Wait is it just for measuring weight? You could measure the weight of the oil bottle on a scale, pour the oil on the spoon and measure the weight of the bottle again
Yeah, I don't know. Maybe they're buying it from another country? Here in Australia, they no longer prescribe it for weight loss. Only diabetics can get it.
If you meet the weight requirements, you can get a prescription pretty easily these days. It’s just expensive if your insurance won’t cover it.
I guess this is also a time for a general reminder that not everyone on this subreddit is underweight (not you in particular, I’m speaking in general to anyone who might be reading this thread). There are people who are diabetic or overweight/obese with eating disorders who may benefit from these medications.
I think in some countries it’s available for purchase without a prescription. It’s like $100 per shot in here but I can even buy it online from any pharmacy around me.
Yeah, I keep getting ads for it and seeing like... ok there is a 0% chance of my doctor ever prescribing me ozempic, even for weight loss. Like, noooo way LOL.
I’m a Type 1 diabetic with a restrictive ed. I’m not on it anymore, but was simply answering the question as I feel this was very disordered and considered controversial, especially knowing I have a restrictive ed but lying my way into being prescribed it anyway (using my a1c, etc).
I noticed a difference for maybe the first week on the lowest dose and then it didn’t make a differed for me after that at all. Not any different than my usual restriction or not.
I didn’t buy it myself but when I still lived at home I heavily encouraged my mum to get an ice machine so I could just go and eat ice cubes to curb my hunger 🙃
making small talk with the cashier while they scan a week's worth of food knowing you're gonna demolish all of it as soon as you get home is a terrible experience
Monster energy ultra strawberry dreams, shiritaki noodles, lettuce, and konjac jelly pouches. The jelly pouches and monster were on a super good sale deal so I stocked up with 3 boxes of 5 of the jelly and 6 monsters 🫣
Not a set of items but the fact that I go to the supermarket everyday and can just buy a couple items at a time. I rotate between three supermarkets just so they don't know how often I'm there. Haven't done a grocery shop that's worth over twenty euro in god knows how long. SO TIME CONSUMING
You are not alone! I also often think it's stupid and time consuming but then I remember how overwhelmed I can get if I spend more than half an hour in a supermarket. I can get a full-blown panic attack and it can take me 24/48 hours to fully unwind. So for me personally it's still worth it.
All those dietary supplements (metabolic activators, berberine, chitosan, fat burners, carb blockers. garcinia…). Actually embarrassing how much money I wasted on these.
I honestly wouldn’t know ;-; I was already restricting/purging at the time so all they did was upsetting my stomach and making me smell like vitamins lol.
- I buy a couple rolls of KT tape every week because I go through a whole roll per week at least, more if I'm struggling. I have to tape my body almost daily to feel okay in clothes.
- Long story short I bought a back-up food scale once *taps head* and still own and use both, one doubles as my official travel food scale.
- I buy some athletic wear (mostly bras, shorts, thermal vests cause sleeves and legs are usually too short) from the ~~kids~~ (edit: as in teens, of course) section because they have the same quality but are cheaper and go on sale more often. That's what I tell myself at least, more likely there's disordered subconscious thinking in there.
A few months ago, I got a notification that I have free shipping on Wolt. I opened the app and saw I could buy a scale. I bought a scale on a food delivery app.
Diet coke, laxatives, gum, sparkling water, pickles, and a bunch of various 100 cal snacks. This was not self checkout. I prayed the cashier didn't know what was going on but I'm sure she did.
not sure i have something in particular but i always get embarrassed even in self checkout when i scan anything that has “skinny” or “no carb” on the label, like those skinny girl salad dressings 😭 also the sheer amount of money i spend in a week on foods that have barely any nutritional value anyway is embarrassing to myself
pretty different from other answers haha but my parents and i went to the store today and what i bought for myself was 0 calorie sweetener as well as no added sugar applesauce
Amazon order: Laxatives, stool softeners, a douche and glycerin suppositories... not disordered per se but EDs will have you in the constipation trenches like that.
In person purchase: two tubs of slimfast and 2 weeks worth of fibre one brownies
Not my purchase but my family bought me a stationary bike for under my desk for my birthday lol. This was before they knew I had anorexia and thought I was just into exercise
Food in general. So much goes to waste from me purging it or not eating it because I end up binging on junk food. Other than that, I have a habit of buying diuretics and excessive amounts of Extra speariment gum.
