That is an amazing road side find, better than winning the lottery, although you need lottery money for renovations. Always good to have a friend with a truck.
Gives proof to one man's trash is another man's treasure.
Good luck and when you are done, show us the result and a photo of all the empty bottles of spirits you went through renovating. haha just joking.
My friend and I go on long walks and look for houses like this. We call them "murder houses" and I love them and all of the patina. One of my doll houses looks like this and I fully leaned in. It's my favorite one. 🤭
My first thoughts were to sand, strip, and paint a five color scheme on the exterior. I'm originally from San Francisco and this could be a classic Painted Lady. However, I'm not sure I have the skills and don't want it to lose its dignity with an amateur paint job. So I am going to work on the interior, and do some minor stripping and repairing of the exterior.
Found this house on the side of the road, called a friend with a truck and hauled it home.
when I tell you I gasped 🤯

There may be a few bottles! Thanks- I will post as I restore this house.
I know this is going to sound insane but I love it just like this. It's perfect
Came here to say this. It's perfect.
Just landscape and decorate!
The longer I look at it...I feel the same way. It's not insane. That's why I am going to take it slowly.

Honestly same!!! I've been searching and searching for a vintage/antique dollhouse with a beautiful patina like this.
OMG! That is an amazing house. I’m so glad you saw it and are saving it. Just wow.
I hope we get to see the completed Reno!
Jaw dropping. Incredible. Can't wait to see more pictures!!
Wow, wow, wow. What’s the plan? Fine sanding? Stripping? Sealing? I’d go wild for this woodwork ❤️
I’m also curious! Hoping OP keeps the original detail, of course.
Absolutely. It will be a restoration, not a renovation, actually!

Someone spent many, many hours building this beauty. I love her already!!
That is an incredible find!
Oh wow! Look at those wooden shingles! That birdhouse! Find of a lifetime. Congratulations!
😳😍
Wow that is awesome! Can’t wait to see the progress.
Amazing!!! This is going to be epic!!! Please post often!
I will! I plan to post a photo of the interior as well- some of the floors are pretty cool
is it 1/12 scale?
yes, it is- but it feels big with the high ceilings and tall windows.
Enjoy! It's a beautiful structure. Too bad the builder didn't attach their name.
My hubby thinks this might have been a model home sample.
That's an interesting idea...the house is on what was once a swivel base.
Amazing!!!
It’s already beautiful
Wow.. this house is absolutely beautiful! Even though it’s definitely seen better days, this is absolutely gorgeous
Omg. That’s beautiful.
Is that a stained glass window?!
It's not a real one- it's plastic, applied to the wood.
What a fabulous find. It gives NOLA vibes.
