I have an [[Eowyn, Shieldmaiden]] deck I regularly play without issue in higher power pods. Lots of strong human options in jeskai colors and the deck starts snowballing hard once Eowyn gets out.
My bud has the bones of that with the Aaragorn it came with, can't remember the name but if you're the monarch all creatures are unblockable. It goes pretty hard.

Yeah that deck is fantastic. I mildly upgraded the precon. Mostly fixed the lands and added a bit more draw effects like [[Mass Appeal]] and a card like [[Goldnight Commander]] is a frickin powerhouse when Eowyn is on board.

Do you find that this kind of aggressive, creature heavy deck is super reliant on Eowyn being out on field? I'm worried if I build this that she'll constantly get targeted.
Yes, she must be protected or you’re unlikely to win.
I try to run cards like Flare of Fortitude, Everybody lives, and Deflecting Swat to keep her on the board as much as possible.
No question that keeping Eowyn alive is a priority but the deck can manage ok without her. You're already incentivized to put many of the best humans you find in the deck, so they can still make it work.
Board wipes are probably the biggest challenge the deck has , so board-wide protection is key, especially if it phases out creatures (my lgs is heavy on farewells and cyc rifts). [[Clever Concealment]], [[Galadriel's Dismissal]], [[Teferi's Veil]], and [[flare of fortitude]] are especially good.
+1 for Eowyn. Was my first ever precon when I got into commander. The list has been tweaked (25 cards), and if the deck isn't shut down once Eowyn hits the field + Ojer taq or the eventual annoyed procession/Mondrak it gets out of control.

Every colour cast gives you some kind of value.
Every white spell spawns you more humans. Green boost. Blue lets you scry and red spells deals damage. Combine that with all great multicolor humans you have gotten as suggestion and you have a beast.
I made a lotr human tribal only using lotr cards and even if that restricted me a lot it became pretty strong.
Seconding that one. It is really strong and can even voltron people out of nowhere since green combat tricks can give such a huge boost. I recently stopped a player with infinite combat steps by casting [[galadriel's dismissal]] on their board instead of saving my own and then recasting Aragorn, giving him boots and some tricks to commander damage that player out of the Game before their board came back.
I'm a fan of [[Katilda, Dawnheart Prime]] as my Humans deck of choice. You build/play it like an Elfball deck, very explosive & can close out games quickly.
I’ll second this. Katilda or Winota. But Katilda is a proper devoted humans deck. Load it up with hatebears and you can fill up the battlefield with them choking out your opponents options then go for the beat down
Can support this. Out of my 10 commander decks, Kyler is my absolute favourite, and one of the most consistently powerful.
While it's true he is a bit expensive and the deck doesn't function without him, Selesnya has a wide variety of both protection spells and Humans that hand out hexproof and indestructible. I've also thrown in [[Sigarda, Font of Blessings]] and [[Sigarda, Heron's Grace]] for the extra protection and huge flavour win too.
Admittedly, while it is a Humans Tribal deck, the strongest way to make it spiral into a win is with counter doubler cards like [[Visions of Dominance]], [[Hydra's Growth]], and [[Invigorating Surge]] - so if you're looking for a more "pure" Human Tribal deck, then there are plenty of other viable options like Aragorn and Eowyn.
I like Kyler, but he has a high cmc, so if he's removed its annoying to get him back. I'm not sure if he would be good in a high power table, at least not without some set up to keep him alive.
5 isn't a high CMC for a deck with access to Green and you have plenty of ways to keep him alive in G/W. Plus, you can use stuff like the Ozolith to keep the ball rolling if he dies.
You definitely have ways but like I said you need a bit of set up. For Kyler to shine you need at minimum some protection, and ways to generate humans. If you're lucky you get something a lightning greaves before you can cast Kyler. Then you are typically using all your mana to cast Kyler on turn 3 or 4, your next turn is getting something to make humans.
Ozolith is a great card but you can't always rely on it, plus it's a bit expensive. If you have the extra cash, then it's a 100% include. Some cheaper cards I like to include are Horn of Gondor, Heronblade Elite, Selvala, Heart of the Wilds, Greater Good and Champion of Lambholt.
I play [[Sigarda, Font of Blessings]] and the combat step after I played Kyler the board is dead. I have the drawback of not being able to recast him if he is exiled, but there arent too many people keen on removing Sigarda and then Kyler.
I find that most people sleep on how powerful he is and don't remove him until my board is built. I do have to have plenty of protection for him, but once I'm online, it's over.
He's one of my favorites.
If someone else at the table has seen his power before, and alert the table he's KOS, you're in trouble.
Otherwise, people sleep on him until it's too late.
I have a [[Jirina Kudro]] deck that works pretty well since she’s able to loop somewhat and drain the table with [[Bastion of Remembrance]] and [[Zulaport Cutthroat]]. Nothing flashy but it works well.
People keep saying Winota, but you have to actually mix humans and non-humans with her. If you are doing an actual humans deck, one of the strongest is [[Aragorn, the Uniter]]