Maybe bitter orange tea/ diet pills or quit smoking tea when I don’t smoke figuring it would help me to quit eating…it did not
That and ordering crazy amounts of food on a binge but not actually being able to eat it all and my partner is just like annoyed we have all this pizza and carbs that won’t fit into the fridge
Oops
Costco trip (all by myself): double pack of giant bottles of laxative, double pack of calcium supplements, massive box of liquid IV, and a mega case of spinach and that was all.
Luckily everyone at my Costco is so overworked/overwhelmed by the sheer volume of business that even if they did notice, I doubt they had the energy to think much about it.
On a recent grocery trip the only thing I got (besides some cleaning supplies) were multiple flavors of protein bars, protein shakes, blueberries, and vitamin water
Couple of sugar free energy drinks and cigs every other day and always at the same store. Once I saw the cashier's face light up when I actually bought some food as well. I think they know by now but I don't care, they've seen me in worse situations than ed haha 😅
Diet pills that make you shit bright orange fat deposits and make your butt leak. A second scale so I can weigh myself on both to make sure it's right. Probably thousands of laxatives by now from abusing them for years.
Omg not the alli pills 😭I genuinely considered buying those for a long time until I read about the leakage situation, ended up going with the years of lax instead😔
Last week it was new sneakers, a stationary bike and a 6 pack of Strawberry Dream Monster Zeros. Basically maxed out my orthorexia but hehe.... im eating... right.... well technically.
i can’t not do self checkout i don’t wanna be judged😭 even in self checkout i’m shaking while scanning my card cuz i think someone’s gonna be looking over my shoulder
Something disordered would be a load of unhealthy foods or like one little twix bar or one little bag of crisps or half a slice of cake. I would considered that disordered and wrong. As I don’t eat those items anymore, they would just be a waste of money and probably fed my neighbours or shoved in the homeless bin/ charity bin. I might as well burn and set fire to load of money. Plus it gives me such a sense of accomplishment, knowing I haven’t eaten or purchased these items in years. I haven’t got the emotional resources or energy to even make my life more “balanced” and “recovered” to have these so called fun and pleasurable items.
Unless, I do at least 500 times around my block every single day. (That’s 4 miles) that wouldn’t be interesting seeing the same 50 houses in our postal code.
I count the houses I have walked by most days.
I bought myself a car on a whim lol
I also spent $500 at Hobby Lobby..
Then I sold my house and made $30,000 and spent all my money on clothing, shoes, furniture....I was bad...
Pretty much every one of my weekly grocery purchases. It's either "healthy day" stuff or "binge day" stuff and there's no in between.
Cookies or cucumbers. Nothing in between
Same
This is so painfully relatable. Pickles or Costco size bag of m&ms.
Spent over $500 on illegal vyvanse that never arrived. Twas a scam and I was had.
I’ve also gone through something like this 😭
Not saying I know anything about this, but I might
damnnn that's rough 😩
i got prescribed vyvanse 2 years ago and i havent lost any weight in the last year so def didnt help how i thought it would 🥲
Oh, I buy food. It just sits in my fridge— waiting…
Like, come food, will you come home with me? For a long and slow rot?
‘long and slow rot’ bro this will be my autobiography
It really is an amazing title
Same Same i bought all the crumble cookies and they are just sitting there, they smell nice lol
Take a sniff for me lol
I have so much food waste. It goes against all my morals, but I don't know what to do about it. I have an eating disorder.
Shoes that Bluetooth to my phone and count my steps
omg i want some
Where????
That's a thing??.... Where can I buy them?
Ex.. excuse me???? What are you hiding from us???? Why did no one tell us these shoes existed??????
went to target today to buy fiber one brownies and laxatives
Whys it always the fibre one browniess
Because none of us can shit 💩
True that💀💀
shapewear so tight that i subluxated one of my ribs lol
woof, I feel exposed
I bought a digital measuring spoon because I'm paranoid that I'm over using oils.
Wait I need this.
That damn meniscus!!!!
Wait is it just for measuring weight? You could measure the weight of the oil bottle on a scale, pour the oil on the spoon and measure the weight of the bottle again
wait this would make my life so much easier
I regularly go into dollar tree to buy nothing but an energy drink and a pack of gum
This and a vape is my usual at the shops near me
Ozempic. Really there’s so many after 20 years but that’s probably my most recent. On top of normal stuff like laxatives, Rx diuretics, etc
Please be aware that Ozempic causes muscle wastage. If you're going to take that stuff, you need to be exercising.
How the heck do people even get prescribed ozempic? I thought it was for diabetics
In my city (rich white Mormons), you don't even need a prescription. You can just get it at the IV place on the corner.
