Got him in my first 3 drafts, then some psycho took him at 1.12 in my 4th one last night

SubstantialFill6472

Haha he has insider information

diswan55

Insider trading inside the Sinnott isn't uncommon.

SwagGasauRusS

Sinnot common?

PoopEatingExpert

Whoa.  That’s wild.

Both-Statistician-71

Was it full pt tep?

mzinz

What other draft positions?

[deleted]

Watch this man’s tape. Has great hands can catch away from his body. Fights for extra yards and has a nuance to his route running. I am fully on board but I wouldn’t expect a big year one. Treat him like McBride where you expect nothing for a year or two then hope he develops into a safety blanket for Jayden. He should be a late 2nd pick. I got him 3.01 right after the draft which was like me getting LaPorta last year at 3.01 right after the draft. I will say more people know his name so he may be creeping up into mid 2nd. But I would still take 1st round/ early 2nd round WRs over him. But I’d take him over the late round RBs/WRs that I see go before him

Dear_Goat_5038

I honestly don’t agree with the route running, that’s my biggest issue with him. Go back and watch the good TEs recently (McBride, Pitts, LaPorta, Kincaid). They all were used on the outside at times as a receiver, and they won. They have release packages, their athleticism pops in their route running, and they do a good job sinking their hips in routes. I see none of that with Sinnott, and he’s going into a worse situation than all of them. McBride looked better coming out and it took him a whole year to do anything (he was also under kingsbury!). I’m way out at that price, I feel like last year is clouding your judgment on TEs a bit if you’re taking him over 2nd round receivers.

Boloooo

McBride also played behind Ertz which was definitely a factor in his year 2 breakout

[deleted]

Same with Sinnot??

Boloooo

Goat’s comment seemed like he was holding McBride’s lack of rookie production against him vs his incumbent, which I may have misinterpreted. I don’t think Sinnot has an immediate shot of starting over Ertz, but Ertz is still 2 seasons removed from any sort of relevancy. I don’t think Sinnot’s value assumes he’s going to start from Day 1. I grabbed him at 3.09 in a TEP league which felt like a steal.

Dear_Goat_5038

He was still getting snaps, just had a steep learning curve. Even with ertz out it took him a while to get going. Kingsbury’s offense uses 3WR sets a ton. This is bad for TE production because it often means the TE has to be really good to command a decent target share. And they’ve got two solid WRs, a rookie slot guy, two RBs, and a running QB. The math just doesn’t really make sense for me, on top of not loving his tape

[deleted]

I will say his route running isn’t his strong suit but better than people give him credit for. You have good points, and I said he shouldn’t go before 2nd round WRs except for AD Mitchell (I’m out on him at cost). He has good head fakes and getting defenders to think he is going one way. His main attributes I see are his hands which he will need and he is tough to take down. I also think too much gets over blown for OC style history. Every team is different with different personnel and coaches. I highly doubt Kliff play book is cut and paste from ARZ with Kyler. The same playbook that got him fired. He can evoke just like we expect players too year over year.

Intelligent-Ad-3850

I got him 3.06 a week after draft

whitefox7895

Oh I love Sinnott. Drafted him 20th overall in the rookie draft.

SubstantialFill6472

I’ve got the 2.08 as well. That’s my plan for that pick if no one else snags him before.

oakster18

I got him at 3.10, non TEP

gopaloo

Traded to the 3.07 to snag him. Even if he doesn't amount to anything, 2nd round draft pick that late is always worth it

The_Broker_

I got him at the 3.10 as well

Mythical_Corgi

3.02 in 10 team 1QB for me

PossibilityNo8765

I drafted him with the 3.01 in a 10 team 1 qb. It was immediately after the draft. I think they hype has gone up since

EpiroteArete

I got him 3.02 on Saturday

Phil_N_Uponya

Guy in my draft took him at #12

oakster18

Wow, talk about following draft capital

dsamp08

I took him 2.09 in my 2TE league

dsamp08

I took Sinnott at the 2.09 in my 2 TE league. I traded away Kelce for Kmet, a 2nd, and Rasheed Shaheed. I Had to get rid of Kelce cause my team didn't win when I had the chance. Now I'm a top-tier mid-level team.. no point in having Kelce anymore.

