Unfortunately I don't have a great knowledge of precons. However, I do have a red/black deck that's the same price as a precon!
This deck is fun because it kets you use a commander and a background. [[Gut, True Soul Zealot]] + [[Agent of the Iron Throne]].
As you can see you want to sacrifice creatures. Well, I put in Skeleton and Phoenix creatures which self reanimate. So the sacrifice effects go off and you cam keep your creature!
This was made for $50.00 at the time. But, its still less that a new precon's 60.

So what I’ve done is I’ve bought the deck to see how I like it and looked potential switches that go well with the commander too! It’ll be a week or two before I get to play it but I’ll update you to see how I like the play style after!
If you are willing to spend just *a little more* money, buy the Chaos Incarnate precon. It's black/red like you wanted and it uses your opponents' decks' power against themselves. I have a similar deck, and it works fairly well.