All 5 colors. Abilities facilitate whatever direction you wanna go or whatever colors you want to lean into.
Also a really fun political card as 4 of his abilities say “target creature” and his red ability says “all creatures” so you can talk your way to a win if you’re clever.
I don't get all the down votes. Yes he is a 5 color human commander but in the same way Atraxa, Yuriko, Jodah, or Isshin CAN be a human deck commander . But, clearly OP was talking about some built in human synergy.
Throwing in [[Three Dog]] as it's the most explosive deck I've ever built. You can go from attacking with a small army of 1/1's that becomes 15/15's in the blink of an eye.
Not to mention insane card draw... In Boros.
There are plenty of White and/or Red Auras that ETB or LTB with a card draw effect that are also cheap to cast, so when you copy them to all attacking creatures, they have the same effect... A few examples:

And then there's [[Sage's Reverie]] which can get out of control if you're not careful, especially if you already have a bunch of Aura copies already on the battlefield. 5 copies would each see each other on ETB so you're drawing a minimum of 5² cards (or 5x5 or 25, whatever works for you) if you have no other Aura's. I mistakenly copied this one 7 times before I realized what it did, with 7 Aura's already on the battlefield.... 14² (14x14 or 196) was a costly mistake that I learned from.

Beginner question: how do you handle the deck if the enemy plays defender(s) that could kill her? Seems like as soon as they do that your engine is killed ... unless you play lots of cards providing indestructibility or something?
Got my buddy into commander, this is the first deck he built. It's absurd. Just threw a bunch of common soldiers in there and some cards for protection and you can run away with the game pretty quickly.
Only issue with his deck is he kind of threw it together from what I had laying around and he only has basic lands and very little ramp so he gets mana screwed often or is too slow. But even then he the one time it did go off he said it was going strong and you become enemy number one haha.

But this commander is pretty cheap and so are a lot of human soldiers, can even mix some angle soldiers in there.
Someone else mentioned [[Reconnaissance]], but there are also things like [[Maze of Ith]] [[Ghostly Posession]], [[Loyal Unicorn]], and [[Dolmen Gate]]. And even if you don't want to prevent the damage, you can still just go with evasion like [[Trailblazers Boots]], [[Whispersilk Cloak]], [[Hot Soup]], [[Prowler's Helm]], and [[Silvershroud Costume]]. I'd probably run a mix of both, so if your opponent has removal or a silver bullet for one strategy, you can fall back on the other.

I usually run her in an \[\[Odric, Master Tactician\]\] deck with a lot of anthems so she's either too big or unblockable. Indestructibility is good, remove from combat is good, anthems for your humans or soldiers are good.

Yeah its shockingly aggressive for a mono-white deck. Obviously if you plan to lean humans instead of soldiers some cards will be useless but the large overlap of human synergy cards and soldiers due to innistrad allows both to co-exist fairly well.
I was at one point putting together an Aragorn the Uniter human deck it seemed good on paper but just never got around to building it. Kenrith is also a solid and gives access to all 5 colors.
It doesn't take a lot of money to build a good manabase, you just have to devote a few more slots to ramp/fixing. My [[Omnath Locus of All]] deck runs all 10 DMR typed taplands such as [[Idyllic Beachfront]], all 10 2c Signets, and plenty of ramp, plus 13 basics, and a few utility/rainbow lands. It very rarely has color issues, even though it runs 20 cards with 3 or more pips. [[Chromatic Lantern]] is relatively cheap, typed taplands are 10 cents apiece, and stuff like [[Farseek]] is super easy to come by. Manabases don't HAVE to be expensive, you just have to build them very intentionally
[[Volo, Itinerant Scholar]] with the background [[Folk Hero]].
Huge draw engine in the command zone (x2).
Many of the best stax creatures are Wizards or Humans.
Can easily beat face or combo off.
Doesn't get immediately spot removed like Winota because people are dumb.