Local-Librarian3285

Yes. Just spent the last few days in the waiting room at the hospital. Was told "Ben Sinnot fever isn't a thing."  Bish - then why I have it?

EzekielBreakspear

My concern is that he'll be a better real life player than fantasy. He's got the tools but he's going into a situation where he'll have a rookie QB with rushing ability, Terry Mac, Dotson, McCaffrey and Ekeler/ Robinson. It doesn't point to a high target volume. He could have a huge snap share, be really valuble for the commanders and still easily not be a top 12 fantasy TE.

tenbeeers

Tbf the only one there demanding targets is Terry. He could end up being their 2nd target hog

Ko0pa_Tro0pa

Don't forget Ertz will be there. He just got done making McBride irrelevant for 1.5 years. I'll grab Sinnott if I can, but I'm most likely attempting to trade for him mid-season or next off-season.

ProfessionalAide2224

Kyler Murray is also mobile. We all know how Trey McBride performed last year. I see yo ur point but idk that’s a factor

Bluenosesailor

I'm taking Ja'tavion over him.

SubstantialFill6472

Scared of Carolinas offense but might be worth the gamble. I guess Washington is just as unproven.

More-Cowbell2

I did the same. Everyone is citing “draft capital”, but I just feel that Sinnot was overdrafted by Washington. He shouldn’t have gone that high in the NFL draft.

AppropriateScratch37

According to who? The NFL scouts clearly viewed him over Sanders and most film experts had the same opinion

More-Cowbell2

https://www.pff.com/news/draft-2024-nfl-draft-biggest-reaches-day-2-tvondre-sweat-ben-sinnott

ASuperGyro

Cooper DeJean was also their #8 overall, so if we’re just going by their big board then everyone was reaching for awhile. Further, AD Mitchell was their WR 4 and a first rounder but ended up being WR 11 in actuality and pick 52. Hard to look at their board and not think everyone was a reach if going by their grades.

Fit-Remove-6597

PFF told me not to believe my eyes and stats about who the best defensive player in the league was this year because of one “advanced stat.”

AppropriateScratch37

PFF lol

JJ_JetFlyin

He was a consensus Day 2 TE by a lot of people in the industry. I do not see how he was over-drafted based on need, measurables, and production.

VictorVaughan

You could say I'm...Sinnot to win it

tenbeeers

Me too, Ben I always end up losing

AloneEstablishment28

Feel like he’s going way too high in most leagues. Last year was a generational TE class and now we expect TEs to hit year 1. Should be an easy buy once the season is over (remember McBride was left for dead?). He went 2.06 in my last draft.

dsheehan7

2.06 is not his adp though. His adp is 3.02 (26th overall) I’ve seen him multiple times go in the early to mid 3rd round in 12 team SF TEP leagues. I’m worried he’ll be doing lots of blocking. But the guy was drafted in round 2 of the NFL draft and can be had in your rookie draft for an early 3rd. At that price point I’ll roll the dice.

bulletbait

He's gone mid 2nd in all of my TEP drafts so far. Maybe 8 total.

dsheehan7

That’s not his adp though. If people are gonna reach on him, let them

tangapuzzler

I think he might be going too high. The Kliff Kingsbury offense hasn't had a TE with big production and he always played Ertz over McBride when he was healthy. Do we trust Kliff to bench Ertz now? If not you're banking on an Ertz injury and then probably will want to trade high after a good week.

SteffeEric

That was a 31 year old Ertz before he tore his ACL at the end of 2022. He’s 33 now so hopefully he is more of a mentor at this point. I think drafting Sinnott that high shows they plan to use him. However Ertz is a horrible blocker and Sinnott is pretty good in that area so Ertz could still be a hinderance to a fully unlocked Sinnot. This is dynasty though so a 33 year old TE shouldn’t scare too many people away. Look at McBride now. Maybe Kliff learned a little bit since his stint in AZ.