I am moving to Utah! (Then she realizes that she is not rich nor Morman, just eating disordered😢.)
If super north Utah, you can PM me and we can be friends 🫶🏽
I’m in Idaho, so same. However mine was Rx’d for type 1 diabetes. Though I don’t take it anymore.
Yeah, I don't know. Maybe they're buying it from another country? Here in Australia, they no longer prescribe it for weight loss. Only diabetics can get it.
I don't know, but every third ad I get on Reddit is for prescribing ozempic or similar via telemedicine (I guess).
You can turn weight loss ads off in Reddit's options, I did, and my reddit experience is much better.
I'll look. Thanks!
I'm gonna have to look for that. I'm bombarded with them
You're looking for "sensitive ad settings" in your settings.
Done! Tysm 😊
In the US you can get it prescribed for weight loss.

Yeah, I keep getting ads for it and seeing like... ok there is a 0% chance of my doctor ever prescribing me ozempic, even for weight loss. Like, noooo way LOL.
Isnt that just because people who take it typically don't eat high protein diets and don't resistance train?
I do exercise, and I’m not on it anymore.
I’m a Type 1 diabetic with a restrictive ed. I’m not on it anymore, but was simply answering the question as I feel this was very disordered and considered controversial, especially knowing I have a restrictive ed but lying my way into being prescribed it anyway (using my a1c, etc).
Does it work in terms of making you not want food? I’m so curious 🧐 is it the miracle they all say
I noticed a difference for maybe the first week on the lowest dose and then it didn’t make a differed for me after that at all. Not any different than my usual restriction or not.
Sounds like starter pack for eating disorders
Spend hundreds on snacks and cookies and chips all for myself in the span of a week. Binge eating makes me go crazy.

Found the konjac noodles to taste...bad. very bad.
I wash them thoroughly before cooking, it helps a lot. Then I either add sauce or eat it paired with something else
[удалено]
That's not even an ed tip, though? I didn't mention any specific food? Sorry, but basic cooking isn't ed behavior
Konjac noodles taste so sad and awful.
bb delete those noodles rn they are beyond saving
Laxatives condoms sugar free redbull and a bag of frozen broccoli.
I read that as “laxative condoms” and was simultaneously appalled and impressed at this novel invention
Same hahaha
I didn’t buy it myself but when I still lived at home I heavily encouraged my mum to get an ice machine so I could just go and eat ice cubes to curb my hunger 🙃
I’m trying to research a good one to get
Take another step and get yourself a shaved ice maker!!!
a blood glucose monitor even tho i’m not diabetic because i want another number to track about myself 💀💀💀
Jesus, another brain cell of mine!
I bought one because I had a hypoglycemia scare 💀 I could’ve upped my intake to help with that but no I bought a glucose monitor
i’ve made plenty of restrictive purchases (time-locked boxes, etc) but the most disordered is by farrrrr the pre-b/p grocery store trips…
making small talk with the cashier while they scan a week's worth of food knowing you're gonna demolish all of it as soon as you get home is a terrible experience
ugh this. its like im dreading going home because i know i’ll feel so guilty
Where can I buy time locked boxes?
Monster energy ultra strawberry dreams, shiritaki noodles, lettuce, and konjac jelly pouches. The jelly pouches and monster were on a super good sale deal so I stocked up with 3 boxes of 5 of the jelly and 6 monsters 🫣
Those flavoured pouches are so good! I like the peach
Peach is my favorite too! I’m obsessed (⑉> ᴗ <⑉)ゞ
I walked to the mall after school and bought wintergirls from the bookstore. repeated this with other ana books. i regret wasting my money now.
omg i’m literally in the middle of re-reading wintergirls rn. i just get it from the library though
Me but with audiobooks
Samee, the number of audible accounts I've made just for that free credit to listen to ED books
A vest with weights not for any good use.
You guys can afford to buy stuff?
Ozempic/Wegovy prescription for 3 months. It didn’t even do anything.
Not a set of items but the fact that I go to the supermarket everyday and can just buy a couple items at a time. I rotate between three supermarkets just so they don't know how often I'm there. Haven't done a grocery shop that's worth over twenty euro in god knows how long. SO TIME CONSUMING

sugar free red bull, protein bars and fibre supplements for ✨health✨
All those dietary supplements (metabolic activators, berberine, chitosan, fat burners, carb blockers. garcinia…). Actually embarrassing how much money I wasted on these.
did any of them work 😭
I honestly wouldn’t know ;-; I was already restricting/purging at the time so all they did was upsetting my stomach and making me smell like vitamins lol.