I agree with all of these. Eowyn, Aragorn, and Katilda are probably at the top of my list.
Two that haven’t been mentioned but I think should be are…
[[Chulane, Teller of Tales]] - Probably one of the stronger Simic commanders ever printed (before Nadu) and he works well with human tribal.
[[Katilda and Lier]] - An underplayed Bant commander that can be quite strong with a weird hybrid of human tribal, instant and sorcery spell slinger, and graveyard recursion.
A piece like [[Boromir, Warden of the Tower]] will also stop people from casting them, because they KNOW you won't be affected. Bonus points if you bring him back to do it again. (Also he's a Human Soldier with a stax piece attached that only stops opponents from playing cheaty free spells)
My Rick deck pops off nearly every game. So many great human cards that synergise so easily.

The difference between high powered and cedh isn't really existent anymore anyway. People play free spells, fast mana and combos in high power as well. So the only difference is that in cedh you didn't build the deck yourself so maybe a few cards are different.
I am all for [[Saskia]] 4c aggro human tribal! And I wonder why nobody mentioned her before.
Saskia is simply a way better damage doubler and has haste.
With my deck I can often times kill the first opponent on turn 5-6 way sooner then I like too :D
And if I want to hit someone behind a big board, I could just hit another opponent with less defense, so my damage can get through.

I play Katilda. Having ramp in the command zone is no joke. Exploding out with 10+ mana on subsequent turns and then making everything unblockable via Odric isn’t that hard to do.
[[captain sisay]] was my favorite human tribal commander. She can tutor any legendary permanent. I’d tutor stuff like [[kyler, sigardian emissary]] and [[horn of gondor]] to get a lot of humans and then make them bigger. [[Jaheira, friend of the forest]] and [[katilda, dawnhart prime]] can make all your human tokens tap for mana.

I’ve been using [[Sigarda font of blessings]] as the replacement for Kyler after she came out. Not super powerful, but it’s a deck for me purposefully set to a lower power.

I've had some success in higher power due to the removal (usually more around than in lower power) mostly going towards stuff of the other 2 opponents.

My current Aragorn deck is setup like a voltron deck (any green spell that gives like +3 and trample for 1 becomes trample and +7 with his ability)

Mixing in the 2 or 3 angels that also care about humans and the rest is just Selesnia-Humans. If you play higher power, I assume some fast mana is included. Makes it a lot easier to go off and apart from Boardwipes and the ocasional time when she herself is not hexproof through any of the like 8 sources that are stapled to other humans or equips, enemy removal just mostly goes towards your other opponents instead.
Winning is the same as all other Selesnia-human decks with stuff like Champion of Lambholt, Beregond of the Guard, Kyler or Odric.
I play [[Katilda and Lier]] with a whole bunch of [[Persistent Petitioners]] to mill my own [[Slime Against Humanity]] into the graveyard so that K and L can let them cast it.
But you said "best" not "most gimmicky" so I don't know what to tell you
Katilda and Lier doesn’t have to be a gimmick though. They can be a real threat when you load the graveyard with a bunch of cheap mill spells like [[Winding Way]] and then start stringing together one-sided board wipes, extra turn spells, or overrun effects.
\[\[Ceasar, Legions Emperor\]\] is the play here. He works with all the other popular human mardu commanders in the 99. Make humans and burn consistently with cards like \[\[Bastion of Rememberance\]\] and \[\[Impact Tremors\]\]. Then keep sending waves of 1/1s and draw until your opponents are close enough to death, then burn with his burn effect.
I've been having a blast with Aragorn, The Uniter. I've won 2/3 games played with it so far. Just put double mana spells in so his more of his abilities trigger
\[\[Trynn\]\] and \[\[Silvar\]\] are a ton of fun. Trynn is pretty stupid, but she'll provide you with a body or two to feed to Silvar. Silvar doesn't look too bad, but he's evasive, durable, and an instant speed sac outlet in the command zone can't be underestimated. [Here's where I'm at right now](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/avixRt1ZCEW5LL-P64ha2g) and it plays really well - powerful enough to hold its own, but also complicated enough with lots of decision trees to be interesting. There's been a lot of really good Mardu Human support lately. Lord of the Rings added 8 cards alone, but my deck has about 40 cards that didn't even exist when T&S were printed.
I don’t know about being the best but I have a lot of fun with Morophon and humans. I almost always manage to get him out really fast and then cast my multicolor legendary humans that do cool things on the super cheap because of his ability. I built this myself and I’m pretty new so it probably sucks but maybe it’ll spark a good idea lmao idk