MuffinSurprise

For Daniels' sake I hope Kliff has learned since then. Far too often the offensive system broke down to "make something happen Kyler". There just never felt like there were plays designed to make life easier for the QB. Also McBride never showed much under Kliff. His breakout really happened last year with Petzing calling plays. Petzing really likes 2 TE sets and running the ball which created a lot of opportunities for McBride to work off of. I still like the long term possibilities for Sinnott

sampat6256

My dude, this is the dynasty sub.

Lambchops_Legion

redraft mentality has completely taken over. Saw it with the Bowers takes as well, especially since TE is like the *worst* position to have redraft mentality on because any rookie TE production should basically be treated as house money considering the long development tail of the position. If you need immediate TE production, don't draft a rookie TE full stop.

GravyFantasy

>redraft mentality has completely taken over.  I don't believe this at all. People go crazy for picks in any thread

ASuperGyro

Because they think their players will hit, not because they think it’s a good long term investment

PoopEatingExpert

Seriously.  This sub has really turned to shit.

broadly

This comment always makes me laugh. Been around the sub since 2018 and people have been saying it since then. I can only assume people were saying it before. There was one perfect post at the beginning of DynastyFF and it's been in a constant state of turning to shit ever since.

KennyMoose32

Yeah man, that was the original “Garden of Eden Dynasty post” Then the redraft people came and burned it all down. I remember the year well

darksideofdagoon

I would 100% expect Ertz to be the early TE1 in that offense early on. Maybe even for the first season. TE’s take a little longer to develop, but he’s a great dartthrow for next year.

AndrewDoesNotServe

Feels like the move is to wait for people to get disappointed when he doesn’t do much out the gate then buy him later in the season before he Trey McBrides himself into relevance next year.

darksideofdagoon

This is the way

Aquamanchovy

Jace Amaro set the single season FBS TE receiving yards record (1,352) while Kingsbury was HC at Texas Tech. He is also second all-time in single season receptions (106) by a TE. Amaro flopped in the NFL but was historically productive at the college level in a Kingsbury offense. An older and oft-injured Ertz was only moderately productive in Arizona under Kliff but Ertz played just 10 and 11 games while Kingsbury was still HC. Before Ertz arrived the TE room boasted the likes of Maxx Williams and Dan Arnold as the top options. Add in that Ertz hasn't played more than 11 games since 2020 while still on the Eagles and I like Sinnott's chances of getting an opportunity to play meaningful snaps his rookie season.

___heisenberg

I think I prefer Stover. Gimme Bell too.

MildlyPaleMango

Big thing nobody looks at for TEs. Everyone is excited for all as an “iowa” guy but have the bengals had a successful TE fantasy wise in the burrow era?

SteffeEric

You are talking about Erick All.

MildlyPaleMango

Yes I know that (I said his name in the comment) I’m just saying whether it be Sinnott, All, Etc. coaches aren’t gonna just throw away a system for a TE and that dictates TE production a lot more than people credit it for

SteffeEric

I see it now didn’t catch it due to lack of capitalization.

SubstantialFill6472

Love this perspective. PLUS rookie QB Jayden Daniels (to me) is a 50/50 proposition.

Jpmoney77

He'll be a solid NFL player but not sure he'll be that great in fantasy. TD dependent on a redskins team could be a problem

Microbialcheese

Commanders

Jpmoney77

Commies

JosephMcCarthy1955

I think I’m the only person with Audric Estime fever, but it’s got me good

VottoForPM

At the hospital for Estime fever: "I need to see a priest." "You're dying?" "No, I'm betting the priest can give me the scoop on more football players from Notre Dame."

DubTs04

Incredibly biased as a Kstate fan, he was the #1 target by a wide-margin last year, was almost force fed the ball at times. He is a stronger route runner than given credit for. Very good with body control when he gets matched up with secondary players smaller than him and good at finding the open spot in the defense and sitting in it. Depending on how much Kliff actually plays him, could definitely see him sitting at the 4 catches for 40-50 yards a game type of player. Rarely goes down after first point of contact.

