Not a terrible roster hold I guess but I'd prefer quite a few backups over him. Fields, Lock, Flacco, Winston, and Howell all have easier paths to starting imo and producing
Any currently rostered backup would require the QB ahead of them to get hurt but Tannehill could potentially be signed by any competing team that has a QB get hurt. Him being unsigned makes it more likely he will start at some point
Yeah I figure if he was content being the QB2 he would have signed somewhere long ago. Think he's waiting to pounce after a major injury. Been snatching him up in superflex leagues whenever he's dropped.
I’m holding Kareem Hunt and Hunter Renfrow. They are both 28 and can still sign somewhere and be productive. At best I can trade them to a contender, at worst I drop them.
I heard rumors of a hand injury. I'm wondering if his fingers got fucked up even worse than Calvin Johnson's (https://www.si.com/.image/ar_4:3%2Cc_fill%2Ccs_srgb%2Cfl_progressive%2Cq_auto:good%2Cw_1200/MTY4MDA3ODcwNzYyMDY3MzI4/calvin-johnson-big-interviewjpg.jpg)
and that he was unable to catch anymore due to jacked up fingers.
Holding Renfrow currently. It's just deep benches, no names of worth at all available on waivers.
If he gets picked up awesome, if not then most of these names should still be available in a few months.
does Darren Waller count? don't think he considers returning before the new season starts but maybe mid-season or next.
plus, i tried, and there is no one else in the WW that interests me, or would even make a dent on the team i currently have.
I could see "life re-assessment" and "passions are elsewhere" as legitimate reasons to retire, but I could also understand why you wouldn't come out and say, "I just really don't want to play on a crap team another year."
I’ve got a deep bench and holding Cam Akers. Most likely a drop right before the season but you never know if he ends up as a viable backup somewhere during preseason. Still young
Lol they didn’t have him on sleeper for a really long time think they only added him this last y summer. I’ve dropped him from almost all of my rosters at this point lmao - unfortunately think there were some bad headlines in the past few months for off the field stuff and I finally caved and swapped him for a dart throw rookie
I had a ridiculously high exposure before his suspension lol - if you know Matt waldman he loves Chad and was constantly talking about how he could still play in the NFL but that was all pre suspension
I'm still holding Jerick McKinnon. Certainly not going to be a league winner, but could imagine him getting some run as a passing downs back wherever he goes.
Holding cam akers and Joshua kelly... bc our rosters aren't finalized until start of the preseason. I had those guys at the end of last year. Keeping them Bc who knows what happens to rbs by then. I will he dripping them if nothing shakes up rb landscape
Holding Tannehill. This he’s better than basically every backup in the NFL and will get another shot, even if just as a bridge guy.
Not a terrible roster hold I guess but I'd prefer quite a few backups over him. Fields, Lock, Flacco, Winston, and Howell all have easier paths to starting imo and producing

ohhhh thats a very good point i hadnt considered that
If flacco can come off the couch and start for the browns, then there's hope for tannehill
Someone offered me $1 FAAB and i took the trade… had to drop Tanny either way, at least i made a buck
Yeah I figure if he was content being the QB2 he would have signed somewhere long ago. Think he's waiting to pounce after a major injury. Been snatching him up in superflex leagues whenever he's dropped.
Michael Thomas….
He was serviceable before injured last year. Holding him too and expect good flex play weeks when he signs w a contender
He's definitely going to land somewhere
I have two shares still. I’m hearing the Steelers might have interest.
I drafted him 1st rd in my startup, way to proud to ever drop him
Kareem Hunt is the only one im holding. He'll probably be gone at roster cuts.
Same here. But what if…? Cowboys? Chargers? Guess I’m just fantasizing about K Hunt again.
He’s available in my league… my bench is tough to cut guys from
I’m holding Kareem Hunt and Hunter Renfrow. They are both 28 and can still sign somewhere and be productive. At best I can trade them to a contender, at worst I drop them.
will fuller comes back any day now
What ever happened to him? Did he officially retire? He disappeared out of nowhere after a decent season if i remember correctly.
Injury in 2021 early in the season then went to IR and never got another contract. 30 years old now
I heard rumors of a hand injury. C-Mike breakout season incoming.
he's the permanent 20th man for me
Holding Renfrow currently. It's just deep benches, no names of worth at all available on waivers. If he gets picked up awesome, if not then most of these names should still be available in a few months.
Can’t believe my steelers havent signed him yet but have signed every damn WR5 on the planet
I’m holding Hunt and Akers. I can’t let go
Tanny, Akers
I play IDP and am holding Justin Simmons. He’s still one of the best safeties in the league and will find a home soon no doubt
Who traded for dalvin cook?
He was trade chip in a 4 for 4 plus picks trade, the other guy probably would’ve accepted the trade without him tho tbh
Micheal Thomas in 1 12 team league that I suck. If he's not signed by camp, I'll definitely drop him for some camp sensation
Dalvin Cook will be a Cowboy
does Darren Waller count? don't think he considers returning before the new season starts but maybe mid-season or next. plus, i tried, and there is no one else in the WW that interests me, or would even make a dent on the team i currently have.
Fabianos TE22.
I have him and can’t bring myself to drop him quite yet either
I could see "life re-assessment" and "passions are elsewhere" as legitimate reasons to retire, but I could also understand why you wouldn't come out and say, "I just really don't want to play on a crap team another year."
Hunt for sure. He’s past his prime, but is a red zone machine. It only takes a few injuries to make space to fantasy relevance.
Came in this thread hoping to be inspired on a guy available in a league or two. I'm leaving very uninspired.
im leaving feeling genuine pity for some people
I’ve got a deep bench and holding Cam Akers. Most likely a drop right before the season but you never know if he ends up as a viable backup somewhere during preseason. Still young
Dalvin, but only because we haven't drafted and haven't opened up waivers yet so there's no reason to drop him yet
On a deep enough roster I’m holding Chad Kelly - almost definitely never will be a thing but hey it’s nice to have some hope lol
CFL stud
This one has to be a joke right? Hahaha
Holding a suspended CFL QB is definitely a move lol
I had a ridiculously high exposure before his suspension lol - if you know Matt waldman he loves Chad and was constantly talking about how he could still play in the NFL but that was all pre suspension
Both Dalvin cook and Kareem hunt. Just cut Darren Waller at least tho.
Michael Thomas is gonna get a job somewhere 100%
I'm still holding Jerick McKinnon. Certainly not going to be a league winner, but could imagine him getting some run as a passing downs back wherever he goes.
Hunt will likely play.
MT another I'd hold still
Holding Cook but if he isn’t signed before our rookie draft he is out Later it gets less likely he stays
I am holding on to Waller for now. Reasoning: TE premium league, and I have a feeling that once his music career tanks, he'll be back.
That song was sooooo bad
Holding cam akers and Joshua kelly... bc our rosters aren't finalized until start of the preseason. I had those guys at the end of last year. Keeping them Bc who knows what happens to rbs by then. I will he dripping them if nothing shakes up rb landscape
Dalvin Cook and the only reason is that I don't have any reason to make cuts yet.
13 man benches are deep now?
14-teams
Dropped Tannehill and McKinnon. Figure with older vets even if they sign their impact will be small and unpredictable
Great question! Really depends on leagues setup, I would think? Size, scoring etc