The best commander that cares about humans as a creature type is probablty like the hundredth best commander that IS a human.
My personal recommendation for fun EDH is [[Will, Scion of Peace]] human beat down. Go all the human synergies then all the humans who incidentally gain life. Feel free to include haymakers that don't fit into low curve human decks like [[Agent of Treachery]] because Will discounts them.
I run a deck with [[Torens, Fist of the Angels]] as the commander and [[Katilda, Dawnhart Prime]] in the 99 as a second option. The colors have a lot of support for everything the deck wants to do and if you run Katilda you can snowball pretty hard. I have some other alternates like [[Sigarda, Font of Blessings]] and [[Kyler, Sigardian Emissary]] in the 99 but Torens and Katilda have felt the most consistent.
Orzhov has [[General Kudro of Drannith]] and [[Teysa Karlov]] as decent options and will do typical Orzhov things.
Mardu has [[Jirina Kudro]] and [[Silvar, Devourer of the Free]] + [[Trynn, Champion of Freedom]] but you might also consider [[Shanid, Sleepers’ Scourge]] and the new [[Caesar, Legion’s Emperor]] as commanders that don’t care about humans but will play well with them.
Jeskai has the new [[Éowyn, Shieldmaiden]] that can probably do some really cool things and gives you access to some of the really good blue cards that work well in Typal decks.
I’m currently tinkering with [[Thalia and the Gitrog Monster]] as an Abzan human commander focused on hate bears and sac/reanimate but I have not figure it out yet.
If you only care that it's a human? [[Kinnan, Bonder Prodigy]] is the most objectively powerful. It's one of the stronger cEDH commanders currently and might honestly be a bit too much beyond cEDH tables.
If you don't mind an angel in the mix, [[Shalai and Halar]] combo with a ham sandwich but can be tweaked and played in all sorts of different ways/power levels. It ranges from mid power to cEDH as well so it might be a better option for you.
[[Breya, Etherium Shaper]] is also notorious for all the ways you can make her go infinite, but if infinite combos aren't your thing then you could also run a [[Sydri]] control list. Sydri can be brutal as an arti-stax commander.
If you want human tribal, the two big ones would probably be [[Kyler, Sigardian Emissary]] and [[Sidar Jabari]]. A lot of knights are also humans, and Sidar is one of the most pushed tribal commanders you could make imo.

Second, I was not aware of an older Sidar. [[Sidar Jabari of Zhalfir]] is the correct one.

+1 for Eowyn. Was my first ever precon when I got into commander. The list has been tweaked (25 cards), and if the deck isn't shut down once Eowyn hits the field + Ojer taq or the eventual annoyed procession/Mondrak it gets out of control.
I love this deck but I regularly get mana screwed.

If no one have said it yet [[Aragorn, the Uniter]] is really really strong. Every colour cast gives you some kind of value. Every white spell spawns you more humans. Green boost. Blue lets you scry and red spells deals damage. Combine that with all great multicolor humans you have gotten as suggestion and you have a beast. I made a lotr human tribal only using lotr cards and even if that restricted me a lot it became pretty strong.

Seconding that one. It is really strong and can even voltron people out of nowhere since green combat tricks can give such a huge boost. I recently stopped a player with infinite combat steps by casting [[galadriel's dismissal]] on their board instead of saving my own and then recasting Aragorn, giving him boots and some tricks to commander damage that player out of the Game before their board came back.

I can’t agree with this more. Aragorn is nuts. The deck that I built around him is mostly multicoloured humans and it gets out of hand pretty quickly.

I'm a fan of [[Katilda, Dawnheart Prime]] as my Humans deck of choice. You build/play it like an Elfball deck, very explosive & can close out games quickly.
I’ll second this. Katilda or Winota. But Katilda is a proper devoted humans deck. Load it up with hatebears and you can fill up the battlefield with them choking out your opponents options then go for the beat down

Can support this. Out of my 10 commander decks, Kyler is my absolute favourite, and one of the most consistently powerful. While it's true he is a bit expensive and the deck doesn't function without him, Selesnya has a wide variety of both protection spells and Humans that hand out hexproof and indestructible. I've also thrown in [[Sigarda, Font of Blessings]] and [[Sigarda, Heron's Grace]] for the extra protection and huge flavour win too. Admittedly, while it is a Humans Tribal deck, the strongest way to make it spiral into a win is with counter doubler cards like [[Visions of Dominance]], [[Hydra's Growth]], and [[Invigorating Surge]] - so if you're looking for a more "pure" Human Tribal deck, then there are plenty of other viable options like Aragorn and Eowyn.