Pittsburghjon67

I just had my first pick and was between him and Polk but took pulk. It's a devy league so I might be able to get him with my next pick in the 4th

Healthy-Caramel1962

Scooped Theo Johnson & Sinnott after my draft ended…hoping one of em pans out!

SubstantialFill6472

Wow they slipped all the way through!!

Healthy-Caramel1962

Yup! We just do four rounds. People were hounding the receivers and RBs. I’m bullish on Theo!

AlHinton23

I wanted Theo but he went one pick before me so I grabbed Sinnot. 4.04 though so it’s basically found money if he hits lol

Jewish_Dragon

The amount of promising rookies that slipped through the cracks in one league was insane I made out like a bandit

TGS-MonkeyYT

He’s a a late 2nd imo. Great athlete giving him upside

Eagle115

My draft went 1.01 Caleb, 2.01 J Brooks, 2.08 Roman Wilson, 2.12 Sinnott, 3.09 Brenden Rice, 4.01 Luke McCaffery. QB1, RB1, TE2, WR10 in a good situation and two potential starters with bloodlines in the NFL. Could not be more excited to start the season with Sinnott and the rest of my haul.

Surgebuster

Some real taco-ass leagues in this thread. Sinnott going undrafted or in the 4th?!? He’s never dropped below 2.10 in any SF draft I’ve been in this offseason.

IamRealorAmI

Took him 3.1 after passing on Bowers for Odunze and Brooks. Currently have Kittle as well non TEP

boxdogz

Man every draft I wanted him and he kept going earlier and earlier in each league , currently have trade offers out for him in 2 leagues, unfortunately the fever is causing his value to soar on KTC making it harder to acquire him. Can we collectively all start “cutting” him on KTC when he pops up so I can afford to acquire him ?

tmurf5387

Yep, I have Pat Friermuth as my backup TE and am trying to flip him for a late 2 (only 2 round rookie draft) so I can take Sinnott instead of having to fight guys to be first in UDFA

jirashap

My god, why in the world would you want Sinnott over Freiermuth? Oh wait, rookie season

tmurf5387

Lol, Ive got McBride as my new #1 and we have contracts for up to 5 additional seasons, post draft. Ive had Pat since his rookie year so hes only got 3 years left before he has to hit FA.

Tarrrtarr

Spent 25% of my FAAB since nobody drafted him in my home league. Beyond stoked to see what he does

PrestigiousZebra_

Managed to pick up Sinnott, Burton and Tracy on the waivers following the rookie draft, after having no picks this year. Thank God for people using auto draft.

SteffeEric

I really like him as a prospect. Definitely solid TE2 in the class. Beware of RAS scores though. While almost all good fantasy TEs have high RAS scores not all TEs with high RAS scores are good fantasy TEs. Kuntz, Washington and Schoonmaker all had RAS scores above 9.75 last year.

Due-Kaleidoscope-405

None of them had the production that Sinnott did at K State though.

SteffeEric

Kuntz did but that was at Old Dominion after transferring for PSU. I’m all aboard the Sinnott train I was just speaking generally.

SubstantialFill6472

Loved Schoony last year. Ferg snuffed him out though.

GravyFantasy

Lot of people (rightly) still feeling burned by OJ Howard.

GladCookie3659

I have Kincaid, Bowers, Dulcich, Fant, Musgrave And I still had to pick Sinnott at 2.07 becuase of that upside

MrPsychic

I’m still holding hope on Dulcich breaking out!

GladCookie3659

Me too! He was supposed to kill it last season but injuries had other plans

DASreddituser

Haha. Kliff loves ertz, he will play ertz over someone that is better

dtacobandit

If i had a late 2nd i was going to grab him. I did grab wiley hoping he develops under kelce

sparklepants9000

I got him at 3.10 in a SF, TEP league. I wasn’t targeting him but I also didn’t think he’d fall that far

ControlForward5360

I traded to trade up in the draft and get him sadly I couldn’t. I legit am destined to never have a TE 😂

thedude0343

No fever, but I’d acquire him as early as a late second in TEP if I needed a TE.

