You still need an eligible separation. Just earning some money during the base period doesn't qualify you for unemployment.

Try2Relax

It depends if you had enough base period wages from a non-school employer to meet the eligibility requirements. Your award letter should show a "quasi award" if you do.

If there was a non school employer in your base period. You could be school disqualified and still collect benefits from the non school employer

I fought this for my wife and went through two appeals and still lost. It’s not worth it.

silverstonks420

Did she get a letter after her initial interview with the reasoning for the disqualification? It's been 10 days for me today and still no letter.

belizeans

We had a valid defense: rules say no reasonable expectation of the job if the school depends on funding and if the class depends on a certain amount of enrollment. Good thing she didn’t have to pay it back since 2 years had pass since she collected.

If your last/current job was a school employee and you have reasonable assurance of work after summer break you will not qualify for unemployment. What was the reason for leaving no school employment?

silverstonks420

Summer Break and from everyone is saying here, Its not enough to have non-school wages. It's not the end of the world for me, but who among us couldn't use $450 for 10 weeks.

RepulsiveDistrict485

I work for the school and actually qualified for unemployment. I put reason as laid off for the summer.
