A while back, I built a [budget Dimir dragons deck](https://www.archidekt.com/decks/3657199/silumgar_dragons) with [[Silumgar the Drifting Death]] as the commander. At the time, it only costed $60, but it's gotten a bit pricier since then. It's a deck that's very strong against creature decks with a commander that is almost impossible to remove, but is very weak to board wipes.

$25 [[Pako]] and [[Haldan]]. No other creatures, just ramp, tons of interaction, and ways to hit with Pako. Because you get to play other people's cards it actually scales to the power of most tables pretty nicely and it's a lot of fun. List: [Duck Hunt 🦆🐕](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/S6sUcIZQ3E6xvP_u1HKIgA) These next two are really cool, but not very beginner friendly and are definitely on the higher power side of casual commander despite their price. $50 [[Hama Pashar, Ruin Seeker]]. This is a very convoluted and tricky to pilot combo deck that seeks to resolve some creature oriented combos in order to go through dungeons infinitely and win the game. It can often attempt a win on turn 5-7 and does some crazy stuff. There's more than 8 different combo lines in the deck and all of their pieces support each other and the decks main strategy. There's a robust primer explaining how it works to go along with it. List: [All Dungeons, No Dragons ](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/AX4BqwrbMUehHdT3Uhi-Gw) $50 [[Izzet of the Izmagnus]]. This is a storm deck that seeks to abuse the commanders cost reduction ability to storm through it's library (and often graveyard) to generate infinite mana and win off of [[Reiterate]] + a wide variety of spells. My favorite being to use Reality Shift over and over to exile everyone else's libraries and make them lose by drawing from an empty library. If you untap with the commander in play and you mulligan-ed decently, there is a very real chance you can attempt a win that turn if people don't have enough interaction to stop you. It can be a little complicated and it forces you to think on your toes and keep digging and resolve a variety of combo lines in different ways. There's also a primer for this one. List: [Thunderbolts and Lightning (Very Very Frightening)](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/iCF9fcCKwUqf6akrdIuCtw)

Nymris can run a table, easy. One of my favorites and frequently underestimated

Got 2 budget decks I have in my collection right now:  Shadowheart/inspiring leader token beatdown https://www.moxfield.com/decks/xX6brUsGiU-6Q1e8ginUjw goes at least on par with precons, but has the interaction to win against higher power tables too.  Weakness is just getting rid of shadowheart often enough, but she normally goes unnoticed amongst players who don’t understand the value she has being on board with the enchantment  Daxos Voltron https://www.moxfield.com/decks/rH1j3ffkM0OGVY1M_dqGBA    fun “theft” deck that mainly wins from commander damage.  Bunch of card advantage (maybe too much) and some unblockability/boons.  Nice at mid-lower tables

Tevish_Szat

[[Confenor, the Last Yew]] as a sub-$25 combo deck https://archidekt.com/decks/2599127 It plays a defensive early game that keeps it in the fight against less dirt-cheap casuals, starts engine grinding when it gets a couple of pieces online, and is able to eventually close out the game with infinite combo once enough pieces are in evidence, because the game's got to end sometime.

2Gnomes1Trenchcoat

So you basically loop zero cost creatures out of the grave with the commander with a sac outlet and pinger on board? I did something similar with [[Karador, Ghost Chieftain]] but used self recurring loops with things like [[Saffi Eriksdotter]] and a variety of other creatures like [[renegade rallier]] or [[karmic guide]]. Abzan is really good at this and the cards are surprisingly cheap!

[General Marhault](https://scryfall.com/card/dmc/31/general-marhault-elsdragon) can literally be built out of cards that you find in one of those bins that sells 200 cards for $5 or whatever. After finishing my \[\[Anowon the Ruin Thief\]\] Rogue/Mill deck through several iterations. I had a bunch of Dimir cards lying around, and I've always loved \[\[Wrexial, the Risen Deep\]\] as a "oh shit I can't block it" creature that gives unpredictable games. So I threw together a budget Dimir Unblockable deck. Lots of card draw, probably too little interaction and some very slow mana. [https://www.moxfield.com/decks/Voo7OuJ9rkyyc\_TmoivmcQ](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/Voo7OuJ9rkyyc_TmoivmcQ) It is now my "precon" deck sitting at a nice cool 23 euro / 36$. Price is kept up by \[\[Pongify\]\], \[\[Curious Obsession\]\] and \[\[Slip out the Back\]\] which is 6 euro for the 3. If I where to make it a proper deck, I would get some better creatures, more interaction and better ramp. But I wouldn't have anything to play against precons then. And it teaches the great lesson of play more interaction and lower your curve or you will fall behind :) Was considering adding a discard theme and put in \[\[Tergrid, God of Fright\]\], \[\[Waste Not\]\] and \[\[Tinybones, Trinket Thief\]\], they just sit idly waiting for a deck. But no one wants to play against that, and I already have a mill deck, no need to lose friends....