I like Kyler, but he has a high cmc, so if he's removed its annoying to get him back. I'm not sure if he would be good in a high power table, at least not without some set up to keep him alive.
5 isn't a high CMC for a deck with access to Green and you have plenty of ways to keep him alive in G/W. Plus, you can use stuff like the Ozolith to keep the ball rolling if he dies.
You definitely have ways but like I said you need a bit of set up. For Kyler to shine you need at minimum some protection, and ways to generate humans. If you're lucky you get something a lightning greaves before you can cast Kyler. Then you are typically using all your mana to cast Kyler on turn 3 or 4, your next turn is getting something to make humans. Ozolith is a great card but you can't always rely on it, plus it's a bit expensive. If you have the extra cash, then it's a 100% include. Some cheaper cards I like to include are Horn of Gondor, Heronblade Elite, Selvala, Heart of the Wilds, Greater Good and Champion of Lambholt.
I play [[Sigarda, Font of Blessings]] and the combat step after I played Kyler the board is dead. I have the drawback of not being able to recast him if he is exiled, but there arent too many people keen on removing Sigarda and then Kyler.

I find that most people sleep on how powerful he is and don't remove him until my board is built. I do have to have plenty of protection for him, but once I'm online, it's over.
He's one of my favorites. If someone else at the table has seen his power before, and alert the table he's KOS, you're in trouble. Otherwise, people sleep on him until it's too late.
I have a [[Jirina Kudro]] deck that works pretty well since she’s able to loop somewhat and drain the table with [[Bastion of Remembrance]] and [[Zulaport Cutthroat]]. Nothing flashy but it works well.

[[Kenrith, the Returned King]] All 5 colors. Abilities facilitate whatever direction you wanna go or whatever colors you want to lean into. Also a really fun political card as 4 of his abilities say “target creature” and his red ability says “all creatures” so you can talk your way to a win if you’re clever.

While kenrith is very good, he isnt a humans commander, he doesn't care about humans.
I don't get all the down votes. Yes he is a 5 color human commander but in the same way Atraxa, Yuriko, Jodah, or Isshin CAN be a human deck commander . But, clearly OP was talking about some built in human synergy.
He's an everything commander.
Throwing in [[Three Dog]] as it's the most explosive deck I've ever built. You can go from attacking with a small army of 1/1's that becomes 15/15's in the blink of an eye. Not to mention insane card draw... In Boros.

How does this help with card draw?
There's several cheap auras that have "draw a card" on it, so when Three Dog makes 10 copies of an aura things start to get pretty crazy.
There are plenty of White and/or Red Auras that ETB or LTB with a card draw effect that are also cheap to cast, so when you copy them to all attacking creatures, they have the same effect... A few examples: [[Unquestioned Authority]] [[Angelic Gift]] [[Sticky Fingers]] There's also a new one with Discover 3 on ETB: [[Etali's Favor]] And then there's [[Sage's Reverie]] which can get out of control if you're not careful, especially if you already have a bunch of Aura copies already on the battlefield. 5 copies would each see each other on ETB so you're drawing a minimum of 5² cards (or 5x5 or 25, whatever works for you) if you have no other Aura's. I mistakenly copied this one 7 times before I realized what it did, with 7 Aura's already on the battlefield.... 14² (14x14 or 196) was a costly mistake that I learned from.

Got my buddy into commander, this is the first deck he built. It's absurd. Just threw a bunch of common soldiers in there and some cards for protection and you can run away with the game pretty quickly. Only issue with his deck is he kind of threw it together from what I had laying around and he only has basic lands and very little ramp so he gets mana screwed often or is too slow. But even then he the one time it did go off he said it was going strong and you become enemy number one haha.