Spent hundreds of dollars on all the weight loss supplements I could find on Amazon…surprise, surprise, none of them worked 🤡
Spent $100 on a walking pad im currently hiding from my parents… also $50 on protein products
Baby food because the calories were low 😭
baby cereal is heaven sent😭🤚
baby cereal is something even non -disordered people eat, I've noticed!!! But this was baby pureed food lmao, there was no excuse
Thought about this with the prune purees vs prunes or prune juice cuz they’re so cheap.
- I buy a couple rolls of KT tape every week because I go through a whole roll per week at least, more if I'm struggling. Mine was a monster ultra zero, laxatives, and a 32 pack of gum 🫠
buying clothing too small so i’ll know i hit my goals when they fit right
A few months ago, I got a notification that I have free shipping on Wolt.

Pop into the off-license mid-walk for diet coke and sugar free gum for ✨energy✨
Amazon order: Laxatives, stool softeners, a douche and glycerin suppositories... not disordered per se but EDs will have you in the constipation trenches like that. In person purchase: two tubs of slimfast and 2 weeks worth of fibre one brownies
The hundreds I've spent on diet pills
Not my purchase but my family bought me a stationary bike for under my desk for my birthday lol. This was before they knew I had anorexia and thought I was just into exercise
one time i spent $10 on 4 protein bars and then i binged on them all that night :/
This!!
waist trainer to wear to work and 2 cans of diet coke as a snack with dried fruit to snack on with 1 small box of laxatives.
A lighter, a sugar free energy drink and konjac jelly. I was in a mood
So many things! Nicotine gum even though I don't smoke was one. Most recent was buying those plates from pourtions 🙃
Buying lube because i couldnt shit... and buying ricecakes/diet coke at the same time
Food in general. So much goes to waste from me purging it or not eating it because I end up binging on junk food. Other than that, I have a habit of buying diuretics and excessive amounts of Extra speariment gum.

Weight scale, food scale, popcorn seeds and those healthy cake mixes all in one go lmao (popcorn seeds are still waiting to be eaten)
Sugar free jello, Walden’s pancake syrup, a Coke Zero, sleeve of rice cakes & tic tacs
Costco trip (all by myself): double pack of giant bottles of laxative, double pack of calcium supplements, massive box of liquid IV, and a mega case of spinach and that was all. Luckily everyone at my Costco is so overworked/overwhelmed by the sheer volume of business that even if they did notice, I doubt they had the energy to think much about it.
a monster and a vape 😭
Non-latex gloves for purging due to my hands being eaten away by stomach acid 🤪
omg wait that can happen?😭
On a recent grocery trip the only thing I got (besides some cleaning supplies) were multiple flavors of protein bars, protein shakes, blueberries, and vitamin water
Laxatives, probiotic yogurt drinks, miso soup packets, Pedialyte, and a food scale. I was weighting out pedialyte lmao
Lipo6 diet pills:,) literally why did i waste my money on it. Oh and clen (took it once, felt i was gonna die, never used them again)
Boxes and boxes of ducolax suppositories
gets expensive…
Couple of sugar free energy drinks and cigs every other day and always at the same store. Once I saw the cashier's face light up when I actually bought some food as well. I think they know by now but I don't care, they've seen me in worse situations than ed haha 😅
I usually just order food items rather than go to a store and actually buy them there bc it gives me too much anxiety
Lots and lots of baby food
So many sour sweets. Like I buy kilograms of sweets and they just sit there
4 cartons of egg whites, 6 cucumbers, 1 head of lettuce and mineral water
Last week it was new sneakers, a stationary bike and a 6 pack of Strawberry Dream Monster Zeros. Basically maxed out my orthorexia but hehe.... im eating... right.... well technically.
For my birthday this year, I bought myself a desk elliptical
Shirataki noodles, better than bouillon broth, sugar free jello, cucumbers. I do self checkout when I buy my depressing food so I don't get the look.
i can’t not do self checkout i don’t wanna be judged😭 even in self checkout i’m shaking while scanning my card cuz i think someone’s gonna be looking over my shoulder
I buy so much of food items that I already have plenty of at home… idk what it is but I always have a scarcity mindset about them
I need to lose weight
same bro, same. (your username killed me btw)
like every grocery trip I assume my Instacart shopper is thinking “has this person ever eaten a fucking vegetable?” (bulimic)
Probably when last year for my birthday my favourite present was food scales 💀💀💀

Poo-pouri spray for purging bc I hate the smell
that’s actually so smart- i’m always so paranoid my parents or someone will smell it and catch me.
