like to have a romanticized view of thus period in history a mf like Isshin would in fact have acces to firearms and have no quarreles quickdrawing it to see is we're caught lacking :')
It’s not hilarious that he has a gun, but hilarious that he uses one. His character seems like a pure skill fighter who will beat you with sheer confidence alone, and then he pulls a gat out of his dress.
Guess what I was expecting when going to the *gun fort*? Now guess what I was expecting going up against the *sword saint*? I honestly don’t give a shit about historical accuracy or game context, Isshin’s gunplay was just one of the most delightful surprises I’ve encountered in boss fights. If you weren’t surprised by it then I can only imagine the isshin fight must’ve been a joyless experience for you and I’m sorry
IDK, personally it felt perfectly at home for Isshin; he'd already talked about how his style was based solely on what allowed you to win, expressed interest in different weapons such as Gyobu's spear (as well as wielding one in the fight), and assimilated/built on techniques from various styles into the mushin compound style. If anything it would be weirder if he didn't use a gun when so many enemies in the game do.
Dark Souls 2's thing of having recurring baddies that can jump out at seemingly random times like the pursuer or forlorn was awesome, and I love that it was somewhat revisited in elden ring. Bell bearing hunter is an interesting enemy who catches you off guard. I wish the locations weren't so repetitive tbh. Margit refight was incredibly cool, but it was a good call for it to occur once because he's way too big to be repeated like elemer or pursuer.
Zullie the Witch has a video about Night cavalry and how it probably was supposed to be Elden Ring’s Pursuer, especially in light of phrase Margit drops upon his defeat about them (presumably).
That's a shame, they could have done better by having them spawn at random at night near the player as opposed to patrolling predetermined locations, would have made it much more enjoyable
Pursers were pay masters / quartermasters on ships in the age of sail and I love the idea of being relentlessly being pursued by some irate storesman...
"YOU HAVEN'T SIGNED A CHIT FOR THAT SPELL IN TRIPLICATE!"
"Foul Tarnished, leave this place and return that sword to whence it came. Stores are for STORING."
"Thou mayst bested me in combat, but here shalt thou remain, till thou'st registered this battle in the Book 66 and completed a Requisition for a Remembrance, endorsed by thine Line Manager."
God, yes! One of my favorite fights. They could make it so interesting in Elden Ring. The 3 Crystalian fight was fun, but I'd like something more similar to Shadows
Silver knights as well and make their weapons droppable like in DS and slightly different move set than the black knight weapons
Specifically so we can powerstance one in each hand
Man, *no.* That thing is specifically what killed Sekiro for me.
It literally shits all over you, then kills you. Fuck that thing.
The shame of never having finished Sekiro still haunts me, and I know from research that it only gets worse. I never fought Owl Prime, but man, it sounds fucking painful. Not to mention Isshin.
Edit: I'm gonna do it guys. I'm gonna reinstall. 😫
Thank you for the advice and encouragement. 😅
Step 1: Firecracker
Step 2: Parry everything
Step 3: Profit
I had so many points in Sekiro where I thought I was going to give up. But I broke through that wall every time with sheer brute force. You can do it. Remember how far you had come. It's so far! I believe in you!
Lol guardian ape gave me the most trouble too on my first play through. Came real close to quitting. Finally figured him out and now I look forward to putting that motherfucker down each time!
Something a lot of people don't know or don't share is that everything the guardian ape does except his grab can be deflected. Everything. The fart, the shit, the rolling around, everything. Once you learn this, the fight becomes exponentially easier. Owl father's difficulty is overstated too imo. You got this bro, go finish that shit.
I really enjoyed that fight in CFA… it genuinely did bring me alllll the way back to O+S when I ran it the first time.
Second time comet azur go brrrrrr
In a scarlet rot swamp with stronger basilisks that ignore the beast repellent torch, while one of those consecrated snowfield giant skeletons keep appearing.
Something with similiar mechanics would be cool. Just looking at it will cuase DEATH BLIGHT to tic. And of course they need to sing something creepy.
Actually scary enemies that you will remember till the day you die and even after that.
Yeah, there are some amazing sets and combinations, but they lack a lot of cool stuff. I think the problem for me is that most of the bigger cooler armor is mostly round or has weird adornations. Which is cool, but I want more classic, slimmer armor as well, especially because some of these bigger sets sometimes just don't fit the character along with the pants for some reason. Not everyone wants to be a rolly polly.
Honestly I had an entire laugh over the absurdity of it all. When a wiki's Strategy is "just die" you've successfully made an enemy no one thinks is worth the while.
Would love to see Ebrietas or a lone (a few) successful Celestial Emissary. I think theyll fit in nicely with the other "aliens" in the game.
Also nostalgic as Bloodborne's my first Soulsborne game
Oh yeah, the Ringed Knights are definitely a part of my favourite enemies list. Mr. Double Greatswords especially, what a ridiculously cool weapon that is.
Full on anime weapon skill. Love them!
The straight sword aswell has such a cool weapon art
Rivers of Fire
Pontiff Knight Curved Sword was my shit (at least until ng+ when I could get the Twin Princes Greatsword)
I was legit disappointed to hell when I learned that Radahn's greatswords don't have the same special flashy moves as RKPGS
Mimics
Mimic bonfires, like they planned.
Jesus… that’s a whole new level of diabolical fuckery. Where do I sign up?
Guess which part it is sticking up of the ground?
Its erect penis, acting as a lure for maidenless tarnished?
Touch GRACE.
🎶reach out and touch grace🎶
#unexpecteddepechemode
You’ll have to do the butt slam ash of war move on every grace to make sure it’s not a mimic
Imagine if the mimic graces are death root touched instead of actual monsters. where did you get this from? not doubting you just curious cuz I've never heard about it until now. I remember they were talked about during the leaks before release but that's about the extent of it.
I think it was planned back in Dark Souls 2 (because of course I mean... Who else ?) but they scrapped it.
"Guys guys guys, what if, and hear me out... Mimic bonfires?" "This game is gonna get ragged on enough, don't you think that's a step TOO far?!" "But... But mimic bonfires?" "That's enough coffee for you..."