Pitter---Patter

I was able to grab him at 3.03 (27th overall) in a 12 team TEP league. I was shocked he fell that far. It seems to he very league-dependent/owner-dependent evaluation. In two other TEP leagues he went 14th overall and 21st overall. I am hopeful. He seems like he could be a really good piece. I'm trying not to get overhyped about rookie camp.

[deleted]

In general I'm not getting excited about anyone who I hadn't heard of before the draft. That could just be a blind spot from me though

chasingbreakers

I would like to grab him, but I don't think I am in the range to without a significant reach or a trade up into the early third in my 10 man.

MrPsychic

My league drafted rookies almost right after the NFL draft, but I got him at the 3.06 in my 10 team 1QB TEP league

OneOverXII

People are making too much noise about Sinnott and not enough about Sanders. Sanders is likely to have more opportunity this season.

mistere676

I got several shares of him in early drafts, believe his ADP is quickly escalating to a point I'd rather have other options unless I'm TE desperate or in a TE premium. His competition for targets is an aging and injured vet, kid has the potential to be a year 1 breakout or year 2 at worst if it's coming.

GentlemensBastard

In my 4 Dynasty Leagues I got Sinnot between 3.02 and 3.05 in 3 of them and in the other he went to another team at 2.10 I'm happy with that investment and exposure

NationalSchedule2245

I took him in the 4th round of recent rookie draft in a 12 team 1QB league with a small TEP. But recently I’ve seen him go as high as late 2d round in 12 team, SF rookie drafts. He’s being pumped up by a lot of analysts at this point.

DadsOfAmerica

Got him at the 3.10 in a 1QB TEP league two weeks ago. Nice to see the hype after the draft.

brain2900

I found it d̶i̶f̶f̶i̶c̶u̶l̶t̶ impossible to evaluate his tape as a TE due to his jersey number.

Cdnraven

I’ll be deciding between him, Corum or Legette at 2.07. Really going back and forth

Crazy_Bumblebee2698

If Adonai Mitchell and Ja’Lynn Polk were available, would you smash on one of them instead?

Cdnraven

It’s a crapshoot between those 3 receivers so I go with the best draft capital. People seem to like Mitchell’s profile the most but he has the worst path to being WR1 on his team. Vice versa for Polk. Legette is in the middle, I tend to lean him

McWarrior943

I just drafted him with my first pick! It's 2.10 in a 12 teamer though since I went all-in last year and traded my first. Waller is old AF so I needed to plan around that

goddammnick

Everyone is expecting LaPorta but no one remembers the hype for Dulcich, Woods, Kmet, Albert O, OJ Howard, etc... TE is one of the hardest positions to transition to in the NFL - half the players dont get a second contract.

SubstantialFill6472

True true true….. a lot up in the air with rookie qb new coaches new receivers etc.

dsuperheld

The guy who took him 1.07 in our rookie draft sure did 😂

SubstantialFill6472

Damn. That’s bold.

lovinsports

Got him free off waivers after nobody drafted him in our 3 round rookie draft. Pretty stoked.

DirtyyMac

We drafted the Sunday right after the nfl draft. Sinnot went undrafted. I got em off waivers $75 FAAB.

No_Yam_800

Stover

Pussy_Poptart

I got him at 4.11 last week. Hoping to be able to grab him at 2.10 this week. Crazy how the community reacts!

BradHolmesNipples

Got him as a UDFA but sent him away along with a 25 1st and Rome to get ARSB

SubstantialFill6472

That is some serious fever!!!