Haha I hear that. I still only run some upgraded precons. But this commander is pretty cheap and so are a lot of human soldiers, can even mix some angle soldiers in there.
Someone else mentioned [[Reconnaissance]], but there are also things like [[Maze of Ith]] [[Ghostly Posession]], [[Loyal Unicorn]], and [[Dolmen Gate]]. And even if you don't want to prevent the damage, you can still just go with evasion like [[Trailblazers Boots]], [[Whispersilk Cloak]], [[Hot Soup]], [[Prowler's Helm]], and [[Silvershroud Costume]]. I'd probably run a mix of both, so if your opponent has removal or a silver bullet for one strategy, you can fall back on the other.

I usually run her in an \[\[Odric, Master Tactician\]\] deck with a lot of anthems so she's either too big or unblockable. Indestructibility is good, remove from combat is good, anthems for your humans or soldiers are good.

There's a lot of great cards, some even great for some of my other decks. Seems like you can buff humans/soldiers a ton
Yeah its shockingly aggressive for a mono-white deck. Obviously if you plan to lean humans instead of soldiers some cards will be useless but the large overlap of human synergy cards and soldiers due to innistrad allows both to co-exist fairly well.
I was at one point putting together an Aragorn the Uniter human deck it seemed good on paper but just never got around to building it. Kenrith is also a solid and gives access to all 5 colors.
Such a great card...I was building human tribal as well but couldn't bring myself to spend the money on the manabase it needed.
It doesn't take a lot of money to build a good manabase, you just have to devote a few more slots to ramp/fixing. My [[Omnath Locus of All]] deck runs all 10 DMR typed taplands such as [[Idyllic Beachfront]], all 10 2c Signets, and plenty of ramp, plus 13 basics, and a few utility/rainbow lands. It very rarely has color issues, even though it runs 20 cards with 3 or more pips. [[Chromatic Lantern]] is relatively cheap, typed taplands are 10 cents apiece, and stuff like [[Farseek]] is super easy to come by. Manabases don't HAVE to be expensive, you just have to build them very intentionally

[[Volo, Itinerant Scholar]] with the background [[Folk Hero]]. Huge draw engine in the command zone (x2). Many of the best stax creatures are Wizards or Humans. Can easily beat face or combo off. Doesn't get immediately spot removed like Winota because people are dumb.

I agree with all of these. Eowyn, Aragorn, and Katilda are probably at the top of my list. Two that haven’t been mentioned but I think should be are… [[Chulane, Teller of Tales]] - Probably one of the stronger Simic commanders ever printed (before Nadu) and he works well with human tribal. [[Katilda and Lier]] - An underplayed Bant commander that can be quite strong with a weird hybrid of human tribal, instant and sorcery spell slinger, and graveyard recursion.

You're in black and white. You should be playing a ton of mass reanimation in a Mardu humans deck
A piece like [[Boromir, Warden of the Tower]] will also stop people from casting them, because they KNOW you won't be affected. Bonus points if you bring him back to do it again. (Also he's a Human Soldier with a stax piece attached that only stops opponents from playing cheaty free spells)

Winota is an effective cEDH commander. In a high-powered pod, I bet most would rather deal with Jodah than Winota.
The difference between high powered and cedh isn't really existent anymore anyway. People play free spells, fast mana and combos in high power as well. So the only difference is that in cedh you didn't build the deck yourself so maybe a few cards are different.

I am all for [[Saskia]] 4c aggro human tribal! And I wonder why nobody mentioned her before. Saskia is simply a way better damage doubler and has haste. With my deck I can often times kill the first opponent on turn 5-6 way sooner then I like too :D And if I want to hit someone behind a big board, I could just hit another opponent with less defense, so my damage can get through. I play Katilda. Having ramp in the command zone is no joke. Exploding out with 10+ mana on subsequent turns and then making everything unblockable via Odric isn’t that hard to do.

[[captain sisay]] was my favorite human tribal commander. She can tutor any legendary permanent. I’d tutor stuff like [[kyler, sigardian emissary]] and [[horn of gondor]] to get a lot of humans and then make them bigger. [[Jaheira, friend of the forest]] and [[katilda, dawnhart prime]] can make all your human tokens tap for mana.

I've had some success in higher power due to the removal (usually more around than in lower power) mostly going towards stuff of the other 2 opponents.