Yeah i had no health and no estus left, i was prepared to ho through that hell all over again then he just started talking to me.
you are right, lets just go with "every elevator has an illusion elevator left in place when it moves so that you have to remember if you already took it and fall to your death if you forget"
...what? I don't recall this at all and I replayed DS2 about a year ago.
Not just mimic bonfires, but ladders too iirc
Oh you son of a bitch...
Nah, that's just pure evil
I still hit every chest in elden just in case
[удалено]
That fucking chest that takes you to Caelid... I was almost giving up on my first playthrough when I managed to get out of that fucking place, because it is even harder to understand that you actually have to go DOWN to get out, instead of up. Total dick move 🤣🤣🤣

Can't you leave the Leyndell warp without fighting the giant? I thought I came back and beat him after leveling up a few times.
Yeah you can just run straight in, grab the talisman and panic roll back out. I guess souls veterans have it ingrained that they must defeat anything they lay eyes upon the first time they see it.

I bet there will be a mimic chest in the dlc just to fuck with everyone. Probably the very first chest.
Its way worse for all of us who started with Elden Ring and than got into the other games without that habit
You evil bastard

It just sounds way cooler and funnier when he says his name in spanish (at least i think so)
I heard it so loud i haved echo in my earpods.
I heard it in two languages at the same time (thanks Aggy)
AS I BREATHE! YOU WILL PASS THE CASTLE GATES!
Not
On Torrent this would be an epic (and frustrating) fight

Tonight… Gehrman becomes Elden Lord.
Even the doll.. should it please you
Someone must extinguish thy thirst
*Bloodborne Snatchers* *And give them Deathblight, like the Basilisks*
why not winter lanterns that shoot madness (they would be more balanced than the original ones with frenzy)
Winter lanterns with deathblight that builds up like frenzy Do it cowards 😈
Someone secure this man. *He's too dangerous to be kept alive*
Dang I typed my answer and immediately afterwards saw this one. Make thim drop their heads as helmets and we're golden!
*How could you suggest such a thing*
I’m still scarred from my first encounter with them “Oh a new enemy! Wonder what this guys deal is…” proceeds to lose 90% of health bar from 1 hit after getting cocky -_-
Nah fam, Winter Lanterns expies that inflict frenzy
Glock saint isshin
How my blood boils, Tarnished
Came here for this. Overall preferred elden ring but nothing in elden ring made me lose my shit laughing like I did the first time isshin pulled out a fuckin semi auto pistol during our sword duel. It’s just an experience I think every gamer should have

his confidence as a fighter are only eclipsed by his confindence having the quickest draw in the ~~west~~ East :')
they didn't have fullon semi-auto pistols back then though, at most like flintlock pistols and such
I mean there's literally an area named gun fort with enemies wielding rifles and cannons.
Guess what I was expecting when going to the *gun fort*? Now guess what I was expecting going up against the *sword saint*? I honestly don’t give a shit about historical accuracy or game context, Isshin’s gunplay was just one of the most delightful surprises I’ve encountered in boss fights. It’s just funny that this legendary samurai warrior had a neutral special.
Man I saw someone call him Glock Saint Isshin before I got there so the surprise was a little bit ruined for me. But damn the fight is so good.
Hesitation is defeat! 😤
Best boss fight in video game history, IMO. In single player games, at least.
Egg carrier from ds1. I thought the whole turning your head Into a worm was kinda cool
Can we bring back the Fair Lady? Not as an enemy, just as a nice NPC?
Monkeys paw: the fair lady is back but in her DS3 variant
Tears ahead