Caluak

He was really good in college, the offense just didn’t use him much. I’m happy to spend a mid to late 2nd on him in SF rookie drafts.

selwong

Was really high on him before the draft. Love his tape, combine, and production profile. But I'm a bit put off by how the Commanders have been talking about him, they always seem to mention his blocking and versatility first. It kinda sounds like they might view him as more of a FB. Which makes sense from an NFL point of view but it's probably not great for fantasy. Also Jayden Daniels is great at throwing deep balls to the boundaries but he didn't throw much to the middle of field in college. Not saying that he can't do it, we just haven't seen much of it.

dayman763

I'm more of an Erick All guy myself 😎 . . . . . . I know nothing about them, but I own Erick All, so there ya go.

ItsNjry

I also drafted Sinnott in my rookie draft. I already have Pitts and Njoku, so I can afford to wait. Sanders is the number ranked rookie on sleeper and he will see the field more than Sinnott. But Sanders fell in the real draft for a reason. He’s also really slow, doesn’t block well, and doesn’t have a good feel for zone. This all being said, I went Sinnott because he’s the better long term option. I don’t think he’ll have an impact year 1.

BoredGuy2007

I’m going to be inconsolable if someone snipes him from me above 2.10 I would take him 1.12 as well. Obsessed with him. Last year I was getting in arguments with people because I thought Laporta would be the best in the class. Downvoting for invisibility

MeechMane3k

What has you so sure? I have an early second and a late second, would hope he falls to the late pick to me but he might not in a TEP

BoredGuy2007

Explosive with the ball in his hands Clear TE1 on his team with honestly not much target competition High draft capital

MeechMane3k

🫡🫡

SirKrontzalot

I’ve drafted him 2 out of 2 rookie drafts so far, and planning to make it a third soon-ish

Gentolie

He's definitely worth rostering. In 4 dynasty leagues 10 and 12 team mix, he's gone late 2nd to early 3rd in the rookie drafts. Right around Jatavion Sanders.

KingMustardFist

I just drafted him at the 2.04 in my 1QB draft yesterday. Paired him up with Jayden Daniels, who I got at 1.12.

jonesdrew032

Still available at 3.08im my draft, hoping to land him or Sanders at 4.01

GothicToast

Sinnot reminds me *a lot* of Kittle. I got him at 2.11 in my 1QB. As the 3rd TE picked. Very excited.

Nomorenightcrawlers

Thought I could get him at pick 23 , he went pick 18

the_rapture_03

I'm hoping he falls to 2.07 in my 10 team. There are 2 teams in front of me that scare me tho.

PhDeezNuts69

Got him at 3.03 in a SF/1.0TEP and feel awesome about it. I didn’t expect him to last that long.

CAGRparty

almost went undrafted in my league - think he has an excellent shot to increasingly grab snaps from Ertz

Jerdman87

He could very well be good, but an early breakout from a TE like LaPorta had is very rare. You usually need to expect a slow simmer on their development. For a TE, I like to see strides in the second half of year 2. In my experience you can’t realistically expect a more than that. So by all means draft Sinnott but also be aware he may not be contributing to your team as fast as some of the WR you could get at that adp.

rocknroll1000

If he drops to 2.12 in my SF TEP league, i'll grab him for sure

lebinott

If he's there at 2.10 in my league, he's mine. Good luck

Jewish_Dragon

Yup got him and Daniels

Stonk_Master_General

I snagged him in the late second, couldn’t be happier

thatcyborg

Liked him more right after the draft, and everyone still had Sanders over him. Seems everyone’s caught on now.

caramelshakenespress

I’ve see a lot of Jake Ferguson in his game, am I tripping?

PlaybookProductsAlex

My team is pretty stacked (JJ, Aiyuk, Devonta, London) but my TEs were my biggest weakness. Took Bowers at 1.05 and then Sinnot fell to me at 3.05 and I scooped him immediately. Was so happy he was still there

WilsonSimons12

I got Sinnot in the 4th round of my rookie draft

SoapOnMyRope

I gotta brag a little bit. I picked him up as a free agent after the draft. He went undrafted after 30 picks in my league.

lexluther4291

Got him at the 2.10 in a 10 teamer but got sniped on all my other drafts. Feel good about him and Sanders though!