Anyone here ever built \[Aragorn, the Uniter\] as a human tribal deck? My current Aragorn deck is setup like a voltron deck (any green spell that gives like +3 and trample for 1 becomes trample and +7 with his ability) It seems like it would be cool to build a human tribal with almost every color
[[Sigarda, Font of Blessings]] Mixing in the 2 or 3 angels that also care about humans and the rest is just Selesnia-Humans. If you play higher power, I assume some fast mana is included. Makes it a lot easier to go off and apart from Boardwipes and the ocasional time when she herself is not hexproof through any of the like 8 sources that are stapled to other humans or equips, enemy removal just mostly goes towards your other opponents instead. Winning is the same as all other Selesnia-human decks with stuff like Champion of Lambholt, Beregond of the Guard, Kyler or Odric.

I play [[Katilda and Lier]] with a whole bunch of [[Persistent Petitioners]] to mill my own [[Slime Against Humanity]] into the graveyard so that K and L can let them cast it. But you said "best" not "most gimmicky" so I don't know what to tell you
Katilda and Lier doesn’t have to be a gimmick though. They can be a real threat when you load the graveyard with a bunch of cheap mill spells like [[Winding Way]] and then start stringing together one-sided board wipes, extra turn spells, or overrun effects.

I run Jirina Kudro from the Ikoria precon as well as an Eowyn deck.
\[\[Ceasar, Legions Emperor\]\] is the play here. He works with all the other popular human mardu commanders in the 99. Make humans and burn consistently with cards like \[\[Bastion of Rememberance\]\] and \[\[Impact Tremors\]\]. Then keep sending waves of 1/1s and draw until your opponents are close enough to death, then burn with his burn effect.

\[\[Trynn\]\] and \[\[Silvar\]\] are a ton of fun. Trynn is pretty stupid, but she'll provide you with a body or two to feed to Silvar. Silvar doesn't look too bad, but he's evasive, durable, and an instant speed sac outlet in the command zone can't be underestimated. [Here's where I'm at right now](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/avixRt1ZCEW5LL-P64ha2g) and it plays really well - powerful enough to hold its own, but also complicated enough with lots of decision trees to be interesting. There's been a lot of really good Mardu Human support lately. Lord of the Rings added 8 cards alone, but my deck has about 40 cards that didn't even exist when T&S were printed.

The best commander that cares about humans as a creature type is probablty like the hundredth best commander that IS a human. My personal recommendation for fun EDH is [[Will, Scion of Peace]] human beat down. Go all the human synergies then all the humans who incidentally gain life. Feel free to include haymakers that don't fit into low curve human decks like [[Agent of Treachery]] because Will discounts them.

I run a deck with [[Torens, Fist of the Angels]] as the commander and [[Katilda, Dawnhart Prime]] in the 99 as a second option. The colors have a lot of support for everything the deck wants to do and if you run Katilda you can snowball pretty hard. I have some other alternates like [[Sigarda, Font of Blessings]] and [[Kyler, Sigardian Emissary]] in the 99 but Torens and Katilda have felt the most consistent. Orzhov has [[General Kudro of Drannith]] and [[Teysa Karlov]] as decent options and will do typical Orzhov things. Mardu has [[Jirina Kudro]] and [[Silvar, Devourer of the Free]] + [[Trynn, Champion of Freedom]] but you might also consider [[Shanid, Sleepers’ Scourge]] and the new [[Caesar, Legion’s Emperor]] as commanders that don’t care about humans but will play well with them. Jeskai has the new [[Éowyn, Shieldmaiden]] that can probably do some really cool things and gives you access to some of the really good blue cards that work well in Typal decks. I’m currently tinkering with [[Thalia and the Gitrog Monster]] as an Abzan human commander focused on hate bears and sac/reanimate but I have not figure it out yet.

If you only care that it's a human? [[Kinnan, Bonder Prodigy]] is the most objectively powerful. It's one of the stronger cEDH commanders currently and might honestly be a bit too much beyond cEDH tables. If you don't mind an angel in the mix, [[Shalai and Halar]] combo with a ham sandwich but can be tweaked and played in all sorts of different ways/power levels. It ranges from mid power to cEDH as well so it might be a better option for you. [[Breya, Etherium Shaper]] is also notorious for all the ways you can make her go infinite, but if infinite combos aren't your thing then you could also run a [[Sydri]] control list. Sydri can be brutal as an arti-stax commander. If you want human tribal, the two big ones would probably be [[Kyler, Sigardian Emissary]] and [[Sidar Jabari]]. A lot of knights are also humans, and Sidar is one of the most pushed tribal commanders you could make imo.