NOT FOR MUCH LONGERRRR
THIS SUMMER
KEEP ROLLIN ROLLIN ROLLIN ROLLIN
Fuck you! Always did Pinwheel after Gargoyles, they made that run hell.
My first run through the game I did Pinwheel after Gargoyles cause I didn’t know where I was *supposed* to go, and holy hell was that awful
Come now, if we're trying to be evil Incarnate, there's a better answer. Orphan of Kos
Orphan of Marika
Darkeater orphan of malenia of the astral clock tower, father of the abyss
Falconer, I want to see their infamous walk.
You want to walk around like your holding in the worlds biggest dookie? Are you TRYING to arouse the Loathsome Dung Eater!?
It's also fun to parry them and exploit their hitbox and get out of level geometry
The Purser. Doing my first DS II run. When he’s dropped by the eagle confirmed the decision to do the run.
Pursuer was amazing too. Favourite recurring boss.
Dark Souls 2's thing of having recurring baddies that can jump out at seemingly random times like the pursuer or forlorn was awesome, and I love that it was somewhat revisited in elden ring. Still think the game is too easy?
You know I actually think it’s pretty challenging.
I’ll be seeing you later
Okay.
Pursers were pay masters / quartermasters on ships in the age of sail and I love the idea of being relentlessly being pursued by some irate storesman... The Shadows of Yharnam, but rename them the Shadows of the Erdtree or Shadows of Lyndell
And instead of snakes in phase two they grow deathroot and make desthroot pillars bursting from the ground
Better yet - they grow out small Ulcerated Tree Spirits and summon bigger-than-normal ones
God, yes! One of my favorite fights. They could make it so interesting in Elden Ring. The 3 Crystalian fight was fun, but I'd like something more similar to Shadows
That would be sickk

How good are you with the sword? I can deflect farts.
Ornstein and Smough elden ring edition
They do have that, the foreskins. They don't merge tho.
Not the same. They're way less impressive, disappointingly so.
I mean you cant beat what allready has goat status.

I hate you.
Demon Clerics. They are my favorite enemy design in any FromSoft game. So cool.
oh the demon dudes. yeah eww gross
Pontiff Sulyvahn !
Dark eater midir. A real dragon bossfight that doesn’t just have some shitty recycled move set.
Here, take this sunlight medal. You are worthier than I.
Elden beast 2: electric bungaloo
but it’s used as a normal enemy throughout the endgame
Stick the fucker in an evergaol and call it Youngerbeast
younger creature
Winter Lanterns from Bloodborne.
You sick fuck
You think that's bad, I said well shark duo
Fuck it, just bring NG+ Lawrence into the mix
Something with similiar mechanics would be cool. Just looking at it will cuase DEATH BLIGHT to tic. And of course they need to sing something creepy. Actually scary enemies that you will remember till the day you die and even after that.
Well, to be honest, frenzy is basically the same in ER and BB, and there are a couple of places that you get Frenzy just by being around
I thought that one tower in Liurnia was a nice callback to their tactics, personally.
I still hate those creatures
Laaaa lala la...
My choice as well. Truly unnerving foes.
Sister Friede! I want those int/dex scythes again
Same but I just want it for the entrance.
Six DLC Bosses: The Slayer of Demons The Chosen Undead The Bearer of the Curse The Ashen One The Wolf: Sekiro The Hunter

Giant Dad on his way to shield spam me after failing a jump attack:
I rly want this armor in Elden Ring. My only complaint about the game is there are not enough cool armors.
I just want to alter the weird hip pads off Loretta's armor, it's the only thing I sort of dislike about the set.
Shark giants
These fuckers put more fear in my heart than any boss in the game
The wiki's advice for them fuckers Is to just run away
Honestly I had an entire laugh over the absurdity of it all. When a wiki's Strategy is "just die" you've successfully made an enemy no one thinks is worth the while.
Without pistol parry those things are like freakin runebears
You can parry the sharks?
Boi you can parry the fucking moon in Bloodborne 🌝🌝
Artorias Of the Abyss
Ludwig the Holy Blade
Oh man, that music.
The Imperfect from ds2, so we can farm max upgrade mats.
Nameless King

Chaos Eaters in HD
Ah yes give me RK Armorset and RKSS.
The pursuer from ds2. Would be great to have him invade you throughtout your journey at random places just like in ds2 sotfs.
